Cassettes with offset vias
A cassette may include a substrate, a die coupled to the substrate, and an electrical interconnection pad layout formed on a first side of the substrate. The electrical interconnection pad layout may include a first row of interconnect pads including at least one interconnect pad. Each interconnect pad of the first row of interconnect pads may be electrically coupled to one of a first set of vias. The electrical interconnection pad layout may also include a second row of interconnection pads including at least one interconnect pad. Each interconnect pad of the second row of interconnect pads being electrically coupled to one of a second set of vias. The second set of vias electrically coupled to the second row of interconnect pads are offset relative to an alignment of the interconnect pads of the first and second rows.
HIGH THROUGHPUT SYSTEM FOR PERFORMING ASSAYS USING ELECTROCHEMILUMINESCENCE INCLUDING A CONSUMABLE SHAKING APPARATUS
The present invention relates to a system for performing assays on a solid phase to measure the level of analyte in a sample. Such a system may perform immunoassays using electrochemiluminescence (ECL) including a counterbalanced orbital shaking apparatus for assay consumables. The counter-balanced orbital shaking apparatus also incubates the assay consumables, and has a cooling system to maintain a preset temperature within the shaking apparatus.
TARGET MATERIAL EXTRACTION APPARATUS WITH REPLACEMENT OF MAGNETIC BAR BLOCK ALLOWED
The present invention relates to an extraction apparatus capable of simultaneously extracting target materials from multiple biological samples and, more particularly, to a target material extraction apparatus in which magnetic bar blocks can be replaced according to kinds of multi-well plates to be inserted into a cartridge. When used, the target material extraction apparatus of the present invention is operated in such a manner that among various multi-well plates having different numbers of wells, multi-well plates suitable for a use purpose are loaded into a cartridge within the apparatus and magnetic bar blocks equipped with magnetic bars suitable therefor are selected and loaded. Thus, the apparatus has the advantage of selectively applying various multi-well plates to one installment according to the number of samples from which a target material is extracted or to the amount of the target material to be extracted.
Diagnostic systems and methods
A diagnostic system is configured to perform first and second, different nucleic acid amplification reactions. The system includes a bulk reagent container compartment configured to store first bulk reagent container containing a first bulk reagent for performing sample preparation processes with a first subset and a second subset of a plurality of samples and a second bulk reagent container containing a second bulk reagent for performing the first nucleic acid amplification reaction. The system includes a unit-dose reagent compartment storing a unit-dose reagent pack including unit-dose reagents for performing the second nucleic acid amplification reaction. The system is configured to perform the sample preparation process using the first bulk reagent on the first and second subsets of the samples, perform the first nucleic acid amplification reaction using the second bulk reagent on the first subset of the samples, and perform the second nucleic acid amplification reaction using the unit-dose reagents on the second subset of the samples.
PLATE TRANSPORT DEVICE AND PLATE CHANGER
A plate transport device includes a main body, first and second moving members and first and second elastic members. The main body has an intermediate supporter. The first and second moving members have first and second supporters, respectively. The first and second moving members are supported to be movable in a first direction with respect to the main body. The first elastic member is provided between the intermediate supporter and the first supporter, and supplies a first biasing force directed toward the intermediate supporter in the first direction to the first moving member. The second elastic member is provided between the intermediate supporter and the second supporter, and supplies a second biasing force, which is directed toward the intermediate supporter in the first direction and opposite to the direction in which the first biasing force is directed, to the second moving member.
CARTRIDGE ASSEMBLY TRAY FOR IMMUNOASSAY TESTS
This invention relates to a cartridge assembly tray for conducting automated biochemical tests, such as immunoassay tests. The tray comprises a base member, a hinged frame and a locking mechanism. The base member includes a plurality of slots within the base member. Each of the plurality of slots is to receive a test cartridge. The hinged frame is coupled to the base member. The hinged frame is capable to rotate to an opened position or a closed position. The hinged frame includes a horizontal push bar configured to apply a downward force to test cartridges received in the plurality of slots when the hinged frame is in the closed position. The locking mechanism is to lock the hinged frame in the closed position when the hinged frame rotates to the closed position.
BASE MODULE AND TRAY INSERT OF A MULTIPURPOSE TRAY FOR AN AUTOMATED PROCESSING SYSTEM, MULTIPURPOSE TRAY FOR AN AUTOMATED PROCESSING SYSTEM, AND METHOD OF SIMPLIFIED LOADING/UNLOADING OF A MULTIPURPOSE TRAY INTO/FROM AN AUTOMATED PROCESSING SYSTEM
The present invention describes a base module (100) and a tray insert (200, 300, 400) of a multipurpose tray (100) for an automated processing system, such as an analytical, pre-analytical or post-analytical processing system, as well as to a multipurpose tray comprising such base module and such tray insert, wherein the tray insert can be particularly used for holding a plurality of reagent or sample tubes to be processed in the automated processing system. The present invention further relates to a method of simplified loading/unloading of such a multipurpose tray into/from the automated processing system.
DISPENSER PLATFORMS
In one example, a dispenser platform can include an enclosure that includes a first actuator to move a support in a first plane, wherein a portion of the support extends outside the enclosure, and a second actuator coupled to the portion of the support that extends outside the enclosure to move a stage coupled to the support in a second plane.
AUTOSAMPLERS AND ANALYTIC SYSTEMS AND METHODS INCLUDING SAME
An autosampler includes a carrier for receiving a plurality of sample containers each having a top end and a visible indicium. The visible indicia are located below a top plane defined by the top ends. The autosampler includes: an optical sensor configured to read the visible indicia and to generate a corresponding output signal, and having a line of sight; a controller configured to receive the output signal; and a sampling system to withdraw a sample from the sample containers. The autosampler is operative to relatively move the optical sensor and/or the carrier such that the line of sight intersects the visible indicium of a selected one of the sample containers, wherein the line of sight extends: downward from a height above the height of the top plane; at an oblique angle to the top plane; and through a gap between the selected sample container and an adjacent sample container.
