An access system for providing passenger access to rolling stock at a designated stopping station, comprising: a dedicated zone for receiving the passenger, the dedicated zone being elevated above a ground surface; a ramp mounted within the dedicated zone and actuable to project from the dedicated zone in both a lateral and a vertical manner to bridge a gap between the dedicated zone and the rolling stock to facilitate access of the passenger to the rolling stock.

The invention relates to a platform lift for accessibility for people in a wheelchair, said lift comprising a device for lifting the platform, comprising two cross-members (1) acting as a guiding rail and secured to the staircase; including two carriages (2) to which a platform (3) is secured, the lifting of the platform (3) being carried out by two electric motors provided with a mechanical reducer (4) and secured to the outside of the two cross-members (1); the shafts of the motors being provided with a truncated pinion (5) on each end, driving another truncated pinion united with an endless screw (6).

The second member may be moveable with respect to the first member between a first position and a second position. A lifting link assembly may be rotatably coupled to each of the base and the second member. A platform mount may be coupled to the second member. The platform mount may be rotatable about a platform pivot with respect to the second member. The lifting link assembly may rotate relative to the first member, the second member, and the base as the second member moves relative to the first member. A safety belt system for paratransit lifts uses a front lift strap and a rear lift strap. The front lift strap and the rear lift strap are safety belts that can be connected in front of and behind a wheelchair that is mounted onto a lift platform of a paratransit lift. The front lift strap and the rear lift strap are identical, and each has a pair of length-adjustable webbings, a quick-release buckle, and a pair of lift-connection mechanisms. The quick-release buckle is connected in between the pair of length-adjustable webbings so that the two length-adjustable webbings are terminally connected to each other. Each lift-connection mechanism is terminally connected to a length-adjustable webbing, opposite to the quick-release buckle. As a result, the length-adjustable webbings can be connected to each other and then connected to the paratransit lift.

A portable lift device that includes a portable lift column assembly having a lift column including a first end, a second end, and a length there between. The second end of the lift column has at least one column attachment system. The lift column assembly further includes a riser assembly coupled to the lift column and movable with respect to the lift column. The riser assembly includes a riser attachment device. The portable lift device also includes a platform assembly movable with the riser assembly and having a platform structure coupled to at least one platform attachment system. The at least one platform attachment-system selectively engages the riser attachment device to detachably couple the platform assembly with the riser assembly and wherein the platform structure maintains structural integrity under a predetermined load capacity. The platform assembly is movable with the riser assembly.

A wheelchair lift (1) includes a platform assembly (10) to receive a wheelchair, the platform assembly (10) being made from aluminum, a supporting assembly (20) to moveably hold the platform assembly (10), the supporting assembly (20) being made from aluminum, and a coupling device (30) to pivotably couple the platform assembly (10) to the supporting assembly (20), the coupling device (30) being made from one of steel or high strength aluminum or titanium or magnesium or combinations thereof. The present invention is a mobile hyperbaric unit including a vehicle having a vehicle chassis with a front cabin and a rear bed. A partition can extend upwardly from the rear bed at a position next to the cabin. A pod can be removably attachable to the vehicle chassis, the pod having top wall, left and right side walls, a front wall, a rear wall, and a bottom wall that is sized and shaped to occupy and rest upon the rear bed. A detachable connection can enable attachment or detachment of the pod from the vehicle chassis, the connection can be connected to the pod at the bottom wall. The partition can have a portion that extends at least partially over the pod top wall. A pod chassis enables the pod to be transported independently of the vehicle chassis, the pod chassis can have a lift that enables elevation of the pod between lower and upper positions. A control station that has ambient pressure can be located in between the partition and the pod. A desired pressure that is not ambient pressure can be maintained within said pod interior by means on the vehicle.
