There is provided a display panel including: a light guide structure layer having a light exiting side and configured to enable internal light to be emitted from a preset position; a display structure layer on the light exiting side and including a light adjusting structure, a black matrix and a reflection matrix positioned on a side, away from the light guide structure layer, of the light adjusting structure, the light adjusting structure is configured to control light emitted from the preset position to enter an area where the black matrix is positioned and/or an area where the reflection matrix is positioned; a light absorption structure layer on a side of the light adjusting structure away from the black matrix and configured to absorb light reflected by the black matrix and allow light reflected by the reflection matrix to pass through. A display device is further provided.

The liquid crystal cell includes an upper electrode and a lower electrode and a liquid crystal layer between the upper electrode and the lower electrode and the liquid crystal layer is capable of changing polarization state of a light passing through the liquid crystal cell, by the control of a voltage applied between the upper electrode and the lower electrode.

In an embodiment, a display panel unit includes a reflective polarizing layer, a transparent layer, and a display panel. The polarizing layer transmits a first polarized component of light incident on an incident surface to an exit surface and reflects a second polarized component of the light. The transparent layer transmits the first and second polarized component of the light incident on a second surface to a first surface adhered to the incident surface and transmits the second polarized component reflected by the polarizing layer to be incident on the first surface to the second surface. The panel faces the exit surface, and selectively transmits the light exiting from the exit surface.

The following relationships are satisfied: h.sub.1:h.sub.2=1: 0.5-0.1, and w.sub.1:w.sub.2=1:1.0-0.1, where h.sub.1 is the height of the first protrusions 3a, w.sub.1 is the width of the first protrusions 3a, h.sub.2 is the height of the second protrusions 3b, and w.sub.2 is the width of the second protrusions 3b.
