A vehicle control device is mountable on a vehicle. The vehicle control device includes: a processor; and a memory storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the vehicle control device to perform operations including: acquiring detection information obtained by detecting an obstacle around the vehicle; performing collision determination of evaluating a possibility of collision with the obstacle; generating, based on the detection information, information on an approaching object that is an obstacle approaching the vehicle and information on a detection point indicating an obstacle that does not move; estimating a position of a shielding object based on the information on the detection point; evaluating, based on the position of the shielding object and the information on the approaching object, a ghost likelihood indicating a possibility that the approaching object is a ghost; and excluding, based on the ghost likelihood, the approaching object from the collision determination.
RADAR-BASED VEHICULAR EXTERIOR MIRROR COLLISION AVOIDANCE SYSTEM
A vehicular sensing system includes at least one radar sensor disposed at a vehicle and capturing radar data, an electronic control unit (ECU) having a data processor for processing radar data captured by the at least one radar sensor to detect an object present exterior of the vehicle. The vehicular sensing system, during a parking maneuver of the equipped vehicle, responsive to processing by the data processor of radar data captured by the at least one radar sensor, determines the detected object is within a threshold distance of a predicted path of an exterior side mirror assembly of the vehicle. The vehicular sensing system, responsive to determining the object is within the threshold distance of the predicted path of the exterior side mirror assembly of the vehicle, automatically folds the exterior side mirror assembly toward the side of the vehicle.
Apparatus and method for controlling door opening
A door opening control apparatus and a door opening control method thereof are provided. The door opening control apparatus includes a recognizer configured to recognize a surrounding obstacle based on sensor recognition information received from a plurality of sensors, a determiner configured to calculate a maximum opening angle of a door for preventing collision with the recognized surrounding obstacle and to determine a risk of collision between the door and the surrounding obstacle based on the calculated maximum opening angle, and a controller configured to control an opening angle of the door to prevent the door from colliding with the surrounding obstacle when determining that the risk of collision is present.
Host cells and methods for producing isopentenol from mevalonate
The present invention provides for a genetically modified host cell capable of producing isopentenol and/or 3-methyl-3-butenol, comprising (a) an increased expression of phosphomevalonate decarboxylase (PMD) (b) an increased expression of a phosphatase capable of converting isopentenol into 3-methyl-3-butenol, (c) optionally the genetically modified host cell does not express, or has a decreased expression of one or more of NudB, phosphomevalonate kinase (PMK), and/or PMD, and (d) optionally one or more further enzymes capable of converting isopentenol and/or 3-methyl-3-butenol into a third compound, such as isoprene.
VEHICLE CONTROLLER
A route information storage function having decreased data storage requirements is provided in a vehicle controller that includes a processor, a first storage unit, and a second storage unit and that stores route information indicating a route to a target point. The vehicle controller includes a traveling state acquiring unit that acquires route information on a vehicle, a short-term storage information processing unit that stores the route information in the first storage unit, as short-term storage information, the route information being acquired by the traveling state acquiring unit while the vehicle is traveling, and a long-term storage information processing unit that after the vehicle has reached the target point, determines long-term storage information from short-term storage information stored in the first storage unit, the long-term storage information processing unit storing the determined long-term storage information in the second storage unit.
EVACUATION TRAVEL ASSISTANCE DEVICE, EVACUATION TRAVEL ASSISTANCE METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM
A surrounding environment information generating unit acquires surrounding position information indicating a measured position of a side wall including a side wall of an evacuation spot, and generates measured map information for the side wall using the surrounding position information. When driving operation by a driver cannot be performed, a corrected map information generating unit calculates a correction value obtained by multiplying a difference between a distance from a traveling center line of a host vehicle to the side wall in base map information and that in the measured map information by a reliability, and generates corrected map information obtained by applying the correction value to the base map information. A route generating unit generates an evacuation travel route with the evacuation spot as a destination using the corrected map information. A vehicle control unit outputs a vehicle speed command for the host vehicle using the evacuation travel route.
Vehicle and method of controlling the same
A vehicle includes a sensing device disposed at the vehicle so as to have an external field of view of the vehicle, configured to detect a target vehicle moving from the external field of view to a parking space and a plurality of stationary parked vehicles; a controller configured to obtain a first distance that is a width between the plurality of parked vehicles and a second distance that is a width between one parked vehicle of the plurality of parked vehicles and the target vehicle adjacent to the one parked vehicle; and a warner configured to output a warning signal based on a control command of the controller.
Distance measuring device for vehicle
The present disclosure discloses a distance measuring device for a vehicle. The distance measuring device for the vehicle of the present disclosure includes a fixing portion to be mounted on an outer surface of the vehicle; and a sensor portion which is installed in the fixing portion, irradiates a radio wave to the outside of the vehicle, receives the radio wave from the outside of the vehicle, measures a distance between an object of the outside of the vehicle and the vehicle, or detects the object.
Warning condition adjusting apparatus and method
A warning condition adjusting apparatus may include: a processor configured to determine whether a parking direction of an ego vehicle is a first direction or a second direction, using traveling information of a target vehicle; and to maintain a preset warning condition of a rear cross collision warning (RCCW) system when the parking direction of the ego vehicle is the first direction, and change the warning condition of the RCCW system when the parking direction of the ego vehicle is the second direction.
VEHICLE SENSING SYSTEM WITH 360 DEGREE NEAR RANGE SENSING
A sensing system for a vehicle includes a first sensor at a forward portion of a side of the vehicle such that a principal axis of the first sensor's zone of sensing is rearward and sideward and at an angle relative to the body, and a second sensor at a rearward portion of the side of the vehicle such that a principal axis of the second sensor's zone of sensing is forward and sideward and at an angle relative to the body. Data sensed by the sensors when each sensor senses with at least two zones of sensing are communicated to a control, which determines the presence of one or more objects exterior the vehicle and within the zones of sensing of at least one of the sensors.
