MULTILAYER FABRIC WITH SELECTIVE RADIATION FILTER
A multilayer fabric for selectively blocking or transmitting particular wavelengths in the electromagnetic spectrum, such solar radiation, and far infrared (FIR) radiation. The multilayer fabric may include a microporous water vapor permeable layer that selectively filters particular wavelengths depending on the size of its pores. In some embodiments, the multilayer fabric may include a nanostructured layer that selectively filters particular wavelengths.
Versatile ear cover apparatus
A cover apparatus adapted to cover at least a portion of an ear for protection from the elements, artificial heat sources, and the like, is provided. Such a cover is produced in uniform structure such that any properly sized implement may be affixed to either a left or right ear. Additionally, the manner of affixing is provided through the provision of the ear cover exhibiting sufficient elasticity for pressure fitting around a subject ear auricle and lobe simultaneously, with lower levels of elasticity exhibited by the middle portion thereof extending between the top and bottom portions. Such a cover thus compresses for proper fitting around the auricle and lobe and does not provide excess pressure in the middle portion, thereby allowing for greater comfort and control to the wearer and leaves a least part of the wearer's ear canal exposed and uncovered to facilitate hearing while affixed.
SUN PROTECTIVE GARMENTS
A sun protective garment that includes a garment front that is an ultraviolet protective (UVP) fabric having a channel and a cord that extends through the channel is described. The cord secures the garment around a user's neck such that the garment front drapes over a user's chest. By arranging the garment front of the sun protective garment on the user, it protects against ultraviolet (UV) damage to the user's chest area when the user is exposed to sunlight.
Skin protecting garment
A skin protecting garment includes a back panel, a lower front panel coupled to the back panel, and an upper front panel coupled to the back panel. An upward facing opening is formed by the back panel and the upper front panel. The upward facing opening is dimensioned, shaped and positioned to expose a top of a user's head. A forward facing slit is between the lower front panel and the upper front panel. The forward facing slit is dimensioned, shaped and positioned to expose the user's eyes. The back panel, the lower front panel and the upper front panel are each formed of a material configured to block ultraviolet (UV) light.
Multispectral cooling fabric
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate generally to a base fabric for body gear and other goods having designed performance characteristics, and in particular to technical gear, such as garments, that utilize multispectral cooling elements coupled to the exterior facing surface of a base fabric.
LIFE JACKET WITH INTEGRATED SLEEVES
A life jacket vest including a life jacket member having a pair of arm openings and a lining having a pair of sleeve members and a perimeter. The lining is positioned in mating relationship with at least a portion of the life jacket member and is attached along at least a portion of the perimeter of the life jacket member. The sleeve members are received and extend through the openings of the life jacket member and are not attached to the life jacket member. The life jacket member may include a fastener member and a size adjustment member. The lining may include a neck portion and a collar portion. By attaching the lining to the life jacket member in places other than the arm openings, the present life jacket vest allows for a greater range of motion and less constraints in the arm openings of the life jacket member.
Bra having arm support
An undergarment such as a bra has very sheer sleeves such that the sleeves are virtually invisible. The sheer sleeves are also elasticized, for example, made of nylon and spandex, to provide compressive support to the wearer's arms. The sheer sleeves may have a color that matches one of several different skin tones.
Electromagnetic radiation shielding in garments
A method of producing a garment having at least one electromagnetic radiation shielded zone and a corresponding garment are disclosed.
Radiation protection device and methods thereof
A radiation protection device for providing protection of a body part that includes active bone marrow from ionizing radiation may include a radiation protection component configured to be placed adjacent to and externally cover the body part so as to reduce a radiation dose absorbed in that body part.
