ABSORBENT CORE HAVING TUBE-SHAPED SWELLING CHAMBER
An absorbent cores includes absorbent material enclosed a core wrap which comprises a liquid permeable substrate layer. The core contains from about 87% to about 100% of superabsorbent polymer and a tube-shaped swelling chamber having a length to width aspect ratio of less than or equal to about 5:1. The area of the core is at least twice the area of the swelling chamber, and the core contains a water responsive immobilizing agent to immobilize the superabsorbent polymer prior to water insult. The tube-shaped swelling chamber is a portion of the absorbent core containing superabsorbent polymer that is delimited by a plurality of continuous permanent seals that each join together overlapping portions of the core wrap and prevent superabsorbent polymer from moving across the seals.
ABSORBENT CORE HAVING FUNNEL-SHAPED SWELLING CHAMBER
Absorbent cores comprising a core wrap which comprises a liquid permeable substrate layer, the core containing from about 87% to about 100% of superabsorbent polymer and having a funnel-shaped swelling chamber. The area of the core is at least twice the area of the swelling chamber, and the core contains a water responsive immobilizing agent to immobilize the superabsorbent polymer prior to water insult. The funnel-shaped swelling chamber is a portion of the absorbent core containing superabsorbent polymer and delimited by continuous permanent seals. Two permanent continuous seals form first opposing funnel wall segments, wherein first opposing funnel wall segments collectively comprise a first chamber angle about 20° to about 120°, the first chamber angle being the sum of angles formed by each first opposing wall segment with respect to the longitudinal axis.
ADULT DIAPER APPARATUS
The invention features a diaper apparatus that may be adaptable for use by users of different sizes, weights etc. where the apparatus may, in one aspect of an embodiment of the present invention include the use of flaps (ties) and/or chords for, among other things, fastening and adjustment.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE HAVING WAIST GASKETING ELEMENT
An absorbent article for wearing about the lower torso of a wearer includes a first waist region having a first waist edge, a second waist region having a second waist edge, and a crotch region disposed between the first and second waist regions. The article further includes a chassis having a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and backsheet. A waist gasketing element is joined to the chassis and disposed in one of the first waist region or the second waist region. The waist gasketing element has a top layer and a bottom layer, and first area, A1. The top layer is bonded to the bottom layer in a closure bond region by a closure bonding technique. The closure bond region has an aggregate closure bond area, BA, which is less than 60% of the first area, A1.

ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH WAIST GASKETING ELEMENT AND LEG CUFFS
A disposable absorbent article may include a chassis that includes a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet; and a leg gasketing system and a waist gasketing element. The leg gasketing system may include an inner cuff and an outer cuff; the inner cuff may include an inner cuff folded edge and an inner cuff material edge and the outer cuff may include an outer cuff material edge such that the web of material is folded outward to form the inner cuff folded edge. When tested by the Blowout Method Test as described herein, the disposable absorbent article has a Blowout Percent Leakage of less than about 9.0%.
SWIM DIAPER
A swim diaper comprising a liquid pervious topsheet, a liquid impervious backsheet, and an absorbent core positioned in between said topsheet and said backsheet; wherein the absorbent core is substantially free of superabsorbent polymers; wherein, looking from the front transverse edge to the rear transverse edge, the absorbent core comprises subsequently a first, second, third and fourth zone; wherein said first and second zone extend in the front part of the absorbent core and said third and fourth zone extend in the rear part; and wherein the absorbent core is provided with one or more reinforcement zones, extending at least partially in the second and/or third zone.
ABSORBENT ARTICLES WITH BIOCOMPOSTABLE PROPERTIES
Disclosed is an absorbent article with biocompostable properties, such as a baby diaper or adult incontinence product. Particularly, the present invention is directed to a biocompostable absorbent sanitary article including a blend of synthetic and bio-based superabsorbent polymers with a high degree of biocompostability. The sanitary article comprises, in one embodiment, at least a top layer, a back layer, and absorbent core, wherein the absorbent core includes a superabsorbent polymer, and wherein at least the superabsorbent polymer is biocompostable.

System and method for folding article
A method in which, while an article is carried with a main portion in contact with a carrying surface and a to-be-folded portion in contact with a folder plate, includes: a first guiding step, wherein a first guide surface guides the to-be-folded portion of the unfolded article, on a side of the carrying surface, in parallel to the carrying surface; a second guiding step, following the first guiding step, wherein a second guide surface, while being in contact with the to-be-folded portion, gradually raises the to-be-folded portion while moving downstream; and a third guiding step, following the second guiding step, wherein a third guide surface guides the to-be-folded portion so that the to-be-folded portion is folded onto the main portion.
