Tarsus eyelid support
Embodiments disclosed herein relate to a device and method for holding a superior tarsus of an eye in a closed position. Some embodiments of the device can comprise a first main surface configured to be applied against an upper eyelid having eyelashes when the upper eyelid is in a closed position such that an inferior edge of the eyelid patch is positioned above the eyelashes of the upper eyelid. The first main surface can have an adhesive thereon. The device is configured to be applied above the eyelashes, below the eyebrow, and to form multiple curvatures to maintain sufficient rigidity to maintain the upper eyelid in a closed position. Additionally, some embodiments of the device have thinned or more flexible portions that can improve the conformability and fit of the device to the user's anatomy.
Eye patch and related method
An eye patch includes a single layer substrate comprising a sheet of material having a first region and a second region. An outer edge extends around the substrate and a slit extends through the substrate so as to form a first flap and a second flap. A first adhesive portion is applied to the substrate near the first region such that the first and second flaps each receive part of the first adhesive portion. A second adhesive portion is applied to the substrate near the second region, and the second adhesive portion is discontinuous with the first adhesive portion. The first and second flaps are configured to be placed into an overlapping arrangement and adhered together by the first adhesive portion to give the eye patch a generally cupped shape. The first and second adhesive portions provide two locations for adhering the eye patch a patient's face.
HIGH-PRECISION DRUG DELIVERY BY DUAL-DOMAIN OCULAR DEVICE
The present invention relates to a nanocomposite ocular device that can release drugs within a close distance to the ocular surface and provide controlled and sustained release of the drug at a constant rate. The device can achieve both optical and medical functions. The device comprises a drug, one or more reservoir domains, and a barrier layer configured to block the drug diffusion paths from the reservoir domain to the ocular surface in the eye of the subject, wherein the drug partitions between the reservoir domain and the barrier layer, and the equilibrium drug solubility in the reservoir domain is at least five folds higher than that in the barrier layer.
SUBOCCIPITAL COMPRESSION PAD
A suboccipital compression pad including a pad member configured to contact an occipital region of a patient, and a pair of securing straps extending respectively from opposing ends of the pad member, at least one of the securing straps being provided with a fastening member at a distal end thereof and configured to fasten the at least one of the securing straps to the other securing strap proximate the forehead of the patient to compress the pad member to the occipital region, wherein each of the securing straps are configured with an open space such that portions of the respective securing straps are located above and below the patient's ears, without covering the ears, when the securing straps are fastened together.

Bilateral compression device
The present invention provides an improved bilateral compression device for post-operative surgical site, the bilateral compression device including a central cavity presented by an outerwall and a circumscribing sidewall, the central cavity in receipt of a post-operative pillow further comprising an outer membrane separated from an inner membrane for exerting a central compressive force towards the post-operative surgical area which varies from a surrounding compression force.
System for Treatment of Eye Conditions
A dry eye treatment device and method including a pliable thermal pack engageable upon a first side of a vibration ring is provided. The vibration ring has a second side adapted for positioning on the face of a user to communicate vibration to the eyelids of a user from the vibration ring, and heat or cold from a bulging portion of the thermal pack communicating through a pair of openings in the vibration ring. A cover forming a cavity on the face of the user to house the vibration ring and the thermal pack may also be employed.

Suboccipital compression pad
A suboccipital compression pad may include a pad member configured to contact a suboccipital region of a patient. A suboccipital compression pad may include a pair of securing straps extending respectively from opposing ends of the pad member, the pair of securing straps having proximal ends diverging into upper rear straps and lower rear straps to form an open space between the upper rear straps and the lower rear straps such that portions of the upper rear straps are located above ears of the patient and portions of the lower rear straps are located below ears of the patient without covering ears of the patient, wherein one of the upper rear straps and the lower rear straps of the pair of securing straps is configured to be selectively attachable to different locations of a back side of the pad member.
COSMETIC EYELID SHAPING TAPE
There is provided a cosmetic eyelid shaping tape for performing pseudo plastic surgery on an eyelid at inner-canthus and outer-canthus end portions of the eyelid by forming a constricted portion in the eyelid using resilient elasticity after extension of a base piece. The double-eyelid-forming tape includes a tape-shaped member formed by laminating adhesive layers on both surfaces of a base piece, and a pair of release sheet pieces bonded to the adhesive layers. The release sheet pieces each have groove-shaped tearable portions that are easily tearable when being pulled in a longitudinal direction. The tearable portions each have a groove width gradually expanding from a groove bottom toward the outer surface of the corresponding release sheet piece. The tearable portions include first tearable portions formed at sides of the center of the tape, and a second tearable portion at the center and deeper than the first tearable portion.
