A backlight module applicable to a key module is provided, the key module includes a plurality of key units and a baseplate, and the plurality of key units are disposed on the baseplate. The backlight module includes a lower substrate, a plurality of periphery light sources disposed along the peripheral of the baseplate, and a shielding structure. The lower substrate is disposed below the baseplate, and there is an outer edge gap between an outer edge of the baseplate and the lower substrate. The periphery light sources are disposed between the baseplate and the lower substrate. The shielding structure is disposed outside those periphery light sources distributed, to prevent light provided by the plurality of light sources from being emitted out of the outer edge gap.

HAPTIC FEEDBACK SUBSTRATE, HAPTIC FEEDBACK APPARATUS AND HAPTIC FEEDBACK METHOD
20230154293 · 2023-05-18 ·

The present disclosure provides a haptic feedback substrate, a haptic feedback apparatus and a haptic feedback method. The haptic feedback substrate comprises an actuator and a plurality of vibration units connected to the actuator, wherein each vibration unit has a different inherent frequency, the actuator is configured to generate a vibration signal and drive the vibration unit with the inherent frequency being a target inherent frequency to resonate, and a difference between the target inherent frequency and a frequency of the vibration signal is less than or equal to a present threshold. By controlling the actuator to generate the vibration signal, the vibration unit with inherent frequency being close to or equal to the frequency of the vibration signal is driven to resonate, thereby realizing local haptic feedback. The vibration units have different inherent frequencies, so the actuator may be controlled to sequentially generate vibration signals with different frequencies to realize local control and switching of the vibrations of the multiple vibration units to obtain different haptic perceptual signals. The present disclosure reduces the size of a touch feedback module and makes a touch feedback device more portable and intelligent.

A keyboard device includes a substrate, a touch panel module, a cover plate, a cover layer, an elastic layer, and an adhesive layer. The touch panel module is disposed on a top surface of the substrate and includes a circuit board. The cover plate covers the top surface and includes an avoidance hole defined through an upper surface and a lower surface of the cover plate. The cover layer covers the upper surface and includes a through hole. The through hole corresponds to the avoidance hole. The elastic layer is in the through hole and includes a peripheral portion. The peripheral portion is seamlessly connected to a hole edge of the through hole. The adhesive layer is adhered between a first inner surface of the cover layer and the upper surface and adhered between a second inner surface of the elastic layer and the circuit board.

Systems and methods for extending a keyboard to a surrounding surface using a wearable extended reality appliance

Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer readable media for virtually extending a physical keyboard are disclosed. In one implementation, a non-transitory computer readable medium contains instructions that cause a processor to: receive image data representing a keyboard placed on a surface from an image sensor associated with a wearable extended reality appliance; determine that the keyboard is paired with the wearable extended reality appliance; receive an input for causing a display of a virtual controller with the keyboard; display, via the wearable extended reality appliance, the virtual controller in a first location on the surface, with original spatial orientation relative to the keyboard; detect a movement of the keyboard to a different location on the surface; and in response to the detected movement, present the virtual controller in a second location on the surface, with a subsequent spatial orientation relative to the keyboard that corresponds to the original spatial orientation.

SMART KEY CAP WITH TRANSCEIVER

A keyboard system comprises a housing and a key structure having a key body and key cap. The key body includes a transceiver circuit. The key cap includes a key cap transceiver and a memory structure storing a key cap ID data and/or a key function data corresponding to a key function. The transceiver circuit can poll the key cap memory via the key cap transceiver and retrieve the key cap ID data and/or the key function data. The keyboard system can determine a mapping of a location of the key cap on the keyboard by polling it and can generate and transmit a control signal to a host computing device communicatively coupled to the keyboard system based to the key cap ID and/or the key function data.
