Mobility assistance device
A mobility assistance apparatus includes first and second frames positioned on left and right sides of a user; a hinge arm mechanism coupled to the first and second frames; and a harness or a walking seat coupled to the frames to transfer at least a portion of the user's body weight from the legs and to transfer weight through the user's hip or pelvis to the first and second frame enabling the user to stand and walk or work for an extended period without requiring the user's arms to hold the frame.
Rotatable swing arm stabilizer assembly for folding wheelchairs
A swing arm assembly for a foldable wheelchair consisting of a camber tube and adapters is disclosed. The adapters mount to the frame of the wheelchair and receive the ends of the camber tube. One end of the camber tube is pinned into an adapter such that it pivots. The other end is pinned in an adapter using a quick release pin. The camber tube improves the stability of the foldable wheelchair. When desired to fold the wheelchair, the quick release pin is removed and the camber tube is rotated approximately 90 degrees, thereby allowing the wheelchair to fold. The adapters may be mounted to the wheelchair frame or to stub axles if used. The swing arm assembly adds substantial stiffness and stability to a folding wheelchair.
Chair-drive interface assembly, wheelchair and/or drive
A chair-drive interface assembly is for use with a wheelchair assembly having a first chair-connection member and a second chair-connection member, and also for use with a drive assembly including a wheel assembly, a motor assembly, a drive-connection member and a steering assembly. The chair-drive interface assembly has a first connection member configured to be fixedly attached to the first chair-connection member. The chair-drive interface assembly also has a second connection member configured to be fixedly attached to the second chair-connection member. The second connection member is spaced apart from the first connection member. The chair-drive interface assembly also has a third connection member configured to be fixedly attached to the drive-connection member of the drive assembly.
FOLDABLE AIRPLANE COLLAPSIBLE ROCKING CHAIR
A collapsible chair in the shape of an aircraft or other object. The chair comprises a plurality of body elements and hinges that connect one or more of the body elements to one another. The chair is designed to lock in both a folded and deployed configuration. The transitioning from a folded to a deployed configuration and from a deployed back to a folded configuration comprises rotating one or more body elements around two different axes.
Foldable wheelchair frame including a self locking device
A foldable wheelchair frame includes two side frame components, respectively a left and a right side frame components, each mounting front and rear wheels. The side frame components being connected together for relative folding movement between an erected position and a folded position by a foldable link extending between the two side frame components. The foldable link includes at least one central strut disposed between the two side frame components and connected to each side frame component by at least two connecting arms. First left and a second left connecting arms are connected to the left side frame component, and first right and second right connecting arms are connected to the right side frame component. Each of the connecting arms being pivotally connected at one end to one of the side frames and at one other end to the central strut such that the side frame components move closer to each other and the central strut moves along a longitudinal direction when the wheelchair frame moves from its erected position to its folded position. The central strut has at least one locking element that defines at least one left abutment (26a), respectively one right abutment, against which abuts a left locking pin (27a), respectively a right locking pin, protruding from the lower or upper face of one of the first left and the second left, respectively the first right and the second right, connecting arms in a vertical direction, when the wheelchair is in its erected position.

Adjustable wheelchair
An adjustable wheelchair is disclosed which adjusts to changes in a user's size and weight which includes a scissor-type foldable mechanism which connects two side frames. Wheels for the wheelchair are attached to each of the side frames. An adjustable seat and adjustable back support are a flexible material which span from one side frame to the other. These are designed to unroll and lengthen or roll up and shorten the width of the seat and the back support between the side frames. The scissor-type foldable mechanism includes a tube which slides within a tube, a threaded rod and a threaded stop which function to allow pre-adjustment of the width of the foldable mechanism such that it may be folded and opened to the pre-adjusted width. The frames may be supplemented with reinforcements to accommodate a change in the user's weight.
