Sanitary fixture
In the case of a sanitary fixture (1), it is provided that at least one covering surface (7), by way of which at least one flow opening (4) of a flow element (3) is openable and at least partially closable in a temperature-dependent manner, is formed on a covering element (6) made of a temperature-sensitive material (cf. FIG. 1).
Multifunctional restrictive valve
A multifunctional restrictive valve for controlling the flow of water therethrough. The valve has a main body with a flow channel through the main body. The main body receives water upstream thereof through an inlet port and passes it out through an outlet port at the downstream end of the body. A flow control assembly is located in the flow channel and includes a temperature sensor/actuator acting on a piston to move, when the temperature sensor heats up the piston, to block water flow control ports. The flow control assembly also includes an override feature wherein the piston is located within a slide and the flow control ports are located in the slide. By moving the slide away from the piston when the piston is blocking the flow control ports, the temperature sensor and piston may be overridden and flow may resume through the main body.
COOLING APPARATUS FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
A cooling apparatus for an engine includes an oil warmer, an engine internal passage, a warmer passage, a water pump, and a thermostat. The warmer passage connects an outlet of the internal passage to an inlet of the internal passage. The thermostat regulates an amount of coolant that flows into the oil warmer. The thermostat includes a valve member, a body, and a plurality of types of wax. The thermostat determines a degree of opening of the valve member in accordance with amounts of expansion of the respective types of wax caused by melting of the respective types of wax. The types of wax include a first wax, which melts at a first temperature, and a second wax, which melts at a second temperature which is higher than the first temperature.
LIQUID COOLING SYSTEM WITH THERMAL VALVE DEFLECTOR
The liquid cooling system has a heat exchanger having a fluid inlet and an outlet; a fluid supply conduit leading to the inlet of the heat exchanger; a fluid return conduit extending from the outlet of the heat exchanger; a bypass conduit extending between the fluid supply conduit and the fluid return conduit; a thermal valve configured for selectively closing the bypass conduit, the valve having a temperature sensing element positioned downstream of both the heat exchanger and the bypass conduit, the temperature sensing element configured to selectively move the thermal valve in response to a temperature change of the liquid which the temperature sensing element is exposed to relative to a temperature threshold of the valve; and a deflector positioned between the temperature sensing element and at least one of the bypass conduit and the heat exchanger outlet.
THERMOSTAT VALVE
A thermostat valve has a cylindrical valve housing formed as a single integrated unit out of synthetic resin material, having an annular body and a frame attached to one end of the annular body by a plurality of legs, a disk-shaped valve stem disposed in another end of the valve housing and movable along an axial direction, a spring seat that holds an opposite end of spring means away from the valve stem and locked and held in place by hooks at tips of locking arms extending from the valve housing, and a thermo-element fixedly mounted to an element guide provided in the frame of the valve housing that moves the valve stem in a valve opening direction in response to fluid temperature. An annular step having a top portion of predetermined width is formed adjacent to the rim of the opening in the one end of the valve housing.
Thermostatic device for controlling the circulation of a fluid, and thermostatic valve comprising such a device
A device including a main plug controlling fluid flow between a chamber and an outside of a housing by pressing against a housing seat, and a bypass plug controlling fluid flow between the chamber and a housing lateral passage. The device includes a thermostatic element with a movable part to which the plugs are connected to control backflows. For efficiency, economy and adaptability to housing geometries, the device includes an adapter, including a tubular body, inside of which a cylindrical sleeve of the bypass plug is fitted to slide, and a lateral tubing extending from an outer face of the tubular body, which has an end for connecting to the lateral passage of the housing, and which discharges into the tubular body via a hole closed by the cylindrical sleeve when the main plug is open, the cylindrical sleeve leaving the hole open when the main plug is closed.
THERMOSTATIC VALVE
The valve includes a housing, a thermostatic element, a first shutter displaced by the thermostatic element along an axis relative to a first seat integrated into the housing to control a flow of fluid between the first and second paths, a cage, a first return spring, a second shutter axially displaced by the thermostatic element relative to a second shutter axially displaced by the thermostatic element with respect to a second seat integrated into the cage, a third shutter axially displaced by the fluid overpressure in the second path relative to a third seat integral with the cage, and a second return spring. The cage includes a tubular part, which is centred on the axis and through the interior of which fluid flows between the second and third paths. An outer face of the tubular part is provided with a seal. The cage also includes arms.
Thermostat device
The thermostat device includes a housing having a valve seat formed thereinside, a thermo-element having one end inserted inside the housing, a valve body seated on or separated from the valve seat by the extension/contraction of the thermo-element, a coil spring biasing the valve body toward the valve seat, and a frame supporting one end of the coil spring. The housing has a hollow body part opening at one end, paired legs erecting from the opening edge of the body part, on whose leading ends the frame is hooked, and ribs provided at the opening edge and contiguous to each root side of the legs. The outer surface of each leg is arc-shaped, and the outer surface of each rib is curved or inclined to extend from the outer surface of the corresponding leg toward the inner side of a circle connecting the outer surfaces of the pair of legs.
Thermostat device and method for manufacturing thermostat device
In a fuel cell cooling device, sliding damage to a piston and the deterioration of sealing performance are prevented despite using a simple structure in which a portion sliding with the piston is made of a brass bushing and a simple and inexpensive method of setting the assembly of the brass bushing to a press-fitted state by light press-fitting and ball burnishing. Provided is a stainless steel cylindrical guide slidably retaining a stainless steel piston, advancing and retracting according to the expansion and contraction of the thermal expansion body, provided at the open end of a bottomed cylindrical case containing a thermal expansion body. A brass bushing is fitted into the inner circumferential portion of the cylindrical guide by light press-fitting and subjected to precision finishing on the inner circumferential surface, for example, by ball burnishing, to be expanded radially by the pressure from the inside and press-fitted.
