Multipurpose RFID transponder and a system for reading it

A magnetic field induction coupled RFID system for scanning and reading at least one object having an RFID tag or inlay label device attached or embedded therein to impart a unique identity to each of the objects. The RFID tag has two distinct modes of air interface protocol operation, such that the tag is capable of being read at close proximity range by a device utilizing a command-and-control protocol, such as an NFC-protocol compatible smartphone or similarly functioning device, and alternatively by an RFID reader utilizing a different protocol capable of supporting efficient high-speed anti-collision features for enabling fast inventorying at item level of retail store items, warehousing, customs and logistics operations over considerably greater interrogation distances, where both protocols utilize substantially the same carrier frequency.

OPERATING METHOD OF ELECTRONIC DEVICE PERFORMING NEAR FIELD COMMUNICATION FUNCTIONS

An electronic device performs near field communication (NFC) functions. An operating method of the electronic device includes detecting an attachment of a first NFC tag which uses a first radio frequency signal type (RF signal type), checking whether to exclude the first NFC tag from a recognition of the NFC device in response to the attachment of the first NFC tag, and when the first NFC tag is excluded from the recognition of the NFC device, setting based on the checking a radio frequency signal type of the electronic device so as not to respond to a radio frequency signal of the first radio frequency signal type.

A terminal device includes a first communication unit that performs a wireless communication with a wireless communication tag of an electronic equipment in accordance with a first communication method, a second communication unit that performs the wireless communication in accordance with a second communication method, and a processing unit. The first communication unit receives an identification information of the electronic equipment from the wireless communication tag and the second communication unit receives a beacon signal including the identification information of the electronic equipment and an identifier of an internal access point. The processing unit establishes the wireless communication with the electronic equipment in accordance with the second communication method using the identifier specified based on a collation process between the identification information received by the first communication unit and the identification information included in the beacon signal.

Systems and methods for determining RF cabling configuration

Systems and methods for determining radio frequency (RF) cabling configuration are provided. The systems include a central controller that includes two or more antenna ports that are coupled to corresponding antennas via respective RF cables. In embodiments, the central controller executes a calibration interrogation cycle to detect a misconfiguration of an RF cable that couples an antenna port of the central controller to an antenna port of a detector station that includes an antenna under test. While the central controller executes the calibration interrogation cycle, a RF sensor is disposed in a signal range of the antenna under test. The systems detect indications provided by the RF sensor to identify a misconfiguration of the RF cabling and provide guidance on how to re-configure the RF cabling.

Integrated Stationary RFID Reader

Systems and methods of the present invention provide for storing a unique identifier for an RFID tag associated with, and affixed to, an asset. An RFID reader, coupled to a server computer through a network, executes firmware instructions causing the reader to receive a transmission from a server computer to run a customizable software with programmable logic at the reader. The reader then recognizes the tag according to its signal strength, and determines a tag state for the tag according to a state machine in the customizable software. If the tag state changes, the reader publishes the tag state and transmits it to the server computer using a low bandwidth solution.

SEMICONDUCTOR PROCESS SYSTEM AND METHOD

A system includes a plurality of masks and a scanner device. A pattern of a semiconductor device is defined by each of the plurality of masks in a photolithography process. A first mask of the plurality of masks includes a first identification code configured to distinguish the first mask from remaining masks of the plurality of masks. The scanner device is configured to read the first identification code to select the first mask from the plurality of mask, in order to form the pattern of the semiconductor device on a substrate according to the first mask.

SYSTEMS, METHODS AND APPARATUSES FOR MANAGING PLANT QUARANTINES
