20230195800 · 2023-06-22 ·

A control application facilitates interactions with, and configurations of, the information management system that manages one or more client computing devices of an information management system. The control application may be implemented using a variety of modules that allow a user to interact with the information management system services in various ways. Using the control application, a user may view a backup status of the information management system, and view the backup status of specific client computing devices that are managed by the information management system. The user may also search for various entities and/or objects within the information management system using the control application. In addition, a user may view the status of one or more backup jobs configured within the information management system, as well as backup plans that have been established for one or more of the client computing devices.

DYNAMIC TOGGLE OF FEATURES FOR ENTERPRISE RESOURCES
20220383257 · 2022-12-01 ·

A system, method and program product for handling potentially problematic events in an enterprise computing platform. A method is disclosed that includes: determining whether a received event includes a feature driven folder processing event; in response to a determination that the event is not a feature driven folder processing event, process the event and determine whether a file count for a folder is impacted; in response to the file count being impacted, evaluate the file count relative to a set of processing thresholds to determine which feature driven folder processing events are enabled for the folder, and to update associated metadata for the folder; and in response to a determination that the event is a feature driven folder processing event, using the computing device to check the metadata for an associated folder to determine whether a requested feature is enabled.

System and method for dynamic time-based user interface

System and method for facilitating management of a time-varying resource pool. The system includes a processor and a memory coupled to the processor. The memory stores processor-executable instructions that, when executed, configure the processor to: obtain a time-series data set including data entries associated with one or more consumed resources; identify one or more recurring resource allocations based on recurring data entries of the time-series data set; identify additional resource allocations based on irregularly-timed data entries of the time-series data set; determine a forecasted resource pool value based on a combination of the identified recurring resource allocations and the additional resource allocations; and upon detection of a trigger condition, generate data for display, via a user interface, a scaled resource allocation value based on the forecasted resource pool value, the scaled resource allocation value corresponding to at least one time-based reference.

Log-based status modeling and problem diagnosis for distributed applications

Techniques include collecting current logs from distributed sources, selecting a group of the current logs that are from a related source of the distributed sources, and generating a feature vector using the group of the current logs. A current status model is created for the feature vector using the group of the current logs. One or more anomalies are determined in the group of the current logs based on a difference between the current status model and a reference status model, the reference status model being based on history logs.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING ERROR INFORMATION USING GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACE

Provided is a device for providing error information using a graphical user interface (GUI) includes: a communication circuit configured to communicate with a server that provides a web application; a display; a memory; and a processor. The processor is configured to: receive user information, request information, and response information of each user; to display user objects, respectively on the display so that a user related to an error of the web application is distinguished based on the user information and the response information; to display action objects on the display so that an action related to the error is distinguished based on the request information and the response information, if one of the user objects is selected; and to output error information related to the selected action object to the display based on the request information and the response information if one of the action objects is selected.

Application state prediction using component state

Described systems and techniques enable prediction of a state of an application at a future time, with high levels of accuracy and specificity. Accordingly, operators may be provided with sufficient warning to avert poor user experiences. Unsupervised machine learning techniques may be used to characterize current states of applications and underlying components in a standardized manner. The resulting data effectively provides labelled training data that may then be used by supervised machine learning algorithms to build state prediction models. Resulting state prediction models may then be deployed and used to predict an application state of an application at a specified future time.

HEALTH INDEX OF A SERVICE

According to implementations of the subject matter described herein, there is provided a solution of providing a health index of a service. In this solution, a plurality of incident information sets associated with a plurality of services are obtained. The plurality of services are provisioned in a computing environment. An incident information set indicates at least one incident reported during operation of a service. Respective health indices are determined for the plurality of services based on respective ones of the plurality of incident information sets and a health classification policy. The respective health indices indicate respective health statuses of the plurality of services and being determined from a same health index range. Through unified use of incident information, the determined health indices can indicate universal and consistent health statuses for different services.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR IMPLEMENTING AND USING A PROXIMITY DASHBOARD
20220366773 · 2022-11-17 ·

In various embodiments, an electronic device includes an electrical and physical interface operable to be coupled to a port of a computer system that includes a processor. The electronic device also includes a casing housing the interface. In addition, the electronic device includes a circuit board including circuitry housed within the casing. The circuitry receives control signals from the computer system over the interface and controls an illumination element. The illumination element is disposed on the casing and is operable to produce a color that corresponds to a real-time status associated with the computer system. The real-time status is determined by the processor and information read by the processor from the computer system. Moreover, the electronic device includes a beacon technology system housed within the casing. The beacon technology system is operable to communicate with a beacon technology system externally located to the electronic device. The beacon technology system is operable to trigger an automatic process when detected.

A performance information visualization apparatus includes a memory and a processor. The memory configured to stores, as node information, information that indicates a connection relationship of a node, and information that indicates a generation in which the node is added to an information processing system and a generation in which the node is deleted from the information processing system. The processor configured to that synthesizes configuration information by, when an event occurrence node where an event has occurred does not exist in configuration information of a specific generation associated with a time when the event has occurred and the event occurrence node is added to the configuration information, adding a node and connection between nodes including a connection relationship of the event occurrence node, based on the node information.

INDICATING AN APPLICATION STATUS BASED ON A DEVICE STATE

Apparatuses, systems, methods, and program products are disclosed for indicating an application status based on a device state. An application module determines one or more device resources of a device that an application uses while executing on the device. A device module determines a performance state of each of one or more device resources of a device. An indicator module provides a visual indication of a potential execution level of an application on a display of a device. The potential execution level describes a projected level of functionality of an application as a function of a performance state of one or more device resources of the device.
