The present invention discloses a light redirecting film. The light redirecting film comprises a support substrate and an optical substrate. The support substrate comprises a unitary body, wherein the unitary body has a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface. The optical substrate has a third surface and a fourth surface opposite to the third surface, wherein the fourth surface is a structured surface, and the second surface of the unitary body faces the third surface of the optical substrate. A plurality of particles are disposed in a region below the first surface of the unitary body, wherein the thickness of the region is smaller than the thickness of the unitary body.

A coating material composition include a hydroxyl group-containing acrylic resin, a fluororesin, and light diffusive particles, and the hydroxyl group-containing acrylic resin has a weight-average molecular weight in a range of 10,000 to 30,000 and a hydroxyl value in a range of 14 to 70, wherein a mass ratio of the fluororesin to the hydroxyl group-containing acrylic resin (the fluororesin/the hydroxyl group-containing acrylic resin) is in a range of 5/95 to 50/50. The coating material composition can provide the light diffusing properties capable of uniformly diffusing light while effectively masking a light source image.

Multi-layer coating system using voids for heat blocking system and method for manufacturing same
Provided are a multilayered-coating system and a method of manufacturing the same. The multi-layered coating system includes: a layer 1 including a plurality of spherical voids with a radius a.sub.1 that are randomly distributed and separated from one another and a filler material with a refractive index n.sub.1 that is disposed in a space between the spherical voids; and subsequent layers expressed as the following word-equation, “a layer i located above a layer i−1 and including a plurality of spherical voids with a radius a.sub.i that are randomly distributed and separated from one another, and a filler material with a refractive index n.sub.i, the filler material disposed in a space between the spherical voids where i is an integer greater than 1”.

The wavelength conversion element converts a wavelength of part of an exciting light to generate a fluorescent light and thereby generate a combined light in which the fluorescent light is combined with a non-converted light whose wavelength is the same as that of the exciting light. The element includes a fluorescent body, a binder contacting the fluorescent body, and multiple diffuser particles included in the binder. A minimum particle diameter of the multiple diffuser particles is ¼ or more and 4 times or less of a wavelength of the fluorescent light, and a ratio of a volume of the multiple diffuser particles to a total volume of the binder and multiple diffuser particles is 25% or more and 50% or less.
Optical film and display device comprising the same
An optical film may include a light diffusion portion including light scattering particles dispersed in a light transmissive media, and a light transmission portion including the light transmissive media. The light diffusion portion may be adjacent the light transmission portion.
DISPLAY DEVICE
The present invention includes a display panel, and a cover member arranged on the display panel. The cover member includes a glass plate having a first surface and a second surface, an adhesive layer that is layered on the first surface of the glass plate and fixes the glass plate to the display panel, and an optical layer that is layered on the second surface of the glass plate.
