PRETREATMENT COMPOSITIONS
There is provided a method of forming a seam between a first region of polymer film and a second region of polymer film. The method comprises pretreating a first region of a polymer film by applying a pretreatment composition comprising solid lubricant particles onto the first region of polymer film; priming the pretreated polymer film with a primer; electrophotographically printing an electrophotographic ink composition onto the primed polymer film to form a printed image; and solvent-bonding the pretreated first region of polymer film to the second region of polymer film to form a seam.
LIQUID DEVELOPER
A liquid developer containing toner particles and a carrier liquid, the toner particles containing a resin component, wherein the resin component includes a resin A and a resin B, the resin A has a unit Y1 represented by the formula (1) and a unit Y2 represented by the formula (2), the resin B has a unit Y3 represented by the formula (3) and a unit Y4 selected from the units represented by the formulae (4) to (8), the resin A has a unit Y2 content of 1% to 20% by mass, the resin B has a unit Y3 content of 5% to 90% by mass, the resin component has a resin A content of 50% to 99% by mass, and the resin component has a resin B content of 1% to 50% by mass.
Printing substrates
The present disclosure relates to a process for printing a substrate. The process comprises applying an analogue primer over a print substrate. A transparent electrophotographic composition comprising a coupling agent is electrophotographically printed on the primer as a coupling layer. An electrophotographic ink composition is then printed on the coupling layer to form an image layer. The coupling layer is disposed between the primer and image layer and in contact with each of the primer and image layer.
ELECTROSTATIC INK COMPOSITION
Described herein is an electrostatic ink composition comprising a thermoplastic resin comprising a copolymer of an alkylene monomer and an ethylenically unsaturated monomer comprising an epoxide. Also descried herein is a method of printing comprising electrostatically printing an electrostatic ink composition on a surface of a substrate, the electrostatic ink composition comprising a thermoplastic resin comprising a copolymer of an alkylene monomer and an ethylenically unsaturated monomer comprising an epoxide; and reacting the epoxide with the surface of the substrate.

LIQUID DEVELOPER AND IMAGE-FORMING APPARATUS
A liquid developer contains toner particles containing a binder resin and a colorant, a liquid carrier, a toner-particle dispersant, and a compound represented by formula (1). The liquid carrier contains at least one selected from the group consisting of liquid aliphatic hydrocarbons and liquid polysiloxanes. The toner-particle dispersant is an amine-based dispersant.
LABELS
Herein is described a method of providing a printed label. The method comprises: providing a printed label substrate having disposed thereon an electrostatically printed ink; applying a radiation curable overcoat composition to the printed ink, wherein the radiation curable overcoat composition comprises: radiation curable monomers and/or oligomers; a photoinitiator; and an organosilane having at least one hydrolysable group. Printed labels and an ink and overcoat set are also described herein.
