An article of apparel is formed that is effective to regulate the temperature of the wearer. In an embodiment, a thermal regulation composition is applied to a surface of a textile substrate at a first temperature and a first pressure to form a thermal regulation membrane disposed on the surface of the textile substrate. The textile substrate with the thermal regulation membrane is compressed at a second pressure and a second temperature to position a portion of the thermal regulation membrane below the surface of the textile substrate. The textile substrate is incorporated into an article of apparel. The thermal regulation composition can include one or more system reactive components provided within a binder, where a system reactive components can include a cooling agent, a latent heat agent and/or a heat dissipation agent.

Men's and women's active wear exercise apparel

The Active Wear Exercise Garment, for men and women, can be worn alone or under clothing, and has various features. The Top section, which supports the breast and chest area, is constructed with fabric that has a plurality of densities with integrated elasticity, such as LYCRA®, spandex, or knit fabric. The Mid to Lower Top section, the Pant section, and the abdomen Wrap are constructed with a four way multi-functional fabric, such as neoprene or similar fabric, and provides multiple benefits to the wearer all at once. These benefits include water weight loss, moisture management, body support, odor control, comfort, and flexibility. The Side Panels have the same fabric as the Top section such as LYCRA®, spandex, or knit fabric, and provides extra support, ease of ingress and egress of the garment, room for the body to decrease or expand, extra breathability so that the body does not overheat, extra comfort and flexibility, provides moisture wicking and quick drying support, and extends from the under arm section to the bottom of the garment.

System and Method for Connecting Garments and Related Articles

A system and method of selectively connecting at least two articles of clothing is provided. First and second articles, which may comprise a glove and jacket sleeve or cuff, have mating geometries and at least one fastener to securely and selectively connect the two articles. In certain embodiments, magnets are provided as fasteners to connect the articles. For example, in certain embodiments, a method and system is provided that comprises features adapted to allow connection of an accessory (e.g. ski glove) to a portion of another article (e.g. jacket).

Textile materials with spontaneous emission and methods of UV protection, shading, warming, and other applications using same

Methods and associated light management system variously provide protection of at least UPF 50, a cooling effect, a shading effect, a warming effect and a source for a photovoltaic device. A textile material absorb incident spectrum including one or more of a UV wavelength, a visible wavelength, and a near infrared wavelength and spontaneously emits light having an emission spectrum including visible light radiation and near infrared radiation. The textile material and associated articles have a high degree of UV blocking property due to strong absorption in the UV range. In addition, the spontaneous emission releases most of the absorbed energy and, therefore, the textile material remains relatively cool under sunlight, the shading effect. Furthermore, the strong spontaneous emission allows for shielding properties even when the apparel is made from otherwise sheer knit or weave structure. Associated application methods and manufacture methods are also disclosed.
