Systems, devices, apparatuses, components, methods, and techniques for cadence and media content phase alignment are provided. An example media-playback device includes a content output device that operates to output media content, a cadence-acquiring device, a phase-delay calibration engine, a cadence-based media content selection engine, and a phase-aligned media playback engine. The cadence-acquiring device includes a movement-determining device and a cadence-determination engine configured to determine a cadence based on movement data captured by the movement-determining device. The phase-delay calibration engine configured to determine phase delay values for at least one cadence value. The cadence-based media content selection engine configured to identify a media content item based on the cadence determined by the cadence-acquiring device. The phase-aligned media playback engine configured to align the identified media content item to the repetitive-motion activity and cause the media-output device to output the aligned media content item.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR PROCESSING AUDIO SIGNALS CONTAINING SPEECH DATA
20200286490 · 2020-09-10 ·

Methods and systems for processing audio signals containing speech data are disclosed. Biometric data associated with at least one speaker are extracted from an audio input. A match is determined between the extracted biometric data and stored biometric data associated with a consenting user profile, where a consenting user profile is a user profile associated with a record indicating consent to store biometric data. If a match is determined to exist with such a profile, the speech data is stored in an archive after processing. If no such match is determined, or if the extracted biometric data includes data from a speaker not having a consenting user profile, the speech data is discarded, optionally after having been processed. The system and method provides a safeguard against transferring to storage data of users, particularly minors or children, for whom a verified and valid consent has not been obtained from an authorised adult.

Method and system for dynamic playlist generation

A system and method for generating a personalized playlist is provided. A plurality of media tracks from a user device of a user is received. The plurality of media tracks is analyzed for metadata and the metadata is assigned to the media tracks in the plurality of media tracks. One or more user attributes of the user is generated. The one or more user attributes includes a first time period when the user is between 20 and 30 years old. The metadata of the media tracks is compared to the one or more user attributes. The metadata includes metadata for relevant dates of media tracks. The relevant dates include a date of performance of the media tracks and are compared to the first time period. A target mood for generating a playlist is generated. A playlist is generated based on the target mood and based on the comparison of the metadata to the one or more attributes.

[Object] To provide a novel and improved information processing apparatus, information processing system, information processing method, and program capable of presenting a user with a similar emotion in response to music to a certain user. [Solution] The information processing apparatus includes: an information acquisition unit that acquires user information related to a first user; and a presentation information output unit that outputs the user information to a presentation unit that presents the user information such that a second user is able to recognize the user information. Emotion information of the first user regarding a part of first music data and emotion information of the second user regarding a part of second music data are related to each other.

[Object] To provide a novel and improved information processing apparatus, an information processing method, and a program capable of displaying preference information that reflects user's emotion to music. [Solution] The information processing apparatus includes a preference information output unit that outputs preference information, which has been generated on a basis of emotion information of a user in response to moods included in a musical piece, of the user to that displays the preference information. Accordingly, it is possible to display preference information that reflects user's emotion to music.

Methods and systems for determining and/or using an audio filter based on head-tracking data

Disclosed is a method for determining an audio filter. The method includes obtaining head-tracking data representing a head pose, also referred to as a head position, relative to a torso pose of an intended subject, and selecting a representation of a Head Related Transfer Function, HRTF, from a HRTF database, based on the head-tracking data and information representative of the position and/or direction of a sound source. The method also includes determining the audio filter based on the selected HRTF representation.

System and a processing method for customizing audio experience

The present disclosure relates to a system and a processing method in association with the system for customizing audio experience. Customization of audio experience can be based on derivation of at least one customized audio response characteristic which can be applied to an audio device used by a person. The customized audio response characteristic(s) can be unique to the person.

Personalization of auditory stimulus

Technology presented herein increases a user's enjoyment of sound by personalizing an audio signal so that the user perceives the audio signal as if the user had ideal hearing and/or desired hearing. In one embodiment, headphones on a user's head include a sensor and a speaker. While the speaker plays an audio signal to the user, the sensor records the user's response to the audio signal. The sensor can be a microphone, a brainwave sensor, an EEG sensor, etc. The user's response can be the audio response inside the user's ear, the brainwave response associated with the user, electrical skin response associated with the user, etc. Based on the measured response, and based on the knowledge of how other people perceive sound, the audio signal is modified to compensate for the difference between the user's hearing and the ideal hearing and/or desired hearing, therefore increasing the user's enjoyment of sound.

System for Managing Transitions Between Media Content Items

A system for playing media content items operates to provide smooth transitions between the media content items to continuously support a user's repetitive motion activity. The system can generate crossfade data containing information for transitions between media content items. The mix-in and mix-out points for the transitions are calculated to eliminate one or more portions of media content items that have lower musical energy than a majority portion of the items, and to maintain substantially consistent and/or stable musical energy (e.g., audio power or sound power) throughout the media content items including transitions therebetween.
