BARCODE SCANNER SYSTEM OPERATING THROUGH USER FINGERPRINT AUTHENTICATION
20210133412 · 2021-05-06 · ·

A barcode scanner system includes a scan unit which includes, on one surface thereof, a scan module for scanning a barcode and has, on the other surface thereof, a structure for coupling to a body unit; and the body unit which has one surface having a shape corresponding to the coupling structure of the scan unit, and includes a display module, a communication module, an operation module, and a fingerprint recognition module. The body unit recognizes fingerprint information of the user through the fingerprint recognition module, and transmits the fingerprint information to a server to perform authentication. When a user input to the operation module occurs after authentication completion information is received from the server, a barcode scan is performed, and the scanned barcode information is transmitted to the server. Barcode information and user information identified through recognition of the fingerprint information are matched and stored in the server.

INDUSTRIAL DIGITAL BARCODE READER
20210133409 · 2021-05-06 ·

A barcode reader assembly for capturing at least one object appearing in a field of view (FOV) is provided that includes a reader enclosure, a circuit board to capture and decode the image, an imaging system, a sound generator housing, and a sound generator. The reader enclosure has an internal cavity in which the circuit board is disposed. The sound generator housing is operably coupled with the circuit board and includes at least one wall having at least one sound port and extending upwardly from the circuit board to form a sound chamber. The sound generator is operably coupled with the circuit board and is at least partially disposed within the sound chamber to generate a sound at a resonant frequency. The sound generator housing is dimensioned to amplify the resonant frequency of the sound generator and port the generated sound to the internal cavity of the reader enclosure.

INDUSTRIAL DIGITAL BARCODE SCANNER

A barcode scanner assembly for capturing at least one object appearing in a field of view (FOV) is provided that includes a base defining a curved base surface and a scanner enclosure being mechanically coupled to the base. The scanner enclosure includes a top portion and a bottom portion opposite the top portion. The bottom portion of the scanner enclosure is positioned proximate to the base. The bottom portion of the scanner enclosure includes a curved scanner enclosure surface. The curved base surface and the curved scanner enclosure surface are nested such that a clearance of less than approximately 5 mm is formed between the curved base surface and the curved scanner enclosure surface.

Ruggedized triggering handle for mobile scanning system

A ruggedized triggering handle device for a mobile scanning system supports a mobile device (tablet, smartphone) attachable by a bracket on the upper surface of the handle. The handle may establish a wireless link to the mobile device; a trigger of the handle device includes a magnetic switch which, when driven proximate to a triggering element enclosed within the handle, causes the triggering element to transmit key codes and instructions via the wireless link, enabling the user to trigger applications and peripheral components (e.g., cameras, scanners, imagers) of or proximate to the mobile device via the handle. The handle may be contoured to the user's hand such that the trigger corresponds to the index finger; additional buttons corresponding to other fingers may allow for remote operation of other applications, functions, and peripherals of the mobile device by other fingers without the need for visual reference to the handle.
