A toner including a toner particle including a binder resin, wherein fine particles A and B are present on a surface of the toner particle; the fine particles A are a fatty acid metal salt; the fine particles B have a specific volume resistivity; an average theoretical surface area of the toner particle, an amount of the fine particles A, and a coverage ratio of the toner particle surface by the fine particles A satisfy a specific relationship; the amount of the fine particles B is in a specific range; and a proportion F of an area occupied by a part of the fine particles B embedded in a surface vicinity region of the toner in a total area occupied by the fine particles B present in a cross section of one particle of the toner is 50% by area or more.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus that executes an image forming operation for forming a toner image on a recording material and an application operation of applying a metal soap to a surface of an image bearing member by supplying a toner stored in a toner storing unit to the surface of the image bearing member from the developing member. A surficial moving speed of the image bearing member during the application operation is lower than the surficial moving speed of the image bearing member during the image forming operation, and a speed difference between the surficial moving speed of the developing member and the surficial moving speed of the image bearing member during the application operation is larger than that during the image forming operation.
TONER
A toner has a toner particle containing a resin having an acid group, an aluminum pigment, and a fatty acid metal salt, wherein an acid value of the resin having an acid group is in a range of from 5 mg KOH/g to 25 mg KOH/g, and an amount of the resin having the acid group is 50% by mass or more; an amount of the aluminum pigment is in a range of from 10% by mass to 40% by mass; the fatty acid metal salt is represented by formula (RCOO).sub.pM(OH).sub.q; and an amount thereof is in a range of from 1 part by mass to 10 parts by mass based on 100 parts by mass of the aluminum pigment.
WHITE TONER AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
A white toner comprising a toner particle including a binder resin, an inorganic white pigment, and a polyvalent metal salt compound, wherein the inorganic white pigment has an acidic group at a surface thereof; an amount of the inorganic white pigment in the toner particle is 10% to 50% by volume; the polyvalent metal salt compound is a specific compound; an absolute value of the difference between an SP value (J/cm.sup.3).sup.1/2 of the binder resin and that of the polyvalent metal salt compound is 0.0 to 6.0; and an amount of the polyvalent metal salt compound, an amount of a polyvalent metal, the amount of the inorganic white pigment, and an amount of the acidic group at a surface of the inorganic white pigment satisfy a specific relationship.
MAGENTA TONER
Provided is a magenta toner which is more excellent in durability in a high temperature and high humidity environment than conventional ones. The magenta toner comprises a binder resin, a magenta colorant, a release agent and an external additive, wherein a compound A, a compound B and a compound C each having a specific chemical structure are contained as the magenta colorant, and wherein the release agent has a maximum endothermic peak in a range of from 70 C. to 80 C. during temperature increase, in a DSC curve measured by a differential scanning calorimeter.

A toner having a toner particle having a plurality of fine particles on the surface of a toner base particle, the toner base particle contains a binder resin, wherein a fine particle layer A constituted of a plurality of the fine particles is observed in an EDX mapping image of the constituent elements in a cross section of the toner particle as provided by EDX of the toner particle cross section observed using TEM; a fine particle B, containing a metal compound containing at least one metal element M selected from all the metal elements belonging to Groups 3 to 13, is observed in the fine particle layer A; and the number-average particle diameter D of the fine particle B, the average value H of the thickness of the fine particle layer A, and the standard deviation S on the thickness of the fine particle layer A satisfy prescribed relationships.
