Image forming apparatus having function of adjusting print position
An image forming apparatus that suppresses print position displacement. The image forming apparatus includes a plurality of sheet storage sections configured to store sheets. A sheet storage section to be used is selected out of the plurality of sheet storage sections. An image is formed on a sheet supplied from the selected sheet storage section and the image position is adjusted using adjustment values associated with the selected sheet storage section. When an update action performed by sheet replenishment or sheet replacement is detected for a sheet storage section, the sheet storage section for which the update action has been detected is controlled so as not to be selected by the selection unit until a predetermined time period elapses after detection of the update action.
Storage medium storing computer-readable instructions for generating cut print image data based on cut print setting
A set of computer-readable instructions, when executed by a computer in an information processing device, causes the information processing device to perform: a capability responding process; and in response to receiving a print instruction in which a special size is selected through an application program: a generation process; and a transmission process. The capability responding process transfers capability information of a printer to the application program. The capability information includes sheet size information indicating at least one sheet size available in the printer. The at least one sheet size includes a special size with which a cut print setting is associated. The generation process acquires target image data according to the print instruction to generate cut print image data based on the target image data and the cut print setting. The transmission process transmits print data based on the cut print image data and a cut command to the printer.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR THE GENERATION AND USAGE OF AUTHENTICATION IMAGES IN CONJUNCTION WITH LOW-RESOLUTION PRINT DEVICES
Systems and methods applicable, for instance, to the generation and usage of authentication images. In one aspect, unauthorized attempts to duplicate authentication images can be thwarted. In another aspect, there can be provision for authorized authentication image generation using low-resolution print devices.
Image processing apparatus generating print data, print system including image processing apparatus and printing apparatus printing based on print data, calibration control method in print system, and storage medium storing calibration control program
A print system that is capable of performing calibration of the print system that includes a printing apparatus and an image processing apparatus that supplies image data to the printing apparatus appropriately. The printing apparatus controls execution of first calibration. The image processing apparatus controls execution of second calibration. A management unit manages an execution instruction of system calibration that performs the first calibration and the second calibration continuously. A first sending unit sends an execution command for performing the first calibration based on the execution instruction of the system calibration to the printing apparatus from the image processing apparatus. A second sending unit sends a notice showing that execution of the first calibration in response to the execution command was completed from the printing apparatus to the image processing apparatus. A control unit starts execution of the second calibration when the image processing apparatus receives the notice.
Printer that detects a face as a subject, camera with printer, and printing method
In a printer according to an aspect, since a received image is rotated such that the marginal area is positioned in a specific direction with respect to the subject in a case where the image is printed on the instant film, it is possible to acquire the print on which the marginal area is positioned in the desired direction with respect to the subject in a case where the image is printed by using the instant film having the image forming area and the marginal area. A user can fill out a message in such a marginal area, and can acquire a print having a good appearance.
OUTPUTTING PLURALITY OF IMAGES HAVING DIFFERENT SIZES
Provided are an image forming apparatus for outputting a plurality of images having different sizes according to a method pre-set by a user without interrupting a current printing operation when the plurality of images having different sizes are obtained and a method of operating the image forming apparatus.
PRINT CONTROLLER, NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM STORING PRINT CONTROL PROGRAM AND PRINT CONTROL METHOD
Provided are a print controller for controlling print processing that divides a one-page document into page pieces and prints multiple page pieces per sheet, a non-transitory computer-readable recording medium and a print control method. As one embodiment, the print controller adjusts a layout of the page pieces, in which fields for the page pieces are arranged in multiple lines extending in the page-division direction, so as to reduce the number of the lines to one, and creates print data according to the adjusted layout. As another embodiment, a computing device for creating a print job for printing a one-page document, displays a screen showing candidates for a layout of the page pieces, including an adjusted layout, in which the number of lines of fields for the page pieces extending in the page-division direction are reduced to one, and creates a print job according to the layout selected on the screen.
Color conversion apparatus, color conversion method, and inkjet recording apparatus for producing an image layer with improved precision of color reproducibility
This disclosure is directed to improving the precision of color reproducibility in a whole image region of any product provided with a base layer(s) regardless of any form of the base layer(s). The RIP (Raster Image Processor) device includes a color conversion processor that applies a color conversion process adapted for presence or absence of a base layer and for a base color to content data representing part or all of details of an image layer at a respective one of positions in an image region indicated by the image layer, and an image layer data generator that generates image layer data representing ejection-related information of ink droplets of a plurality of colors using the content data that has been subjected to the color conversion process.
Media expansion compensated print content
Examples analyze at least one of a plurality of planes of image data of print content to determine media expansion characteristics for the print content based at least in part on the at least one of the planes of image data. Examples adjust, prior to printing the print content, at least one plane of image data based at least in part on the media expansion characteristics to thereby compensate for media expansion during printing of the print content.
Printing device performing halftone process to convert image data according to target conversion method
In a printing device, a head ejects ink on each of a plurality of printing media. Each of the plurality of printing media is classified into one of a plurality of media types. A control device acquires image data, and performs a halftone process to convert the image data to print data for controlling the head to eject the ink. The control device controls the head to eject the ink to print the image on the basis of the print data. Before the controlling, the control device acquires media information indicating, as an indicated media type, a media type from among the plurality of media types; and performs a decision process to decide a target conversion method from among a plurality of conversion methods on the basis of the indicated media type. The halftone process converts the image data to the print data according to the target conversion method.
