WOUND INTERFACE SYSTEMS WITH INTEGRAL CONTACT SURFACES
A dressing for treating a tissue site with negative pressure including a foam member, a sealing layer, and a cover. The foam member may include a felted portion extending a depth into a surface of the foam member and a non-felted portion. The sealing layer may include a treatment aperture and a first plurality of perforations around the treatment aperture. The felted portion may be configured to contact the tissue site through the treatment aperture. A second plurality of perforations may be formed through the felted portion. At least one of the second plurality of perforations may be exposed to the tissue site through the treatment aperture. The cover may include a film disposed over the foam member and coupled to the sealing layer around the foam member and an adhesive disposed adjacent to the second plurality of perforations.
ADHESIVE BANDAGE CAPABLE OF ADMINISTERING TEMPORARY TATTOO
An adhesive bandage is combined with temporary tattoos. When the bandage is removed with water, a temporary tattoo is transferred to the skin. In some embodiments, the adhesive bandage can comprise a base strip, an adhesive layer, a pad, a protective strip and a temporary tattoo assembly, further comprising of at least an ink layer and a release coating.
COLLAPSIBLE SHEET FOR WOUND CLOSURE AND METHOD OF USE
Embodiments of a negative pressure wound closure system and methods for using such a system are described. Certain disclosed embodiments facilitate closure of a wound by preferentially exerting a negative pressure on tissue. Some embodiments may utilize a collapsible sheet with a plurality of cells.
CONFORMABLE MEDICAL DRESSING
The disclosed medical dressing includes a dressing body with an overlying carrier system that is releasably secured to the dressing body. The carrier has a perimeter carrier portion overlying the perimeter of the dressing body and a central carrier portion overlying some, but not all, of a central area of the dressing body. This carrier construction allows for better handling of the medical dressing during application by giving both stability in some areas and stretching and flexibly in areas without the carrier.
Vacuum wound therapy wound dressing with variable performance zones
A dressing for an open wound includes a cover layer dimensioned for positioning relative to a wound bed. The cover layer permits an evacuation of the space around the wound bed such that a sub-atmospheric pressure may be established to stimulate healing and facilitate the removal of fluid from the wound. Multiple performance zones in the cover layer allow the wound dressing to remain in position through repeated cycles of evacuation without placing undue strain on the wound bed. An outer peripheral zone may include a high peal-strength adhesive while an intermediate zone may include a shear resistant adhesive. A central zone may be devoid of any coating to maximize moisture transmission through cover layer.
WOUND DRESSING
A method and apparatus are disclosed for dressing a wound. The apparatus comprises an absorbent layer for absorbing wound exudate, a liquid impermeable, gas permeable filter layer over the absorbent layer, a cover layer comprising at least one orifice and a first liquid and gas permeable transmission layer underlying the absorbent layer. The transmission layer is in fluid communication with the filter layer.
Elastomeric absorbent articles
The present invention includes disposable absorbent articles, such as disposable undergarment, diapers, other garments, and wound care dressings, having an elastomeric material disposed between two substrate layers and an absorbent core system that disposed on top of or between the two substrate layers. This invention may also include a disposable article having an elastomeric material disposed between two substrate layers without an absorbent core. The inclusion of an stretch adhesive in the construction of the article in various portions of the article (e.g., fastening tabs, front and/or rear sections, entire article, etc.) results in improved securement of the article to a wearer for reducing the risk of leakage and further improving comfort for the wearer. Furthermore, the inclusion of a stretch adhesive can provide a smooth contoured fit to a wearer, thereby improving appearance and self-confidence for the wearer.
VACUUM ASSISTED WOUND DRESSING
Apparatus for the application of topical negative pressure therapy to a wound site is described, the apparatus comprising: a wound contacting element for retaining wound exudate fluid therein; a wound covering element that provides a substantially airtight seal over the wound contacting element and wound site; a vacuum connection tube connecting a wound cavity to a vacuum source; and a vacuum source connected to a distal end of the vacuum connection tube.
Medical dressing
The present invention relates to a dressing having a lateral (x) and a longitudinal (y) extension. The dressing comprises a backing layer, a wound pad contoured by a pair of lateral edges extending in parallel to each other in the lateral direction, and an adhesive layer having a wound facing surface and a non-wound facing surface. The wound pad is arranged between the backing layer and the adhesive layer, and the backing layer extends beyond the periphery of the wound pad to define a border portion along the contour of the wound pad. A release liner is releasably attached to the wound facing surface of the adhesive layer. The release liner is divided by a first dividing line extending in the lateral direction of the dressing to form at least a first removable portion, and a second removable portion, wherein the first and the second portions overlap along the first dividing line to form a first grip member.
Dressing for skin care in a moist environment
Dressing for skin care, having a main compress covered by a membrane with an adhesive contour which extends beyond this compress and which is designed to be applied to the skin, this dressing having an inlet port for a treatment liquid on the main compress, and the membrane having, on at least part of the surface opposite this compress, a permeability that permits exchange of gases.
