Valve apparatus, system and method

A venous valve with a frame and a cover on the frame for unidirectional flow of a liquid through the valve.

Aortic insufficiency valve percutaneous valve anchoring

An anchoring device for use within a cardiovascular structure includes an expandable ring having a central axis extending in a longitudinal direction. At least one leg extends from the ring in the longitudinal direction. The leg includes a first end connected to the ring and a free end, with at least one anchor connected to the leg. The anchoring device may be used to anchor a transcatheter heart valve within the cardiovascular structure.

Truncated Cone Heart Valve Stent

A heart valve stent having a section with a heart valve implant and several proximally disposed tissue anchors, also comprising a plurality of anchoring threats, each with a proximate end fastened to the stent or valve and a distal end attached to tissue within a heart chamber to provide tension between the heart chamber tissue and the stent.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR DELIVERING PROSTHESES USING RAIL TECHNIQUES
20220039950 · 2022-02-10 ·

Exemplary embodiments provide methods and systems for delivering a prosthesis to a target location in a luminal system of a patient. At least one tether is secured proximate the target location to serve as a rail, and a prosthesis is advanced along the rail to the target location and secured in place. Exemplary methods and systems provide for repair of the mitral and tricuspid valves, as well as abdominal aortic aneurysms, stomach valves, fallopian tubes and the pulmonary system, among others. Also disclosed are various prostheses suitable for use with the disclosed methods and systems.

HEART VALVE LEAFLET REPLACEMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SAME
20170258589 · 2017-09-14 ·

A prosthetic heart valve for treatment of a diseased heart valve having native anterior and posterior leaflets that move between an open configuration and a closed position to regulate blood flow through the heart valve during a cardiac cycle of a heart. The prosthetic heart valve having a crescent shaped stent, at least one prosthetic leaflet mounted on an inner surface of the stent, and at least one prong structure coupling a portion of the at least one prosthetic leaflet to a lower ventricular portion of the stent frame. The prosthetic heart valve further having systems for anchoring the upper flared portion of the stent to a posterior portion of the native valve annulus.

Expandable annuloplasty ring and associated ring holder

Devices and methods are provided for surgical repair of dilated aortic root to restore aortic valve competence while preserving native leaflets. In one aspect of the invention an expandable annuloplasty ring is provided for external placement at the base of a dilated aortic root. The expandable ring is capable of elastically expanding between a first diastolic diameter and a larger second systolic diameter to provide a physiologically representative surgical repair of the aortic root. In a further aspect of the invention, is provided a holder assembly for aortic annuloplasty ring and suitable for other cardiac valve prosthesis. The holder assembly consists of a holder body pivotingly coupled to a handle member through a ball-and-socket arrangement.

Prosthetic heart valve having improved commissure supports

A prosthetic heart valve according to the present disclosure comprises a radially collapsible and expandable annular frame and a leaflet structure comprising a plurality of leaflets mounted within the frame. The frame in particular embodiments can have commissure attachment portions that are configured to support the commissures of the leaflets at locations spaced radially inwardly toward the longitudinal flow axis of the prosthetic valve relative to the frame portions circumscribing the moveable portions of the leaflets. When the leaflets open under pressure of blood flowing through the prosthetic valve, the moveable portions of the leaflets are retained at positions spaced inwardly from the inner surface of the frame to protect against abrasion of the leaflets.

Crimping apparatus for crimping prosthetic valve with protruding anchors

Embodiments of an apparatus, and a method for crimping expandable stents or prosthetic valves having a radially expandable and compressible annular body and one or more protruding anchors extending from the body using the apparatus, where the apparatus comprise a housing, a plurality of circumferentially arranged nesting jaws, and an actuator configured to move the jaws radially inwardly to reduce the size of the crimping aperture, thereby radially compressing the annular body of the prosthetic valve or stent. In particular embodiments, a selected set of the jaws, each having a front side and a recessed portion in its front side adjacent to its inner end. The recessed portions of the selected jaws collectively are sized and shaped to receive the one or more anchors of the prosthetic valve when the annular body is positioned within the crimping aperture.

PROSTHETIC HEART VALVE HAVING IMPROVED COMMISSURE SUPPORTS

A method of implanting a prosthetic heart valve within a patient can comprise inserting a distal end portion of a delivery apparatus and a prosthetic heart valve into the patient and advancing the prosthetic heart valve to a deployment location within the heart of the patient and inflating one or more of a plurality of differently-sized balloons in a balloon-assembly on the distal end portion of the delivery apparatus. The prosthetic heart valve can be mounted on the balloon assembly in a crimped state and the inflating of the one or more of the plurality of differently-sized balloons can expand the prosthetic heart valve from the crimped state to a radially expanded state having a non-cylindrical shape.

VALVED CONDUIT WITH EXPANDABLE FRAME
