BRAIDED STENT AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A BRAIDED STENT
20170231746 · 2017-08-17 ·

A stent may be actuatable between a delivery configuration and a deployed configuration. A stent may include one or more interwoven filaments each including a cross-sectional profile having at least one flattened portion. A flattened portion of a first filament portion of the one or more filaments may be positioned in contact with a flattened portion of a second filament portion of the one or more filaments.

Stent graft delivery system

A system for treating an aneurysm comprises an elongate flexible shaft and an expandable member. An expandable scaffold is disposed over the expandable member and may be expanded from a collapsed configuration to an expanded configuration. A double-walled filling structure is disposed over the scaffold and has an outer wall and an inner wall. The filling structure is adapted to be filled with a hardenable fluid filing medium so that the outer wall conforms to an inside surface of the aneurysm and the inner wall forms a substantially tubular lumen to provide a path for blood flow. In the expanded configuration the scaffold engages the inner wall of the filling structure. A tether is releasably coupled with the filling structure and the flexible shaft thereby constraining axial movement of the structures relative to each other.

PROSTHETIC HEART VALVE

A prosthetic heart valve includes a stent body for supporting prosthetic valve leaflets and an anchoring frame for anchoring the stent body to annulus. The anchoring frame is configured at a pre-set position located close to an outflow tract, the stent body is configured on an outer side of the anchoring frame and at a pre-set position located far away from the outflow tract, and the anchoring frame abuts against and is connected to the stent body.

TRICUSPID VALVE PROSTHESIS

A tricuspid valve prosthesis includes a stent body implanted at a tricuspid valve annulus for supporting a prosthetic valve leaflet, and an anchoring structure disposed above the stent body for anchoring the stent body at a native valve annulus for preventing the stent body from displacing, wherein the anchoring structure is configured to be partially attached to a fossa ovalis of an interatrial septum to form a retention force by being attached to the fossa ovalis so that an anchoring effect on the valve prosthesis is achieved.

PROSTHETIC VALVE FOR AVOIDING OBSTRUCTION OF OUTFLOW

A prosthetic mitral valve may be anchored in a native mitral valve. The prosthetic mitral valve preferably has a large anterior prosthetic leaflet that spans the entire width of the native anterior leaflet and the anterior prosthetic leaflet moves away from left ventricular outflow tract during systole to create a clear unobstructed outflow path.

A prosthetic cardiac valve comprises an anchor having an atrial skirt, an annular region, and a ventricular skirt. The prosthetic valve also has a plurality of prosthetic valve leaflets each having a first end and a free end. The first end is coupled with the anchor and the free end is opposite the first end. The prosthetic cardiac valve has an open configuration in which the free ends of the prosthetic valve leaflets are disposed away from one another to allow antegrade blood flow therepast, and a closed configuration in which the free ends of the prosthetic valve leaflets engage one another and substantially prevent retrograde blood flow therepast. The anchor has a collapsed configuration for delivery to the heart and an expanded configuration for anchoring the prosthetic cardiac valve to a patient's heart.

A method and system provide and use a patellar implant. The patellar implant includes a superior portion, an inferior portion opposite to the superior portion, and an anterior portion. The superior portion being configured to reside below a patellar tendon and to elevate and/or tilt the patellar tendon. The inferior portion is configured to be seated in proximity to a tibia. The anterior portion is between the superior portion and the inferior portion. The anterior portion is placed in proximity to a patella. In one aspect, the method includes inserting the implant beneath the patellar tendon and between the patella and a position at which the patellar tendon is affixed to the tibia. In this aspect, the method also includes affixing the implant.

TRANSCATHETER VALVE REPAIR HAVING IMPROVED PARAVALVULAR SEAL

A heart valve assembly includes an inner frame comprising a graft covering housing a prosthetic heart valve, wherein the graft covering extends around the prosthetic heart valve for providing sealing to the heart valve, an outer frame formed from a metallic material and defining a gridded configuration, and being secured to the graft covering by a plurality of stitches, and a sealing material positioned externally to the outer frame for providing sealing between the outer frame and a patient's anatomical wall to prevent paravalvular leaks. The sealing material includes a plurality of radially extending fibers that extend outwardly of the outer frame. The graft covering is made of polyester, polytetrafluoroethylene, expanded polytetrafluoroethylene, or a polymer.

RVOT wire capturing (RWC) system in mitral valve cerclage annuloplasty
11207183 · 2021-12-28 · ·

A mitral cerclage annuloplasty apparatus includes a catheter with a blocking member and a capturing member. The blocking member is in the shape of a pigtail or a balloon, and is configured on the distal portion of the catheter preventing the catheter from traversing through an unsafe zone thereby enabling the catheter to pass through the safe zone. This prevents damage to critical cardiac tissues. The capturing member is adapted for pulling out a RVOT cerclage wire into the IVC, and comprises of an expandable and collapsible mesh so that the RVOT cerclage wire is captured and directed into the IVC through the safe zone. Thus the RVOT cerclage wire is passed through the RV without damaging the heart tissue forming a complete circle around the mitral valvular annulus.

METHODS OF IMPLANTING A PROSTHETIC HEART VALVE WITHIN ANOTHER

The invention is a cardiac implant, and associated methods therefore, configured to repair and/or replace a native heart valve, and having a support frame configured to be reshaped into an expanded/changed form in order to receive and/or support an expandable prosthetic heart valve therein. The implant may be configured to have a generally rigid and/or expansion-resistant configuration when initially implanted to replace/repair a native valve (or other prosthetic heart valve), but to assume a generally non-rigid and/or expanded/expandable form when subjected to an outward force such as that provided by a dilation balloon. The implant may be configured to have a generally D-shaped configuration when initially implanted, but to assume a generally circular form when subjected to an outward force such as that provided by a dilation balloon.
