RFID enterprise inventory management systems and methods
Systems and methods to maintain inventory location data in an enterprise inventory management system, wherein the system includes a global inventory database subsystem for cataloging a plurality of inventory items, each of the inventory items identified in the database by at least a unique identification code and a physical location. The system, and related method, detects, using a motion detection subsystem, movement within a region between a first physical zone and a second physical zone; enables, in response to detecting movement, an RFID interrogator subsystem; identifies, utilizing the RF interrogator subsystem, any inventory items moving from the first physical zone to the second physical zone; and, reports, to the global inventory database subsystem, the identity of each identified inventory item, whereby the global inventory database system can update the physical location of each item from the first physical zone to the second physical zone.
Wireless tag system
A configuration that achieves stable wireless communication. In this configuration, electrical power according to transmission waves is reliably supplied to a wireless tag serving as a target of wireless communication. A first wireless communication device and a second wireless communication device are provided. Both the wireless communication devices substantially simultaneously transmit transmission waves on different channels separated from each other by a predetermined frequency or more on a frequency band in the frequency axis, when performing wireless communication processing to wirelessly communicate with a wireless tag in a predetermined communication area.
Self-service modular drop safes with deposit creation capability
Novel modular smart management devices in the form of drop safes include the modular components of a chassis, door and technology cabinet. The drop safes enable retailers to make cash deposits quickly and safely within or near their own facilities. Various technology, including RFID readers, RFID tags, and other equipment allow the drop safes to identify each deposited bag. Employees utilize specialized apps on their mobile devices to facilitate deposit creation and other tasks. Novel methodologies for accessing the drop safes for emptying employ single-use, time-expiration type authorization codes along with other security measures to minimize risk and to provide other benefits. Novel structures along with methodologies for replacing, on-site, modular components with auto-detection of functionality during initialization and re-initialization enables for efficient replacement and upgrading of components, including the upgrading of safes to provide additional functionality.
MOBILE RFID ASSET TRACKER
A self-contained, mobile Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) asset tracker and hardware assembly and method of use thereof. The mobile RFID asset tracker includes a frame mounted on locking swivel casters which provide a mobile base for mounting of an RFID antenna, RFID reader and other electrical equipment thereon. An electronics control box, which is adjustably mounted on the frame, houses the RFID reader, a custom Printed Circuit Board (PCB) control module, cellular and WIFI modems, and a power source. The electronics control box is operatively engaged via Input/Output (IO) ports and cabling to an external indicator assembly and to the external adjustably mounted RFID antenna.
Shelving Unit for a Shipping Container
An improved shelving unit for a shipping container is disclosed herein. The improved shelving unit can comprise one or more shelf assemblies and an RFID reader. Each of the one or more shelf assemblies can comprise a bottom platform and a top platform. The RFID reader can be mounted between the bottom platform and the top platform. The top platform can be capable of supporting items.
Wall Panel for an Automated Inventory Module
An improved wall panel for an automated inventory module is disclosed herein. The improved wall panel can comprise a wall panel. The wall panel can be capable of being mounted at a corrugated interior surface of an automated inventory module (AIM). The wall panel can comprise a substantially flat first exterior layer comprising a first side and a second side. The first exterior layer first side can face the interior of the AIM when the wall panel is mounted at the interior surface, and the first exterior layer second side can face the interior surface when the wall panel is mounted at the interior surface. The first exterior layer can comprise a ferromagnetic material.
Method, apparatus, and system for performing online transactions with biometric authentication
An apparatus, system and method for conducting financial and other transactions using a wireless device are provided. A computing device includes a display screen, a user input interface, and one or more processors. A memory device has stored therein a wallet application for completing transactions based on wireless data communications between the computing device and a merchant system. The memory device further stores at least one electronic credential. The computing device is configured to wirelessly communicate with the merchant system via at least one of a network transceiver and a short-range RF transceiver, and to display information regarding one or more transactions with the merchant system on the display screen. At least one electronic credential is transmitted to the merchant system based on comparing the biometric characteristic of the user with stored biometric information to initiate the one or more transactions with the merchant system.
Waste container monitoring system
A container having a compactor and bin for waste is disclosed permitting on-premises and remote monitoring of the system and collection is disclosed. The system can also detect non-complaint materials placed therein and act thereon. Methods are further disclosed for inventorying identification tags for tracking packages, merchandise and tags disposed of.
Methods for organizing the disinfection of one or more items contaminated with biological agents
The invention provides method for organizing the disinfection of one or more items contaminated with biological agent(s) comprising (a) attaching a radio-frequency ID (RFID) tag to an item(s) to be disinfected; exposing the item(s) of (a) to a disinfecting means for a period sufficient to disinfect the item; and (c) obtaining a signal from the tagged item when disinfection is complete thereby organizing the disinfection of one or more items.
Method, apparatus, and system for performing wireless transactions with biometric authentication
An apparatus, system and methodology for conducting financial and other transactions using a wireless device are provided. A computing device includes a memory device that has stored therein a wallet application for completing transactions based on wireless data communications between the computing device and an external electronic device. The memory device further stores an electronic credential. The computing device includes a wireless transceiver configured to wirelessly communicate with the external electronic device. The computing device further includes a biometric characteristic reader for reading a biometric characteristic of a user. The computing device wirelessly transmits the electronic credential to the external electronic device based on comparing the biometric characteristic of the user with stored biometric information to initiate a transaction with the external electronic device.
