Absorbent Article
Absorbent articles designed and configured to leverage a greater amount of plant-derived materials and/or to minimize the inclusion of unwanted materials towards providing a more pure end product to consumers desiring the same are described.
METHODS OF MANUFACTURING ZONED WEBS
A method of manufacturing zoned webs can include providing a substrate and transferring the substrate in a machine direction. The method can include modifying the substrate to include a plurality of lanes to provide a modified substrate. The plurality of lanes can include a first lane and a second lane. The first lane can include a first zone and a second zone. The first zone can include an open area greater than an open area of the second zone. The second lane can include a third zone and a fourth zone. The third zone can include an open area greater than an open area of the fourth zone. The first lane and the second lane can be formed such that the first zone in the first lane is staggered in the machine direction from the third zone in the second lane. The method can also include slitting the modified substrate between adjacent lanes in the plurality of lanes to provide zoned webs.
METHOD FOR WINDING PREFORMS
A method for winding preforms for the manufacture of tampons feeds a material tape. Strips in the form of tapes are separated from this material tape and pushed into a continuously rotating winding drum by at least one drive roller in such a way that the strip is positioned between a winding fork and a guide bar such that when the winding fork moves around the guide bar, the latter pushes a section of the strip into a fork gap of the winding fork and thus enables entrainment. Also, a corresponding device carries out the method.
Method and unit for making sections of padding for absorbent sanitary articles
In a unit for making sections of padding for absorbent sanitary articles comprising a first rotary conveyor for feeding and forming a continuous succession of outer pads, comprising at least one layer, a second rotary conveyor for feeding and forming a continuous succession of inner pads comprising two layers, a third rotary conveyor for the pads defining a position for superposing the outer pads and the inner pads, there are compressing means for the two-layer inner pads upstream of the superposing position and second compressing means for the superposed pads downstream of the superposing position.
Absorbent Article
Absorbent articles designed and configured to leverage a greater amount of plant-derived materials and/or to minimize the inclusion of unwanted materials towards providing a more pure end product to consumers desiring the same are described. The absorbent articles may include plant-based materials in both a wearer-facing layer and the opposing garment-facing layer.
Absorbent Article and Method of Manufacturing Same
An absorbent article includes an absorbent element obtained by wrapping an absorbent body in a wrapping sheet, wherein the absorbent body is obtained by mixing and accumulating fibers and high absorbent polymer particles and includes an impregnation layer impregnated with a hot melt adhesive having melt viscosity of 1,000 to 6,000 mPa.Math.s on at least one side of a front face side and a back face side thereof. A part of an internal surface of the wrapping sheet facing the impregnation layer is bonded to an external surface of the impregnation layer through an adhesive layer made of a hot melt adhesive having melt viscosity within a range of 4,000 to 9,000 mPa.Math.s and having higher melt viscosity than melt viscosity of the hot melt adhesive impregnated into the impregnation layer.
Absorbent Article and Method of Manufacturing Same
An absorbent article has a wrapping sheet wrapping an absorbent body including an intermediate part located on one side of front face side and back face side of the body and both side parts folded back to the other side of the body from the intermediate part. Distal ends of the both side parts are overlapped on the other side of the body to form a connecting portion. A whole part of an internal surface of the wrapping sheet faces the body and is bonded to an external surface of the body through hot melt adhesives. A usage amount of the hot melt adhesives bonds the wrapping sheet and the body together and is larger at least in a region of both end portions in a width direction on the other side of the body than on the one side of the body.
Absorbent Article and Method of Manufacturing Same
An absorbent article has an absorbent body obtained by mixing and accumulating fibers and high absorbent polymer particles. A wrapping sheet includes an intermediate part located on a front face side of the absorbent body and both side parts folded back to a back face side of the absorbent body from the intermediate part. Distal ends of the both side parts of the wrapping sheet are overlapped on the back face side of the absorbent body to form a connecting portion. A total weight of the high absorbent polymer particles is larger than a total weight of the fibers in the absorbent body. A content rate of the high absorbent polymer particles of the absorbent body increases stepwise or continuously from the back face side toward the front face side.
Absorbent core with absorbent material pattern
A substantially planar absorbent core (28) extending in a transversal direction (x) and a longitudinal direction (y), comprising a core wrap (16, 16) enclosing an absorbent material (60), wherein the absorbent material is substantially free of cellulose fibers and forms a pattern of discrete absorbent material areas. The pattern comprises dot-shaped areas (751) and at least one of transversally-orientated areas (752) or longitudinally-orientated areas (754). The absorbent core may also comprise a pair of channel-forming areas (26).
Method of and apparatus for manufacturing bloomed fiber material
A bloomed fiber material (bloomed tow) is manufactured through a process including: spreading a crimped tow in its width direction by a preliminary blooming device; performing primary blooming to bloom the tow by a primary blooming device; dividing the tow into at least two divided tows by a dividing device; cutting a parting between the divided tows by a cutting device; and performing secondary blooming to bloom the divided tows by a secondary blooming device.
