Systems, methods, and devices can include a first die comprising a first arbitration and multiplexing logic, a first protocol stack associated with a first interconnect protocol, and a second protocol stack associated with a second interconnect protocol. A second die comprising a second arbitration and multiplexing logic. A multilane link connects the first die to the second die. The second arbitration and multiplexing logic can send a request to the first arbitration and multiplexing logic to change a first virtual link state associated with the first protocol stack. The first arbitration and multiplexing logic can receive, from across the multilane link, the request from the first die indicating a request to change the first virtual link state; determine that the first interconnect protocol is ready to change a physical link state; and change the first virtual link state according to the received request while maintaining a second virtual link state.

With implementations of the present invention, correct and reliable centralized management of local security inspection devices from the remote control site can be achieved with less signal lines and simpler layout of the lines.

The packing unit is coupled to the compression unit and is for packing the compressed signal to produce a packed signal. The debug unit is coupled to the packing unit and is for converting the compressed and packed signal to a diagnostic message. The disclosed data processing system and method provides diagnostic messages in near real-time.

The security module includes an identifier table and a receiver controller. The security module is configured to receive an incoming CAN message, retrieve an identifier from the incoming CAN message, search the identifier table for the identifier and to alter the incoming message based on a result of the search.

The serial communications interface may comprise a multidrop bus, and the parallel communications interface may comprise a cross switch.

COMPUTER-IMPLEMENTED METHOD FOR SIMULATING A RESTBUS CONTROL UNIT NETWORK

A computer-implemented method for simulating a restbus control unit network that includes at least two restbus control units connected through a bus system. The restbus control unit network is connected to at least one additional control unit through the bus system. The communication relationships of the restbus control units are described, program code for simulating the restbus control units is generated based on the communication relationships. The restbus control unit network is simulated on a simulation computer via an executable version of the program code. Simplified and flexible simulation of the restbus control unit network is made possible in that a single, joint restbus control unit model is generated for the restbus control units as program code for simulating the restbus control units.
