The particles are, for example, flat-plate-shaped particles 1 in which a thickness is in a range of 0.3 nm to 3 nm and an average diameter of principal surfaces of the particles is in a range of 10 nm to 1000 nm. The matrix 2 contains silicon oxide. The principal surfaces of the flat-plate-shaped particles 1 may be disposed substantially parallel to a principal surface of the transparent substrate 10 in the antiglare film 20.
