Decreasing false alarms in RFID exit portals
Transmitting a radio frequency identification (RFID) interrogation signal into an RFID interrogation zone of an Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) system. Detecting at least one response signal from a first RFID tag of the EAS system responding to the interrogation signal. Capturing, at one or more times in a window of time around the detection, sensor data within a sensor field, the sensor field and the RFID interrogation zone overlapping to form a zone of interest. Characterizing movement of a non-tag object during the window of time based on the captured sensor data. Determining whether the first RFID tag is associated with the characterized non-tag object based on a comparison of the at least one response signal and the characterized movement of the non-tag object.
SYSTEM FOR DETECTING RECEIVERS
A system for detecting receivers including at least one receiver, a container having a volume for containing the receiver, an antenna suitable for emitting a primary wave in the volume and for receiving a secondary wave emitted by the receiver in the volume in response to reception of the primary wave, and a controller suitable for controlling the emission of the primary wave and for detecting the receiver via the received secondary wave. The system further includes adjustable elements controlled by a control wave, attached to the container and having an impedance that can be modified. Each adjustable element includes a device for recovering energy from the primary wave and/or from the control wave in order to power itself, and a device for receiving the control wave which decodes an adjustment parameter so that the adjustable element controls its impedance.
Contactless security for a retail store
Consistent with disclosed embodiments, systems, methods, and computer readable media for electronic security systems for retail establishments may be provided. Embodiments may include an electronic article surveillance (EAS) gate and at least one receiver configured to receive transmissions from wireless tags associated with products offered by a retail establishment. Embodiments may also include at least one processor configured to receive, from a device operated by a prospective purchaser, a tag ID associated with a specific product for prospective purchase; perform a lookup of the tag ID in a data structure to identify the specific product; initiate an electronic purchase transaction to debit an account associated with the prospective purchaser for purchase of the specific product; and disable an ability to initiate an alarm when the at least one receiver receives a transmission from a tag associated with the specific product in proximity to the EAS gate.
Baggage recording system
An airport baggage recording system. The airport baggage recording system comprises a telescopic robotic arm that loads airport baggage. The robotic arm has one end connected to an upright by a pivot and a second end connected to a disc. A radio frequency identification (RFID) reader is located in the disc that reads RFID tags on the airport baggage when the airport baggage is placed on the disc during loading. Another RFID reader is located on the pivot that reads the RFID tags on the airport baggage when the airport baggage is placed on the disc during loading. The RFID reader in the disc and the RFID reader on the pivot both read the RFID tags on the airport baggage to prevent errors in reading the RFID tags on the airport baggage during loading.
Dynamic termination zone detection system
Examples provide a tag manager component that identifies a plurality of stationary RFID tags located within a three-dimensional space outside an item display area based on an analysis of RFID tag data associated with the plurality of RFID tag readers. A zone detection component analyzes item data associated with a plurality of items corresponding to the plurality of stationary RFID tags and location data associated with the three-dimensional space using a set of per-item criteria. The set of per-item criteria includes a per-item minimum threshold number of items per unit of three-dimensional space and/or a minimum threshold stationary time-period. A verification component analyzes sensor data and/or transaction data to verify whether the three-dimensional space is a termination zone. If the three-dimensional space is a termination zone, an inventory manager component removes the plurality of items from perpetual inventory.
COMMUNICATION APPARATUS FOR PERFORMING COMMUNICATION WITH TAG BY USING MATRIX LAYER
Disclosed is a communication apparatus for performing communication with a tag using a matrix layer. A communication apparatus according to an embodiment includes a substrate including a plurality of layers, and a plurality of readers or a plurality of wireless communication antennas that detect a tag and are arranged on at least one of an upper surface and a lower surface of each of the plurality of layers.
PRODUCT IDENTIFICATION METHOD AND PASSAGE, CONTROL DEVICE, AND PRODUCT SETTLEMENT PASSAGE
A product identification method comprises instructing an antenna in a product verification area to collect first product identification data of identified products in the case where a user enters the product verification area of a product identification passage; instructing the antenna in the product verification area to collect product verification data of identified products in the case where a user enters a product settlement area of the product identification passage; and determining user product data based on the first product identification data and the product verification data. A product verification area is provided to eliminate a tag outside the passage being falsely read and reduce a tag false reading probability.
Accident monitoring system using UWB-based real-time positioning
An accident monitoring system based on UWB-based real-time positioning comprises a UWB tag, a plurality of UWB anchors installed around a processing line and receiving the worker's position from the UWB tag and sensing predetermined information for the processing line, an AP receiving the worker's position and the predetermined information for from the plurality of UWB anchors, a server receiving the worker's position and the predetermined information for from the AP, storing the worker's position and the predetermined information for, and determining whether the worker is in a preset access-limited area, and a programmable logic control (PLC) box, upon receiving proximity information indicating that the worker is the access-limited area from the server through the AP, controlling to stop the industrial robot, the conveyor belt, and the motor in the processing line.
RFID TAG COMMUNICATION DEVICE
According to an embodiment, a wireless tag communication device includes a first antenna that emits radio waves towards a first region of a conveyance path for wireless tags and a second antenna that emits radio waves towards a second region of the conveyance path on downstream of the first region along the conveyance path. A shield prevents the radio waves emitted from the first antenna from reaching a first portion of the first region while permitting the radio waves to reach a second portion of the first region. A controller is configured to select a tag ID read via the first antenna as a target tag ID, designate the target tag ID by communication via the second antenna, and then write tag information via the second antenna to the wireless tag corresponding to the designated target tag ID.
Sensor enabled location awareness system
Systems and methods of identifying wearable tags or other items within a facility. The location of the identifiable item can be calculated by the system and used to improve the efficiency of the facility or to dispatch emergency help or maintenance to the location of the badge.
