ID-BASED CONTROL UNIT-KEY FOB PAIRING
A method for pairing a key fob with a control unit is provided. The key fob executes an ID authenticated key agreement protocol with a pairing device based on a key fob identification to authenticate one another and to generate a first encryption key. The pairing device encrypts a control unit identification using the first encryption key. The key fob receives the encrypted control unit identification transmitted from the pairing device. The key fob then executes an ID authenticated key agreement protocol with the control unit based on the control unit identification to authenticate one another and to generate a second encryption key. The key fob then receives an operational key transmitted from the control unit that is encrypted with the second encryption key.
System and a Method for Detecting Information of Assets Stored in Communication Tags
Disclosed is a system for detecting information of assets stored in communication tags and communicating assets information over a communication network. The system includes a bi-directional communication reader, a server, a GPS unit, a camera, a communication module, a relay switch, and a battery. The server stores asset information using a software application. The software application includes a front end application module for configuration, an event module, a back end application module, a communication module, a GPS communication module, a relay communication module, a motion detector communication module and a camera communication module. Further, an unlimited number of modules can be added for example extended storage, LCD, and flash. The event module reads the asset information from the database and alerts the user of an event. The communication module receives processed assets information from the communication tags via the bi-directional communication reader from the specific antenna. Further, the communication module communicates the processed assets information over the communication network via a proprietary protocol.
RFID tag with reconfigurable properties and/or reconfiguring capability
A method for reconfiguring an RFID tag or RFID reader is disclosed. The method may include receiving a wireless signal from an RFID reader; processing, by an RFID circuit, the wireless signal received from the antenna; determining if a first sensor or switch that is connected to the RFID circuit is engaged or activated; outputting a first signal to the RFID circuit when the first sensor or switch is engaged or activated; and changing by the RFID circuit, at least one operating parameter of the RFID tag when the RFID circuit receives the first signal.
Method, apparatus, and computer program product for performance analytics determining participant statistical data and game status data
In one embodiment, a method is provided for transmitting participant data relating to one or more participants that are available in a fantasy game, the fantasy game is at least partially related to a players performance in a sporting event; receiving a selected participant data indication from at least one user, the selected participant data indication provides selection of at least one participant from the participant data; generating a participant data update for one or more participants based on the selected participant data indication; the participant data is defined by a time period comprising an event and is calculated based on blink data transmitted from a location tag mounted to the participant; and transmitting the participant data update, the participant data update is viewable via a user interface.
CERTIFICATE-BASED PAIRING OF KEY FOB DEVICE AND CONTROL UNIT
An electronic device, in disclosed embodiments, includes an antenna, transceiver circuitry coupled to the antenna, a memory configured to store a first operation key and instructions, and a processor coupled to the transceiver and to the memory. The processor is configured to execute the instructions stored in the memory to cause the electronic device to, in response to receiving a first transmission containing an encrypted version of a second operation key that is encrypted by the first operation key, decrypt the encrypted version of the second operation key using the first operation key to recover the second operation key, store the second operation key in the memory, transmitting, by a transmitter of the electronic device, a second transmission that contains the first operation key and a command.
Reader for RFID tag for near-field wireless communication and near-field wireless communication system
In a reader for an RFID tag for near-field wireless communication, an antenna selection switch includes a plurality of antennae arranged with an extent within a predetermined range for transmitting and receiving data to and from an RFID tag, and selects one antenna to be used for transmission and reception of data from among the plurality of antennae. A detection part acquires, when a carrier wave transmitted from the RFID tag is received by any of the plurality of antennae, information indicative of an antenna selected by the antenna selection switch under the control of an antenna changeover controlling part.
RFID VEHICLE TAG WITH MANUALLY ADJUSTABLE DATA FIELDS
A radio frequency identification (RFID) tag for use in a vehicle for use in an electronic toll collecting system. The tag is capable of transmitting data to a tag interrogator indicating the occupancy status of the vehicle. In an embodiment, the tag has a user input and a visual or audible tag status indicator. The user input is used to change the occupancy status of the tag, wherein the occupancy status is a portion of a message sent by radio frequency to the interrogator when the vehicle passes through a toll area. The tag may be used in a system including a tag interrogator configured to read the tag status information and to transmit to the tag information to be indicated by said tag status indicator.
Systems and Methods using Single Antenna for Multiple Resonant Frequency Ranges
A radio frequency device utilizing an antenna having a single antenna structure resonant on multiple resonant frequency ranges. The antenna can be configured to operate within multiple frequency ranges for communication according to respective protocols associated with the respective frequency ranges.
Method and apparatus for associating radio frequency identification tags with participants
Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer readable media are disclosed for associating a radio frequency identification tag with a participant. In one embodiment, a method is provided for associating an unassociated RF location tag with a participant. The method may include determining an unassociated RF location tag to be associated with the participant, receiving sensor derived data from one or more sensors, determining an identity of the particular participant using the sensor derived data, and associating the identity of the particular participant with the unassociated RF location tag.
