The method may include measuring a plurality of values indicating conditions associated with the landfill; computing, based at least in part on the plurality of values and on a model of the landfill, a predicted future state of the landfill; determining, based at least in part on the predicted future state of the landfill, one or more control parameters for one or more respective control devices configured to control operation of the gas extraction system; applying the one or more control parameters to the one or more respective control, and with the one or more control devices, controlling extraction of the landfill gas from the landfill based, at least in part, on the one or more respective control parameters.
GAS DETECTION DEVICE WITH A DETECTOR AND WITH A COMPENSATOR AND GAS DETECTION PROCESS WITH SUCH A GAS DETECTION DEVICE
A gas detection device and a gas detection process monitor an area for a combustible target gas. A detector (10), a compensator (11.1), a sensor array (40, 41) and an analysis unit (9) are arranged in a gas detection device housing. The detector includes an electrically conductive wire with a heating segment (20), electrical insulation around the wire and a catalytic material in the electrical insulation. The compensator extends in a plane and includes an electrical strip conductor (32) with a heating segment and a carrier plate for the strip conductor. The gas detection device applies an electrical voltage to the detector and to the compensator. The detector oxidizes the target gas with the heating segment. The sensor array measures detection variables (U10, U11) for the detector and the compensator. The analysis unit compares the two detection variables to determine if a combustible target gas is present.
TRAFFIC POLLUTION MAPPER
A traffic pollution mapper detects pollution variations and generates mapping information for establishing one or more pollution maps. The traffic pollution mapper includes one or more pollution detectors, installed on vehicles, that detect pollution and generate pollution information from the same as the vehicles travel through traffic. This pollution information may be combined with location information and a timestamp to create mapping information that is stored on a server. The mapping information may be queried by one or more client devices in various formats, including as a pollution map. The traffic pollution mapper may utilize various sensors to detect pollution, including automotive AQSs that provide binary open and close signals.
First vehicle, second vehicle, vehicle control device, and vehicle control system
A vehicle control system includes: a first vehicle including a smell detection unit, a smell determination unit configured to determine whether an intensity of the smell is equal to or larger than a predetermined threshold value, a first acquisition unit configured to acquire first vehicle position information indicating a position of the first vehicle, and a notification unit configured to notify a second vehicle about the first vehicle position information when the smell determination unit determines that the intensity of the smell is equal to or larger than the predetermined threshold value; and a second vehicle configured to communicate with the first vehicle and including an information output processing unit configured to cause an information output unit to output a warning notifying about a presence of the first vehicle when an approach determination unit determines that first vehicle is positioned less than the predetermined distance from the second vehicle.
SCENT-BASED SPOILAGE SENSING REFRIGERATOR
Disclosed are various embodiments for determining whether food in a refrigerator has spoiled. An application executing on a computing device receives an identification of a food item located in a compartment of the refrigerator. The application then receives a chemical sensor reading from the refrigerator, wherein the chemical sensor reading represents a measured amount of a chemical associated with spoilage of the food item. Subsequently, the application determines that the measured amount of the chemical associated with spoilage of the food item exceeds a threshold amount of the chemical associated with spoilage of the food item. Finally, the application sends a notification to the client device, the notification comprising an indication that the food item is spoiled.
MULTISPECTRAL SENSOR BASED ALERT CONDITION DETECTOR
An optical detector device may receive a spectroscopic measurement from a multispectral sensor. The optical detector device may determine, based on the spectroscopic measurement, a particulate size of a particulate. The optical detector device may determine, based on the spectroscopic measurement, an identification of the particulate. The optical detector device may determine, based on the particulate size and the identification of the particulate, that an alert condition is satisfied. The optical detector device may trigger an alert based on determining that the alert condition is satisfied.
