20190159943 · 2019-05-30 · ·

A disposable diaper 1 has an elasticized leg cuff 10 on each longitudinally extending, lateral side of the crotch portion C. The elasticized leg cuff 10 includes an elastic member fixing sheet 5, an elastic member 6, an inner sheet 31, and an outer sheet 32 in order from the skin facing side. The inner sheet 31 and the outer sheet 32 are bonded to each other via a plurality of longitudinally extending and laterally spaced bonds 7. The elastic member 6 is located between the elastic member fixing sheet 5 and the inner sheet 31 and arranged at a location that does not overlap the bonds 7.

Absorbent article(s) chassis comprising beamed elastics

The present disclosure relates to absorbent article's chassis that may comprise one or more pluralities of tightly spaced (less than 4 mm, less than 3 mm, less than 2 mm, and less than 1 mm) and/or low decitex (less than 300, less than 200, less than 100 dtex) and/or low strain (less than 300%, less than 200%, less than 100%) elastics to deliver low pressure less than 1 psi (according to the conditions defined by the Pressure-Under-Strand Test in the Method below) under the elastics. The elastics in the chassis may be oriented parallel or transverse to the longitudinal axis.

GARMENT WITH DIAPER SUPPORT
20240196995 · 2024-06-20 ·

Examples of a baby garment with diaper support are described. The diaper support comprises a back panel and a front panel. The back panel is connected to the inner side of a back part of a garment along a waist portion. The front panel is connectable to an inner side of the front part of the garment along the front part of the waist portion. The diaper support further has a fastener with a first element and a corresponding second element. When the first and the second elements are separated, the diaper support is in an open configured to allow a user to put on a diaper and when the first and the second elements are joined together, the diaper support in in a close configuration supporting a weight of the diaper.

ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH EXTENSIBLE EARS

An absorbent article has a liquid pervious topsheet, a liquid impervious backsheet, an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and backsheet; first and second opposing longitudinal side edges, a front waist region and a back waist region; and a first and second back ear extending outwardly from the first and longitudinal side edges in the back waist region, respectively. The first and second back ears have an engineering strain greater than about 8% at about or below 2N of force when measured according to the Back Ear Extension Test, and a roughness Ra lower than about 300 m when measured according to the Roughness Test.

ADHESIVE TAPE ASSEMBLIES

Various fastening tape closure assemblies are described. The closure tapes are useful in the manufacture of disposable articles, and particularly disposable diapers. The closure tapes generally include a fastening component, an extension component, and a bonding component. The tape systems provide a new folding configuration and reduced adhesive along a face of the extension component. Also described are disposable articles utilizing the tape closure assemblies.

Disposable pull-on diaper

Disposable pull-on diapers of the present disclosure may have optimized waist circumferential length and leg opening length.

CONFIGURABLE ABSORBENT ARTICLES

Configurable absorbent articles are provided. The absorbent articles may comprise a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core positioned at least partially intermediate the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent articles may comprise a first waist region, a second waist region, a crotch region extending intermediate the first waist region and the second waist region, and an outer cover material joined to the backsheet and forming a portion of a garment-facing surface of the absorbent article. The absorbent articles may comprise a pair of leg cuffs and a fully removable fastening member. The fastening member may comprise a first fastener on a first surface of the fastening member and positioned proximate to a first end and a second fastener on the first surface and positioned proximate to a second end. The absorbent articles may also comprise a wetness guard.

Methods and apparatuses for making elastomeric laminates with elastic strands unwound from spools on surface unwinders

The present disclosure relates to methods for assembling elastomeric laminates, wherein elastic material may be stretched and joined with either or both first and second substrates. First spools are rotated to unwind first elastic strands from a first unwinder in a machine direction. The first elastic strands are positioned between the first substrate and the second substrate to form an elastomeric laminate. Before the first elastic strands are completely unwound from the rotating first spools, second spools are rotated to unwind second elastic strands from a second unwinder. Subsequently, the advancement of the first elastic strands from the first unwinder is discontinued. Thus, the elastomeric laminate assembly process may continue uninterrupted while switching from an initially utilized elastic material drawn from the first spools to a subsequently utilized elastic material drawn from the second spools.

Surface protrusion formations and methods of manufacturing

Methods and systems for mechanically forming one or more surface protrusions integrally from a garment material, the one or more surface protrusions extending outwardly from a garment surface of the garment material, include placing at least one selected area of the garment surface against a first surface of a forming die having a plurality of openings which have a configuration and orientation corresponding with the configuration and orientation of the one or more surface protrusions of the garment material. The garment surface may be softened by application of a source of energy, wherein the source of energy comprises at least two sonotrodes mounted in a rotary drum. At least some of the softened garment surface is positioned into at least one opening of the plurality of openings.
