An image processing service system includes an operation request accepting unit, a setting accepting unit, a payment control unit, and an operation execution control unit. The operation request accepting unit accepts an operation request for an image processing apparatus through a chat between a user and a chatbot participating in a chat service on a chat board provided by the service. The setting accepting unit accepts a setting for an operation of the image processing apparatus requested by the operation request. The payment control unit makes a payment for the operation of the image processing apparatus requested by the operation request through an electronic payment system available on the chat service. The operation execution control unit controls the image processing apparatus to execute the operation requested by the operation request after the setting is accepted by the setting accepting unit and the payment is made by the payment control unit.

A terminal device may execute a first attempt process in which the terminal device attempts to communicate with a server on the Internet via a communication interface by using a specific LAN to which the terminal device is currently connected; and in a case where the attempt to communicate with the server is successful in the first attempt process, send connection information to a communication device different from the terminal device, the connection information being for connecting the communication device to the specific LAN, wherein in a case where a specific condition is fulfilled, the connection information is not sent to the communication device, the specific condition including a condition that the attempt to communicate with the server fails in the first attempt process.

In a system in which communication between an information processing apparatus and a printing apparatus is possible, the information processing apparatus detects that communication with the printing apparatus has become possible and, in response to detection that such communication has become possible, generates print data based upon data that the information processing apparatus is displaying on a display unit connected to or built in the information processing apparatus, and transfers the generated print data to the printing apparatus. In a communication system, an image forming apparatus sends an address of a receiving section to an external device. The external device receives a selection of image data through plural thumbnails displayed on a display section, and wirelessly sends the selected image data to the image forming apparatus with the address. The image forming apparatus receives the selected image data sent with the address by the external device, and prints an image based on the selected image data. The image forming apparatus accepts a selection indicating whether a communication between the external device and the image forming apparatus is performed by a first communication system method or a second communication system method. The image forming apparatus performs sending and/or receiving the image data with the address by the first communication system method when the first communication system method is selected, and performs sending and/or receiving the image data with the address by the second communication system method when the second communication system method is selected.

A drawing unit configured to draw a print target content is instructed to draw a content and a predetermined element. Based on a notification from the drawing unit, which corresponds to the drawing instruction and has been made regardless of completion of drawing to the instruction, drawn data is acquired from the drawing unit. If the acquired data includes the predetermined element, a print apparatus is caused to execute printing based on the acquired data. If the acquired data includes no predetermined element, data is acquired from the drawing unit again without causing the print apparatus to execute printing based on the acquired data.

Information apparatus and application software supporting printing over air or network are herein disclosed and enabled. The information apparatus may include one or more software components that include (1) a discovery component to discover a supported printer in a local area network (LAN) and to receive device information related to the printer (e.g., capability, language or format supported, identification) from the printer, and (2) a printing component to generate or obtain print data based on the device information received and to transmit the print data to the discovered printer. After establishing the connection to the LAN, application software (e.g., Internet browser, email, photos, documents) in the information apparatus may print digital content by using the discovery component to discover the printer in the LAN, and may use the printing component to obtain and transmit print data in a form that is acceptable to the printer for printing the digital content.

A terminal device may obtain a public key and target identification information from a communication device, search for the communication device via a wireless interface of the terminal device, based on the target identification information and a result of the search for the communication device, determine whether the communication device is to establish a wireless connection with an external device or with the terminal device, in a case where it is determined that the communication device is to establish the wireless connection with the external device, send first connection information to the communication device, in a case where it is determined that the communication device is to establish the wireless connection with the terminal device, send second connection information different from the first connection information to the communication device, establish the wireless connection with the communication device via the wireless interface by using the second connection information.

An image forming apparatus that is capable of wireless communication with an operation device and that can be operated by the operation device via the wireless communication, the image forming apparatus comprising: an image forming unit configured to perform image formation on a sheet based on a print execution instruction sent from the operation device via the wireless communication; a reading unit configured to perform reading of an image formed on the sheet based on a scan execution instruction sent from the operation device via the wireless communication; and a controller that, during a period of time from the time one user logs in the image forming apparatus until the user logs out, (1) is configured to prohibit the print execution instruction using an operation device by other user who has logged in using the operation device, and (2) is configured to permit the scan execution instruction using the operation device.

The illustrative embodiments described herein provide systems and methods for notifying a user when a set of characters are identified in a media file. In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a set of characters inputted by the user of a computing device, playing the media file, transcribing the media file to form a transcription, and determining whether the transcription of the media file includes the set of characters. The method also includes initiating a notification prompt on a graphical user interface of the computing device in response to determining that the media file includes the set of characters.
