SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROTECTING THE CEREBRAL VASCULATURE
Vascular filters and deflectors and methods for filtering bodily fluids. A blood filtering assembly can capture embolic material dislodged or generated during an endovascular procedure to inhibit or prevent the material from entering the cerebral vasculature. A blood deflecting assembly can deflect embolic material dislodged or generated during an endovascular procedure to inhibit or prevent the material from entering the cerebral vasculature.
Endoleak preventing stent graft system
An endoleak preventing stent graft system, used for preventing the endoleaks except for type II endoleak, comprising: a metal mesh support layer fit for the shape of the artery blood vessel; a cover film layer covering on said metal mesh support layer; and a flexible mesh layer covering outside said cover film layer, said flexible mesh layer fills up the gap formed between said cover film layer and the inwall of said artery blood vessel under the effect of the flexibility of itself.
IMPLANTABLE PROSTHESIS HAVING ACELLULAR TISSUE ATTACHMENTS
Improved prostheses comprising a tissue expander and a graft material are disclosed herein. Also disclosed are methods of making prostheses and methods of treatment using the prostheses.
Closed Tip Dynamic Microvalve Protection Device
A method includes providing microvalve device having inner and outer catheters, and a filter valve attached to the distal end of the inner and outer catheters. Longitudinal displacement of the inner catheter relative to the outer catheter moves the filter valve from a non-deployed configuration to a deployed configuration. With the inner catheter longitudinally advanced a first amount relative to the outer catheter, the filter valve is in a reduced first diameter for advancement of a guidewire to a target location. Once the filter valve reaches the target location, the inner catheter is moved relative to the outer catheter such that the filter valve assumes a larger second diameter. A therapeutic agent is infused through the inner catheter and beyond the filter valve.
Implantable prosthesis having acellular tissue attachments
A prosthesis comprising a tissue expander and one or more samples of graft material, wherein the tissue expander is attached to the one or more samples of graft material in a manner that allows the tissue expander and the one or more samples of graft material to be implanted in a patient as a unitary prosthesis; and wherein tissue expander is attached to the one or more samples of graft material in a manner that will allow the tissue expander and the graft material to separate after a period of time following implantation to allow removal of the tissue expander from an implant sites while leaving the graft material within the implant site, the prosthesis comprises a tissue expander having molded grooves, slots, channels, or other shallow cavity spaces on a surface, and wherein the graft material is within the grooves, slots, channels, or other shallow cavity spaces, securing the graft material to the tissue expander.
TISSUE SCAFFOLD IMPLANT DEVICES FOR STENOTIC LUMENS
A tissue scaffold implant for expanding a stenotic lumen is provided that includes a bridge structure defining at least two angled sides and a lateral anchor integrally formed with the bridge structure. The lateral anchor is configured to be disposed against at least a portion of an external circumference of the stenotic lumen in a region near an opening formed in the stenotic lumen. At least two seat regions are defined between the at least two angled sides of the bridge structure and the lateral anchor. The at least two seat regions are configured to be received within and support the opening within the stenotic lumen, and the bridge structure and lateral anchor comprise a bioacceptable material.
Closed tip dynamic microvalve protection device
An endovascular microvalve device for use in a vessel during a therapy procedure includes an outer catheter, an inner catheter displaceable within the outer catheter, and a filter valve coupled to the distal ends of the inner and outer catheters. The valve is constructed of a braid of elongate first filaments coupled together at their proximal ends in a manner that the first filaments are movable relative to each other along their lengths. A filter is provided to the braid formed by electrostatically depositing or spinning polymeric second filaments onto the braided first filaments. The lumen of the inner catheter delivers a therapeutic agent beyond the valve. The device is used to provide a therapy in which a therapeutic agent is infused into an organ.
Closed tip dynamic microvalve protection device
A system includes a device having inner and outer catheters, and a filter valve attached to the distal end of the inner and outer catheters. Longitudinal displacement of the inner catheter relative to the outer catheter moves the filter valve from a non-deployed configuration to a deployed configuration. The device has a first configuration in which the distal end of the inner catheter is longitudinally advanced by a first distance relative to the distal end of the outer catheter and the filter valve assumes a stretched configuration, and a second configuration in which the distal end of the inner catheter is longitudinally advanced by a second distance relative to the distal end of the outer catheter to cause the filter valve to assume a diameter larger than in the stretched configuration.
Closed tip dynamic microvalve protection device
A method is provided for infusing a therapeutic. The method includes providing a microvalve device having an inner catheter longitudinally displaceable relative to an outer catheter, and a filter valve coupled to the inner catheter adjacent the distal ends of the inner and outer catheters such that longitudinal displacement of the inner catheter relative to the outer catheter permits the filter valve to be reconfigured from a first configuration to a second configuration. The filter valve is advanced to a target location in via a blood vessel in which the filter valve is configured under tension. Then in an embodiment, the tension is released and the filter valve is placed under compression. Then the therapeutic agent is infused through the inner catheter and out of the orifice of the inner catheter beyond the filter valve.
