Printer with housing for rolled paper

A printer includes a case including an input port for rolled paper, a cover provided to be rotatable between a closed position of the input port and an open position of the input port, a holding portion that holds the rolled paper, a biasing member that biases the holding portion in a first direction, a stopper mechanism that stops rotation of the holding portion in the first direction, and a linkage mechanism that rotates the holding portion in conjunction with the rotation of the cover. When the cover is in the closed position, the holding portion rotates in the first direction in accordance with an outer diameter of the rolled paper by a biasing force of the biasing member. When the cover rotates from the closed position to the open position, the holding portion rotates together with the cover against the biasing force of the biasing member.

According to some examples, a method comprises successively transferring a series of images from an imaging surface to an intermediate transfer member, ITM, then from the ITM to positions on a web substrate. The method may comprise intermittently adjusting a position at which particular images are transferred to the ITM by a first defined distance laterally across the ITM and by a second defined distance longitudinally with respect to the ITM. The method may comprise adjusting a position at which the particular images are transferred to the web substrate by approximately the first defined distance laterally relative to the ITM and by approximately the second defined distance longitudinally relative to the ITM. The method may comprise, after a first defined number of intermittent position adjustments, changing a direction in which the position is adjusted. A print apparatus and a machine-readable medium are also disclosed.

A dust removal device for continuous paper improves operability and usability for a user. The continuous paper is continuously supplied in a rightward direction, then through guide rollers, the direction of the continuous paper is reversed leftward. A downward front surface of the continuous paper is cleaned with a first dust removal device. Further, a direction of the continuous paper is reversed with a guide roller rightward. A downward back surface of the continuous paper is cleaned with a second dust removal device, and is guided to the downstream side. The two dust removal devices are provided in a vertical positional relationship in space. Dust removed with a dust removing member falls to a dust receiving member and is stored in the dust receiving member. It is possible to easily dispose the dust by pulling out the dust removal device from a cleaning position to an outside detachment position.

An image forming apparatus includes: a conveying unit configured to convey continuous paper in a forward direction and in a reverse direction; an image forming unit configured to form an image on the continuous paper conveyed in the forward direction; a fixing unit configured to fix the image formed onto the continuous paper; an adjusting unit configured to adjust the image forming unit while the continuous paper is conveyed in the reverse direction; and a control unit configured to cause the conveying unit to convey the continuous paper in the reverse direction by an amount equivalent to a predetermined reverse conveyance distance to adjust the bottom edge of the image in a conveying direction to a position on an upstream side of the image forming unit, and cause the conveying unit to convey the continuous paper in the forward direction and cause the image forming unit to resume image formation.

Image forming apparatus and method for establishing a specified angular relationship between a first housing and a second housing

An image forming apparatus includes a first housing that houses a first processing portion and a second housing that houses a second processing portion configured to receive a medium transported from the first processing portion. The image forming apparatus further includes a connecting member that connects the first housing and the second housing to each other such that a specified angular relationship may be established between the first processing portion and the second processing portion by orienting the first housing and the second housing in different directions.

IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD

An image forming apparatus includes an image forming section, a print medium conveying section, and a controller. The print medium conveying section conveys a continuous print medium to the image forming section. The controller receives job data and causes the image forming section to perform, on the continuous print medium, an image forming operation based on the job data. The job data includes cuttable position data related to a cuttable position on the continuous print medium. When a pause signal is received, the controller causes, on a basis of the cuttable position data, the image forming operation to be continued up to an image forming end position on the continuous print medium, and thereafter pauses the image forming operation. The pause signal gives an instruction to pause the image forming operation. The image forming end position corresponds to the cuttable position.
