RFID TAG QUANTITY ESTIMATION SYSTEM, RFID TAG QUANTITY ESTIMATION METHOD, AND PROCESSOR-READABLE MEDIUM
This application discloses a tag quantity estimation system and method of RFID. A processor-readable medium was disclosed at the same time. This estimation method applies a spatial diversity gain existing in a multi-antenna system. Separated and sequentially stacked the real parts and the imaginary parts of the multiple signals received by multiple antennas. Then, a tag quantity estimation problem is converted into a data clustering problem in high-dimensional space. In this way, the overlapped cluster data in low-dimensional space can be separated in the high-dimensional space, thereby improving the accuracy of tag quantity estimation.
Indicia reader acoustic for multiple mounting positions
An indicia reader can include an indicia-capturing system, an indicia-decoding module, and an audio indicator system having a sound source. An indicia-reader housing can support these components, and the housing includes two adjacent mounting surfaces and a sound port opening formed within a portion of the common edge of the two adjacent surfaces. The indicia reader can be operatively mounted in at least two different positions by attaching one of the two adjacent surfaces to a support structure. The reader's sound port opening is in acoustic communication with the sound source of the audio indicator for transmitting audible indications emitted via the audio indicator system when the indicia reader is mounted in either of the at least two different mounting positions.

Using antenna reflection coefficients to detect events in a gaming environment
A gaming table includes a network analyzer. The network analyzer detects antenna reflection coefficients faster than RFID tags can be read, enabling game state information to be monitored quickly.
Wireless tag reading apparatus and control method for a wireless tag reading apparatus
In accordance with an embodiment, a wireless tag reading apparatus includes an antenna, first and second power feeding ports, and a controller. The first power feeding port feeds electric power into the antenna so as to emit the first linearly polarized wave from the antenna. The second power feeding port feeds electric power into the antenna so as to emit the second linearly polarized wave from the antenna. The controller sets a ratio of a time of power feeding from the first power feeding port to a time of power feeding from the second power feeding port to take a value according to a ratio of the number of wireless tags existing in the direction of the first linearly polarized wave to the number of wireless tags existing in the direction of the second linearly polarized wave.
WEARABLE RFID SYSTEM
Apparatus and methods are provided for automatically interrogating a tagged object using radio frequency identification (RFID) when the object is moved. In one embodiment, a worker is outfitted with a wearable RFID system including an RF antenna, an RFID reader, and a holder to hold the antenna and reader during operation. The system is worn by the worker while the worker moves objects from one place to another. When the worker moves an object with an attached RFID tag, the antenna automatically begins scanning for signals from the object's RFID tag. When a RF signal is received by the antenna, the RFID reader collects the signal and transmits it to a host system which processes the signal to obtain information related to the object to which the RFID tag is attached.
