Secure electronic device and disassembling tool

A secure electronic device with matching disassembling tool includes a housing and an electronic element. The disassembling tool includes a securing member, a first elastic disassembling member, and a second disassembling member. The securing member is mounted to the housing. The securing member includes an elastic locking block locked to the electronic element. The first elastic disassembling member can reach and be inserted into the securing member. The second disassembling member is inserted in the first disassembling member. When the second disassembling member is then rotated, the first disassembling member is deformed to press the elastic locking block, which unlocks from the electronic element.

EXTENDABLE HANDLE FOR COMPUTER COMPONENT
20170293327 · 2017-10-12 ·

A handle for a computer component, such as a motherboard, of an information handling system may have an adjustable size. By allowing the handle to change size, the advantages of a large handle, such as easy handling and reduced damage to nearby components, are gained, and the advantages of a small handle, such as reduced size and improved airflow, are gained. The handle may be affixed to a computer component by any fastener such as a screw, pin, clip, or plastic connector. The handle may change size by increasing in height from a collapsed position to an expanded position, or change size by decreasing in height from an expanded position to a collapsed position. The handle may be moved into the expanded position for handling during assembly or repairs of a computer system, and then moved in to the collapsed position for normal operation of the computer system.

ELECTRONIC APPARATUS

An electronic apparatus includes a plurality of parts, a frame having an outer periphery surrounding the plurality of parts and formed from resin, a circuit board disposed at one side in a first direction with respect to the plurality of parts, a chassis disposed at the one side in the first direction with respect to the plurality of parts, attached to the frame, and formed from metal, and a metal plate disposed at the other side in the first direction with respect to at least one of the plurality of parts and attached to the frame.

Rigid circuit board with flexibly attached module

An electrical interconnection system comprises a bifurcated, multilayer flex circuit having electrode pads on the inner surfaces of the bifurcation. Electronic components are mounted on one or both sides of the flex circuit by conventional means. When the bifurcation is spread apart, the electrode pads are alignable with respective contacts on a printed circuit board. After bonding the pads to the contacts by soldering, conductive adhesive, or other means, a secure electrical connection is maintained while still allowing the flex circuit to bend somewhat from side to side, creating additional design options not available with rigidly mounted components and modules.

Computer isolation housing

A modular mounting for a computer motherboard. An outer cabinet is designed to provide a protective enclosure for electrical components, and designed to permit throughhole drilling to facilitate mounting on a wall while avoiding disturbance of contents to be mounted within the outer cabinet. A subpanel plate is designed to detachably and securely attach a computer motherboard and cage assembly, and designed to removably mount the motherboard and cage assembly within the outer cabinet as a modular component, mounting of the motherboard and cage assembly being independent of power supply and nonvolatile storage. An inner cage is designed to protectably mount and enclose a computer motherboard and heat sink, and mount to the subpanel plate. A multipole switch may have a set of contacts for each conductor of a network cable entering the outer cabinet, one throw of the switch connecting all conductors of the cable, another throw of the switch disconnecting all contacts of the cable.

Redundant power supply motherboard assembly

A redundant power supply motherboard assembly connects control segments of a fieldbus-type control system to a host computer. The assembly has a compact design with pairs of power supply modules in side-by-side nests on the motherboard. The nests are mounted on the motherboard in desired locations and securely hold the modules on the assembly despite vibrations, shocks and handling to prevent contact impairment. The nests provide touch protection for components on the motherboard.
