In some embodiments, apparatuses and methods are provided herein useful to monitoring and restocking merchandise in a shopping facility. In some embodiments, there is provided a system including: an array of image sensors disposed about a shopping facility for capturing image sequences; a memory device configured to store the image sequences; a plurality of barcodes disposed on merchandise display containers about the shopping facility; a barcode database including a plurality of barcodes corresponding to merchandise; and a control circuit configured to: compare the image sequences with the images from the image database; determine the presence of a barcode at a display container to identify a type of merchandise in the merchandise display container; and estimate or determine the amount of merchandise in the display container.
Managing identifiers of components of medical imaging apparatus
An identification device for a part of a medical imaging apparatus includes: an identifier carrier fixed to a shell of the part and storing information of an identifier of the part, a housing configured to cover the identifier carrier, an image capturing component provided on the housing, and a processor configured to control the image capturing component to capture an image and acquire the identifier of the part based on a captured image. The processor is configured to perform deviation check on a current image captured by the image capturing apparatus currently and an initial image captured by the image capturing component previously and determine whether the identifier of the part has been tampered with or replaced based on a result of the deviation check.
VEHICLE BODY TRACKING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A vehicle body tracking system of a vehicle assembly line provided at a conveyor unit for transferring a vehicle body may include: a mounting frame to be installed at a power rail of the conveyor unit; a pair of rotating bodies installed at the mounting frame; a driven chain to be combined to the pair of rotating bodies and combined with a drive chain that travels along the power rail; and an encoder sensor installed at the mounting frame and connected to at least one rotating body of the rotating bodies. In particular, the driven chain travels on an endless track, and the encoder sensor detects a rotation amount of the at least one rotating body to output the detected rotation amount to a controller.
Wearable digital device for personal health use for saliva, urine, and blood testing and mobile wrist watch powered by user body
Provided are a wearable personal digital device and related methods. The wearable personal digital device may comprise a processor, a display, biometric sensors, activity tracking sensors, a memory unit, a communication circuit, a housing, an input unit, a projector, a timepiece unit, a haptic touch control actuator, and a band. The processor may be operable to receive data from an external device, provide a notification to a user based on the data, receive a user input, and perform a command selected based on the user input. The communication circuit may be communicatively coupled to the processor and operable to connect to a wireless network and communicate with the external device. The housing may be adapted to enclose the components of the wearable personal digital device. The band may be adapted to attach to the housing and secure the wearable personal digital device on a user body.
Drive-thru / point-of-sale automated transaction technologies and apparatus
The present invention includes methods and apparatus for the automated provision of goods through the use of scanning systems. More specifically, the present invention provides a method for automatically conveying which goods are being ordered, where the goods will be picked up, an associated method of payment, kitchen fulfillment, item tracking, and automatic delivery by a dispenser apparatus. In preferred embodiments, the present invention is applied to the automated ordering and pick-up of food items at a fast food restaurant and delivery to a food dispenser at a customer location.
Secure cabinet for dispensing items
A secure cabinet that can secure and distribute products. The cabinet can have a user interface that receives information about a user and the user's identity can then be authenticated. The cabinet can accept a user's request to dispense a product and, if the user is approved, the cabinet can dispense a quantity of product to the approved user.
Wearable device pairing with optical codes
Embodiments for device pairing using optical codes are described. One embodiment is a host device with a memory and one or more processors configured to pair the host device with a wearable device. The paring involves generating and displaying an image including a first optical code, decoding decode a pairing advertisement from the wearable device, generating a second optical code, the second optical code comprising a host pairing advertisement code, and decoding a second pairing advertisement including the host pairing advertisement code. Additional embodiments involve, in response to the second pairing advertisement, establishing a communication channel between the host device and the wearable device, communicating keys between the host and wearable device, and using an application-level elliptic curve Diffie-Hellman (ECDH) exchange with the first key and the second key to establish a shared secret.
Vehicle body tracking system and method
A vehicle body tracking system of a vehicle assembly line determines, in real time, a position of a vehicle body transferred to process sections divided by a predetermined pitch. The tracking system includes: a vehicle body detecting unit installed at a starting point of the assembly line so as to detect the vehicle body; an encoder unit provided at a conveyor unit, which travels along the assembly line and transfers the vehicle body, so as to detect a rotation amount of a rotating body rotated by a traveling body of the conveyor unit; and a controller to receive a detection signal from the vehicle body detecting unit to acquire identification information of the vehicle body and to calculate a moving distance of the vehicle body for each process section by receiving the detection value from the encoder unit.
Modular sled for cooperative power management and physical combination between a mobile device and associated peripheral devices
The present invention relates to an apparatus and method offering a specialized modular sled systems for combination, both in a physically proximate sense, and power usage-wise, mobile devices with peripheral devices without the need for cables, and with structural capabilities that offer the ability for a user to employ the same in substantially simultaneous fashion through a consolidated physical integration that eliminates uneven and/or problematic charging of the same.
