REGRESSION-BASED CALIBRATION AND SCANNING OF DATA UNITS

Read operations can be performed to read data stored at a data block. Parameters reflective of a separation between a pair of programming distributions associated with the data block can be determined based on the plurality of read operations. A read request to read the data stored at the data block can be received. In response to receiving the read request, a read operation can be performed to read the data stored at the data block based on the parameters that are reflective of the separation between the pair of programming distributions associated with the data block.

Using mirror indicators to indicate whether to mirror tracks in a data set in a primary volume mirrored to a secondary volume

A table includes a mirror indicator for each of a plurality of tracks in at least one data set in the primary volume indicating whether a track is to be mirrored to the secondary volume. In response to a write command of write data for one of the tracks in the primary volume, creating a record set in a cache for the primary volume including write data for the track to transfer to the secondary volume in response to the mirror indicator for the track indicating that the track is to be mirrored. The write data in the record set is transferred from the cache to the secondary volume.

RESTORING MESSAGES TO A MEMORY UTILIZED BY A TOPIC IN A PUBLISH-SUBSCRIBE ENVIRONMENT

The apparatus includes a primary memory device that stores a first set of messages published to the topic and a secondary memory device that stores a second set of messages previously transferred to the secondary memory device. The apparatus further includes a processor configured to monitor utilization of a portion of the primary memory device assigned to the topic and detect that the utilization has dropped below a threshold. In response, the processor is configured to forward a portion of the second set of messages from the secondary memory device to the primary memory device.

Methods, systems, and devices related to a memory system or scheme that includes a first memory device configured for low-energy access operations and a second memory device configured for storing high-density information and operations of the same are described. The memory system may include an array configured for high-density information and may interface with a host via a controller and a cache or another array of a relatively fast memory type. The memory system may support signals communicated according to one or several modulation schemes, including a modulation scheme or schemes that employ two, three, or more voltage levels (e.g., NRZ, PAM4). The memory system may include, e.g., separate channels configured to communicate using different modulation schemes between a host and between memory arrays or memory types within the memory system.

A determination is made by a processing device included in a memory component that an operation to program data to a location in the memory component has failed, the data is programmed to a different location in the memory component by the processing device upon determining the operation has failed, and a notification that the data has been programmed to the different location in the memory component is provided by the processing device to a processing device operatively coupled to the memory component.

INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT

According to an embodiment, an information processing apparatus includes a processing device, a first memory, a second memory, and a controller. The processing device is configured to process first data. The first memory is configured to store at least part of the first data and has an active region supplied with power necessary for holding data. The second memory is configured to store part of the first data. The controller is configured to change number of active regions such that processing information is not more than a threshold. The processing information indicates an amount of processing for moving at least part of second data stored in the first memory to the second memory and for moving at least part of third data stored in the second memory to the first memory, in a certain period for processing the first data having a size larger than active regions.

In response to detecting the failure of a data storage drive, a drive rebuild operation is performed. The drive rebuild operation is performed by periodically i) calculating a target rebuild rate that enables data previously stored on the failed data storage drive to be completely rebuilt on at least one other data storage drive within an expected drive rebuild time window, ii) calculating a new value for at least one drive rebuild parameter based on a value for the drive rebuild parameter corresponding to the target rebuild rate indicated by a static rebuild rate data structure and a current level of host I/O (Input/Output) activity, and iii) rebuilding the data previously stored on the failed data storage drive on the at least one other data storage drive for a predetermined time period with the at least one drive rebuild parameter set to the new value for the drive rebuild parameter.

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a data storage method, an electronic device, and a computer program product. The method includes: determining the number of at least one first storage apparatus of a storage system, each first storage apparatus being persistent and storing a log that includes record entries of to-be-stored data; and writing, if it is determined that the number is greater than a threshold number, the to-be-stored data into a corresponding memory table from the log where the to-be-stored data is located, wherein data in the memory table will be written to a second storage apparatus of the storage system. In this way, the storage efficiency of the storage system can be improved.

Performance improvements in a storage system

Systems, methods, and computer readable storage mediums for optimizing performance in a storage system. A volume may be mapped to an anchor medium through an indirection layer. When a snapshot is taken of the volume, the allocation of a new anchor medium is delayed until a write operation targeting the volume is received. When a write operation targeting the volume is received, a new anchor medium may be allocated for only a portion of the volume corresponding to the portion of the volume which is targeted by the write operation. Also, when a snapshot is taken of the volume, read optimization operations are performed only the portions of the volume which have changed since the previous snapshot.
