Drive control method and apparatus, and display device
Disclosed are a drive control method and apparatus and a display device. The drive control method may be applied to a controller, and include: adding at least one configuration instruction into a target region of one row of data to obtain a target row of data, wherein the configuration instruction is intended for self-configuration of a drive parameter by a first driver chip, and the target region includes at least one of a blank region and a region where display data is located; and sending the target row of data to the first driver chip.
SYSTEM AND METHOD TO PROVIDE A SINGLE DEVICE TYPE IN CUSTOMIZED PRODUCTS
A device including first firmware of a first type and second firmware of a second type different from the first type. The first firmware configures the device to be installed into a first information handling system associated with the first type. The second firmware configures the device to be installed into a second information handling system associated with the second type. The device is configured to receive a firmware commit command that command includes either a first indication to commit the first firmware, or a second indication to commit the second firmware, but not both indications. The device further determines that the firmware commit command includes the first indication and locks the device to use the first firmware and not the second firmware, and determines that the firmware commit command includes the second indication and locks the device to use the second firmware and not the first firmware.
Peripheral component interconnect (PCI) hosting device
Methods and systems are disclosed to aggregate traffic from multiple server devices through a peripheral component interconnect (PCI) hosting device. In one embodiment, the PCI hosting device comprises a network interface to couple the PCI hosting device to a network, a plurality of PCI interfaces, a processing circuit to forward packets, and a power supply to supply power to the PCI interfaces independently from the plurality of server devices. Each of the PCI interfaces is designed to be coupled to one server device to the PCI hosting device, which is registered as a first PCI board of a first server device through a first PCI interface and as a second PCI board of a second server device through a second PCI interface, and the PCI hosting device is designed to forward packets between the network interface and the first server device, and the network interface and the second server device.
System and method for converting input from alternate input devices
An apparatus for delivering alternate user input between an alternate input device and an output device, the output device configured to receive input from a conventional input device, the output device not configured to receive input from the alternate input device, the apparatus including an input interconversion processor that receives the alternate user input from the alternate input device, a processing pipeline that converts the alternate user input to a conventional user input of a type normally received by the output device from the conventional input device, and an output port that transmits the conventional user input.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF CONFIGURING NON-VOLATILE MEMORY MEDIA
In one or more embodiments, one or more systems, one or more methods, and/or one or more processes may boot an operating system; after booting the operating system, determine that a solid state drive has been hot added to a Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIe) port; suppress discovery of the solid state drive by the operating system; determine a policy associated with the solid state drive; determine that a current configuration associated with the solid state drive does not match a configuration associated with the policy associated with the solid state drive; determine that the configuration associated with the policy can be applied to the solid state drive; apply the configuration associated with the policy to the solid state drive without utilizing the operating system; and inform the operating system that the solid state drive has been communicatively coupled to at least one processor via a PCIe root complex.
SMART EDGE PLATFORM FOR EDGE DEVICES AND ASSOCIATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Smart sensors, platforms for smart sensors, and associated systems and methods, are disclosed herein. In some implementations, the platform includes hardware interfaces that are abstracted and/or standardized as defined by various common group types. The abstracted interfaces allow numerous different sensors to be connected and integrated into the smart sensor as desired for a specific application. Further, the platform can reuse a standardized software backbone as a sensor platform as sensors are varied, as well as across multiple smart sensors. In some implementations, the standardized sensor platform can include an on-board resident user interface (RUI) with an internet-accessible portal, allowing users to connect to the RUI on the sensor platform through any network accessible device. The platform can also include an artificial intelligence and/or machine learning engine to turn raw sensor data into real-time automation and inspection information within the sensor within the local environment.
System and method for distributing user interface device configurations
A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a system having a controller to collect a plurality of User Interface (UI) device configurations, receive a request from a computing device to download one or more of the plurality of UI device configurations, and transmit to the computing device the one or more UI device configurations requested to configure one or more UI devices of the computing device. An information processing apparatus that is capable of reducing deterioration of usability resulting from booting in a boot mode that is different from a boot mode of the last boot time. The information processing apparatus includes a memory, a storage unit that stores a swap file used as a substituted storage area of the memory, and at least one processor that executes instructions stored in the memory to set either of a first boot mode that preferentially secures an area storing a temporary file in the storage unit and a second boot mode that preferentially secures an area storing the swap file in the storage unit, and adjust a size of the swap file depending on a boot mode set.

A method for selective performing a validation in one or more technical operations by a cloud based validation framework is provided. The method includes identifying a job task to be performed, identifying technical operations associated with the job task; receiving user configurable input data for performing validation on at least one technical operation associated with the job task; and submitting the user configurable input data into the cloud network based validation framework. The method further includes determining, by the cloud network based validation framework, at least one technical operation specified for performing a validation function among the technical operations; generating a dictionary file for the at least one technical operation specified for performing the validation function; and performing the validation function specified by the dictionary file.
