STORAGE MANAGEMENT DEVICE AND STORAGE MANAGEMENT METHOD
A storage management device includes one or more memories including a plurality of storage regions associated with target values of performance of data transmission, and one or more processors coupled to the one or more memories and the one or more processors configured to acquire, for each of the plurality of storage regions, a measured value of performance of data transmission, perform, when a first measured value for a first storage region in the plurality of storage regions does not satisfy a first target value associated with the first storage region, selection of a second storage region from selection candidates including one or more storage regions determined from the plurality of storage regions based on differences between each of the target values and each the measured value, and reduce a bandwidth allocated to the selected second storage region.
Inferring the transfer of a physical object associated with a wearable device
Systems, methods and computer program products to perform an operation comprising receiving, by a first wearable device from a second wearable device via wireless data transmissions, an identifier of a first tile connected to a tile interface of the second wearable device, receiving, by the first wearable device from the second wearable device via wireless data transmissions, an identifier of a second tile connected to the tile interface of the second wearable device, and determining, based on a device data structure of the first wearable device storing tile state data for the first and second wearable devices, that the second tile was transferred from the first wearable device to the second wearable device.
CLOUD SERVICE PROVIDING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MANAGING CLOUD SERVICE PROVIDING DEVICE
The present invention relates to a cloud service providing device and a method for managing the cloud service providing device. In one aspect of the present disclosure, there is provided a cloud service providing device comprising: a body, a first connection unit formed in one side of the body, wherein a first storage unit is connectable to the first connection unit, a second connection unit formed in one side of the body, wherein a second storage unit is connectable to the second connection unit, a communication unit for performing communication with a user terminal and a control unit for controlling the communication unit so that the first storage unit and the second storage unit to be synchronized each other and a format processing unit forcibly formatting a storage unit in which a problem occurs when synchronization between the first storage unit and the second storage unit is performed.
DATA RECOVERY WITHIN A MEMORY SUB-SYSTEM
A command to transfer data in a portion of a memory component to a recovery portion of a different memory component is received from a host system, wherein the portion of the memory component is associated with a portion of the memory component that has failed, and the data in the portion of the memory component is recovered and transferred to the recovery portion of the different memory component without moving or processing the data through the host system responsive to receipt of the command.
Method for state based snapshot difference with restart capability
A data management device includes a buffer and a processor. The processor may select an unprocessed full key and generate a buffer entry based on a difference between an entry of a local snapshot specified by the unprocessed full key and an entry of a previous local snapshot specified by the unprocessed full key. The processor may make a first determination that a lookup key entry associated with the unprocessed full key is different than a lookup key entry associated with a processed full key. The process may add the generated buffer entry to the buffer after processing the buffer in response to the first determination.
INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, INFORMATION MANAGEMENT METHOD AND COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM STORING INFORMATION MANAGING PROGRAM FOR INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE
An information processing device includes an information processing part performing an information processing with memory information, a first storage device, a storage device connection part connecting with a second storage device, an operation part, and a control part. The control part, in a case where the second storage device is connected to the storage device connection part, stores the memory information stored in the second storage device in the first storage device and removes the memory information from the second storage device, and, in a case where a releasing operation of the connection between the second storage device and the storage device connection part is performed by using the operation part, stores the memory information stored in the first storage device in the second storage device.
Storage system
A storage system includes a plurality of nodes connected with a network and configured to provide volumes, a plurality of drive units; and a management system. Each of the plurality of drive units consists of a plurality of storage drives and is accessible from one or more of the plurality of nodes without intervention of the other nodes. The management system or one of the plurality of nodes is configured to determine number of storage drives to be included in a new distribution range to distribute data of a first volume based on access frequency to the first volume.
Using a cascade flag to process a copy relationship having a backward cascade copy relationship
Provided are a computer program product, system, and method for using a cascade flag to process a copy relationship having a backward cascade copy relationship. Each of a plurality of copy relationships indicates to copy source data to target data and has a cascade flag. The cascade flag for a forward copy relationship of the copy relationships is set to a first value in response to determining that the source data for the forward copy relationship comprises target data for a backward copy relationship and that a background copy operation specified to copy source data to target data of the backward copy relationship has not completed. The cascade flag for the forward copy relationship is set to a second value in response to determining that the backward copy relationship does not have an uncompleted background copy operation.
Storage system including a plurality of networked storage nodes
A storage system includes a plurality of nodes, each of the nodes including a nonvolatile storage device, and a connection unit directly connected to at least one of the nodes. The connection unit is configured to determine a target node responsive to a write request generated by a host, determine whether or not the target node is busy, output a write command directed to a non-busy node such that data requested by the write request are written in the non-busy node, responsive to determining that the target node is busy, and output a copy command directed to the non-busy node such that the data written in the non-busy node are copied to the target node, after a reference time period has passed since determining that the target node is busy.
Tape library emulation with automatic configuration and data retention
Disk based emulation of tape libraries is provided with features that allow easier management and administration of a backup system and also allow increased flexibility to both archive data on tape at a remote location and also have fast restore access to archived data files. Features include automatic emulation of physical libraries, and the retention and write protection of virtual tapes that correspond to exported physical tapes.
