The communication unit is operably connected to a motor. The motor includes an axle connected to a rotor. The retractable friction roller is mounted on the axle. The roller is placed in contact with a wheel of a manual wheelchair. The engagement unit is attached to the manual wheelchair to detachably attach the friction roller and the wheel. The power source is operably connected to the motor and the joystick.
MOVING DEVICE
A moving device is disclosed. The moving device includes a vehicle body, a prime mover, mounted on the vehicle body, a driving rotary body and a driven rotary body. The driving rotary body is configured to be driven by the prime mover. The driven rotary body is rotatably mounted on the vehicle body. The driven rotary body has a larger diameter than that of the driving rotary body. The driven rotary body is configured to rotate by contact with the driving rotary body in a rotational direction or by magnetic coupling force of the driving rotary body.
Mobile Chair Apparatus Comprising Foot Pedals
A mobile chair apparatus is described that comprises a drive assembly that preferably includes one or more moveable foot pedals, and drive wheels which rotate in response to rotation of the foot pedals by the mobile chair occupant, and a steering assembly which comprises two steering wheels and at least one tiller, configured such that forward and backward movement of said tiller will translate into movement of both steering wheels, wherein the drive assembly and the steering assembly concurrently enable the mobile chair occupant to propel and steer the mobile chair apparatus without assistance from another person.
Wheelchair Footrest
The present invention relates to a wheelchair footrest 1, comprising a continuous foot support 10 or two separate foot supports 10 for supporting the feet of a user; and at least one lighting means 20; wherein said lighting means 20 is fixedly arranged on at least one of said foot supports 10 to illuminate at least a floor area 40 on a front side 102 of said wheelchair 100; and the lighting means 20 comprises an LED strip which is fixedly arranged on the underside 12 of the at least one foot support 10, and wherein the LED strip has a length BL which extends over at least 50% of the width B of the at least one foot support 10. The present invention relates also to a wheelchair 100 comprising a corresponding wheelchair footrest 1.
Reciprocating Drive Motion Wheelchair
A reciprocating drive motion wheelchair is provided. The wheelchair device includes a low-profile wheelchair that utilizes push bars pivotally connected to the wheelchair frame and operably connected to a crank bar, which run parallel to the ground and connects back to a crank on each wheel. An additional pair of wheels is disposed rearward of the drive wheels and prevents the wheelchair from tipping, thus allowing the user to utilize the push bars to move the wheelchair quickly and easily.
BACKSTOP AND GEAR-SHIFT ARRANGEMENT FOR A WHEELCHAIR WHEEL
A wheel assembly comprising a wheelchair wheel (5) and a backstop arrangement (10; 30; 70) configured to selectively engage and disengage a backstop function and comprising a backstop selector (15; 35; 75) and a backstop member (18; 38; 78), wherein the wheel (5) comprises an internal-gear wheel hub (11; 31; 71) comprising a number of internal gears (57, 58) and having an inner rotatable circumferential surface (13; 33; 73), and wherein the backstop member is configured to allow the inner circumferential surface to rotate in one direction and to prevent rotation in the opposite direction. The wheel assembly comprises further a gear-shift arrangement comprising a shift member (54), which is axially moveable within the internal-gear hub (31) to engage a specific gear of said number of internal gears (57, 58), and wherein the shift member (54) via a connector member (55) is operatively connected to the backstop selector.
