DESIGNATED REGION PROJECTION PRINTING
A system determines an object-design for a three-dimensional model of an object. The object-design may exhibit a design continuity. The system breaks the object-design in to spatial patterns corresponding to the discrete surfaces making up the outward surface of the object. The system then generates flattened patterns by projecting the spatial patterns into a two-dimensional plane. The system prints the flattened patterns on to designated regions of material sheets in an orientation that preserves the design continuity of the object-design. The regions may be extracted from the sheets and then joined at their edges to form a cover for object that exhibits the continuity of the object design.
Print control apparatus, image forming apparatus and method to select sheet type and test chart for performing different types of test printing
A print control apparatus capable of communicating with a printing apparatus, including a sheet holding unit in which a sheet to be used for printing is held, for printing an image on the sheet held in the sheet holding unit includes storage configured to store a type of a sheet, an image, and a setting value of the printing apparatus in association with each other, selects a type of a sheet to be used for printing by the printing apparatus, selects an image to be printed by the printing apparatus, and sets the setting value stored in the storage in association with the selected type of the sheet and the selected image.
Control method for information processing apparatus, information processing apparatus, and non-transitory computer-readable medium
A control method for an information processing apparatus that displays an edit screen of print data for printing a predetermined page, comprising: displaying, on the edit screen, a print region that includes a binding position indicating a position at which binding is performed using a binding material in the predetermined page and indicates a printable region in the predetermined page; receiving designation of a layout position of an image in the predetermined page; and making a notification if the designation is received so that the image is laid out in a predetermined region including at least a partial region in the print region between the binding position and a side of the print region on a side of the binding position, wherein a printing apparatus executes printing based on the print data edited in the edit screen.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS CAPABLE OF MINIMIZING SIZE OF BLANK AREA, IMAGE FORMING METHOD
An image forming apparatus includes an image reading portion, a reduction processing portion, a data processing portion, and a print processing portion. The image reading portion reads image data of a print target sheet. The reduction processing portion reduces external shape data included in the image data based on a predetermined ratio. The data processing portion executes a blank forming process to form a blank area in the print target data by using the external shape data that has been reduced by the reduction processing portion, and executes an obfuscation process to obfuscate a border of the print target area. The print processing portion causes the image forming portion to form an image on the print target sheet based on the print target data that has been subjected to the processes executed by the data processing portion.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD
According to one embodiment, an image processing apparatus includes a scanner to generate image data by scanning a document and a control unit. The control is configured to set, for each pixel in the image data, a second pixel value based on a first pixel value and a difference between a first base value corresponding to a base color of the document and a second base value that is based on neighboring pixel values around the pixel. A correction table is used to obtain a corrected second pixel value for each pixel. A third pixel value for each pixel is set based on the corrected second pixel value and the difference between the first and second base values.
Transform map at printer cartridge
A transform wrapper is stored on a memory device and the memory device may be included in a printer cartridge. The transform wrapper may dynamically build a transform map for a printer based on metadata stored at the memory device. The metadata may indicate at least one of a type of depositing material, transform map, print media and printer.
Designated region projection printing of spatial pattern for 3D object on flat sheet in determined orientation
Fabric inspection device and ink-jet printing device therewith
A fabric inspection device includes a sheet conveying portion, an image reading portion, a timing control portion, a storage portion, a comparing control portion, and a display portion. The image reading portion reads a plurality of images of the same pattern recorded repeatedly with a predetermined pitch on a recording sheet conveyed by the sheet conveying portion. The timing control portion regulates the timing of image reading by the image reading portion. The storage portion stores the plurality of images read by the image reading portion. The comparing control portion takes, out of the plurality of images stored in the storage portion, part of an image continuously recorded on the recording sheet corresponding to the forefront one pitch as a reference image and compares the image data of a comparison image recorded later than the reference image with image data of the reference image to check for image defects.
Print controller, non-transitory computer-readable recording medium storing print control program and print control method
Provided are a print controller for controlling print processing that divides a one-page document into page pieces and prints multiple page pieces per sheet, a non-transitory computer-readable recording medium and a print control method. As one embodiment, the print controller adjusts a layout of the page pieces, in which fields for the page pieces are arranged in multiple lines extending in the page-division direction, so as to reduce the number of the lines to one, and creates print data according to the adjusted layout. As another embodiment, a computing device for creating a print job for printing a one-page document, displays a screen showing candidates for a layout of the page pieces, including an adjusted layout, in which the number of lines of fields for the page pieces extending in the page-division direction are reduced to one, and creates a print job according to the layout selected on the screen.
