Assembly for mounting and independent multi-direction adjustment of a seat back
A seat back angle and depth adjustment assembly includes an angle adjustment member that includes a first aperture and a second aperture, a first fastener is received by the first aperture and is configured to engage an angle adjustment locking member, and a second fastener is received by the second aperture and is configured to engage a depth adjustment locking member.
Folding wheelchair
A folding wheelchair includes two side frames, which are connected to each other via a cross-strut. A fabric is stretched between the side frames in order to form a seating area of a seat. The side frames are formed identically and include an outer tube and an inner tube. The outer tubes have a slot extending in a longitudinal direction (L), which opens at least into an outer tube end. The inner tubes each include a slot extending in the longitudinal direction (L), which opens at least into an inner tube end. A tensioning rod is accommodated in one of the outer tubes and opens into the associated inner tube. The fabric is led to the outside through the slots of the inner tube and outer tube. The inner tube, the fabric and the tensioning rod are connected to one another.
ADJUSTMENT DEVICE FOR REMOVABLY COUPLING A SEATBACK TO A SEAT
An adjustment device for removably coupling a seatback to a seat. The adjustment device can include a first adjuster and/or a second adjuster for adjusting respective linear and angular positions of the seatback relative to the seat. The first adjuster can include a first linear actuator, a main body and a sliding bed. The second adjuster can include a second linear actuator, a sliding bed and an angle plate pivotably coupled to the sliding bed. The first and second linear actuators can each include a cylindrical worm. The first adjuster and the second adjuster can be independently actuatable to change the position of the seatback relative to the seat.
Transfer Chair
Patient transfer chairs are disclosed, with the transfer chairs comprising; a rigid frame supporting a seating surface, with the seating surface being deployable under a patient in a plurality of incremental configurations between a first configuration where the seating surface supports a patient only underneath the bend of their knee and a second configuration where the seating surface supports the majority of a patient's femur.
Wheelchair seat assembly
A seat assembly for wheelchair of the type having a structure expandable from a contracted condition to an expanded position comprises a pair of tubular members connected to the structure. Each tubular member has a main tubular body, a secondary tubular body parallel to and inside the main tubular body, and an elongated slit extending along both the main tubular body and the secondary tubular body and common to both the main tubular body and the secondary tubular body. The slits open into an inner channel of the secondary tubular body. The main tubular body and the secondary tubular body form a hollow integral piece of composite material. A panel, e.g., of non-rigid material has rods on its opposite edges, the rods having a diameter smaller than that of the secondary tube and larger than a width of the slit to be held captive in the secondary tube, whereby the panel extends through the slit.
Access system
An access system includes a laterally extending frame, a carriage in operative connection with the laterally extending frame and including a drive to move the carriage laterally on the frame, a seat support attached to the carriage including a seat assembly interface and a lift to raise and lower the seat assembly interface within a range of positions, a seat assembly attached to the seat assembly interface, a controller in operative connection with the drive of the carriage and the lift of the seat support via which the position of the seat support is controllable, and a controller interface in operative connection with the controller.
TILT-IN-SPACE WHEELCHAIR WITH DYNAMIC TILT RANGE
A wheelchair provides a tilt function characterized by tilt-in-space behaviour in the posterior tilt range and wherein in the anterior tilt range, the seat to backrest angle opens as the seat tilts forward.
System for construction of an adjustable wheelchair and method of using the same
An adjustable wheelchair for ready assembly in accordance with embodiments of the invention are disclosed. In one embodiment, the wheelchair includes, an undercarriage including, a horizontal axle including a first end segment telescopically coupled to a body segment and a second end segment telescopically coupled to the body segment opposite the first end segment allowing for adjustment of the wheelchair width, and a tongue including a body segment telescopically coupled to an end segment allowing for adjustment of the wheelchair length, and a seat post including an end segment telescopically coupled to a body segment allowing for adjusting the wheelchair seat height; and a pair of wheels; and a swivel wheel coupled to the tongue of the undercarriage to support the wheelchair and provide mobility; and a seat bottom coupled to the end segment of the seat post for load-bearing support; and a seatback rotatably coupled to the seat bottom.
