Method and apparatus for selecting a wireless reader action as a result of an output data received from a wireless identification device
A method and apparatus for selecting a wireless reader action comprising the steps of a wireless communication identification device which is a wireless identification device transmitting output data; the wireless reader thereafter receives the output data, wherein the output data comprises an instruction set how to process the output data; and the wireless reader processing the output data and performing a suitable action in compliance with said output data instructions. The wireless identification device comprises at least one of a unique data address and a unique variable encryption key, which is transmitted as part of the instruction set. Authentication of data and resulting permission to decrypt the wireless identification device output data is transmitted to at least one of an authentication server or user API, which processes the data, and generates an authentication code where the wireless identification device output data corresponds with authentication criteria.
CONFIGURING A SET OF APPLETS ON A BATTERY-LESS TRANSACTION CARD
A transaction card may power on the transaction card using electric current induced from an interaction of the transaction card with an electromagnetic field. The transaction card may establish a communication with a device. The communication may indicate that the transaction card has powered. The transaction card may receive, from the device, a set of instructions to configure a set of applets on the transaction card after notifying the device that the transaction card has powered on. The set of applets to be configured may be related to completing one or more different transactions. The set of applets to be configured may be different than another set of applets already configured on the transaction card. The transaction card may configure the set of applets on the transaction card according to the set of instructions after receiving the set of instructions.
RFID enabled metal transaction card with shaped opening and shaped slit
A transaction card for dual interface communication of a transaction includes a card body, a chip opening, a discontinuity, and a transponder chip. The card body includes a first metal layer having an outer peripheral edge, a first metal face, and a second metal face. The chip opening includes a first chip hole transversely extending from the first metal face toward the second metal face thereby defining a first metal edge surrounding a predetermined hole shape. The discontinuity extends from the outer peripheral edge to the first metal edge. The transponder chip module has a module antenna and is configured to be received within the chip opening. The module antenna defines an outer antenna edge surrounding a predetermined antenna shape such that the predetermined antenna shape is the same as the predetermined hole shape for improved inductive coupling via the discontinuity during use.
MEDICAL INSTRUMENT HAVING AN INSTALLED TRANSPONDER MODULE, AND MEDICAL TRANSPONDER COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A medical instrument and a medical transponder communication system. The medical instrument has an instrument body, which has a prepared depression or opening in an instrument body surface, and an installed transponder module having: a transponder, preferably an RFID transponder, particularly preferably a glass transponder, a housing which has an upper side and a lower side and in which the transponder is accommodated and which is provided and designed to be installed or inserted into the prepared depression or opening in the medical instrument with its lower side facing towards the depression so that the lower side is set back relative to the upper side and the instrument body surface, and a screen that is signal-opaque to electromagnetic waves and has a signal-transparent screen opening. The transponder is spaced from and set back relative to the screen towards the lower side.
FOOTWEAR COMPONENT MANUFACTURING METHODS
Physical foaming a footwear component with a single-phase solution of a polymeric composition and a supercritical fluid is provided. The method include temperature conditioning a mold and then engaging the mold with a robot that conveys the mold to a press. At the press a gas counter pressure is applied to a cavity of the mold before injecting a single-phase solution of a polymeric composition and a supercritical fluid into the cavity of the mold. The process continues with releasing the gas counter pressure from the cavity of the mold and then removing the footwear component from the cavity of the mold. The parameters of the method are configured for the formation of the footwear component in an automated manner.
Embedded electronic circuit in grinding wheels and methods of embedding
A bonded abrasive wheel is disclosed comprising a plurality of abrasive particles disposed in a binder, a first grinding surface, a second surface opposing the first grinding surface, and an outer circumference. The wheel comprises a rotational axis extending through a central hub and a circuit configured as a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) unit coupled to the abrasive wheel. The circuit comprises an antenna configured to communicate with one or more external devices and comprising a first end and a second end, wherein antenna has a radius of curvature about an axis along at least a portion thereof such that the first end is disposed adjacent to but is spaced from the second end, and an integrated circuit (IC) operably coupled to the antenna and configured to store at least a first data.
SYSTEM, METHOD, AND APPARATUS FOR UPDATING AN EXISTING DYNAMIC TRANSACTION CARD
A system for securely updating an electronic transaction card held by an account holder with an additional account and/or account data is described. A dynamic transaction card may be securely updated with an additional account by using pre-stored shell data and/or inactive data, whereby the pre-stored shell data may be populated using data received from an issuer system and/or the inactive data may be activated via an activation signal received from a mobile device. A backend server may determine, via a fraud determination, expiration determination, and/or user-request, that new account data should be transmitted to an account holder. The dynamic transaction card may receive the data associated with a notification, update a display, instruct an EMV applet to use a key associated with a received EMV key identifier for signatures, and/or update any additional data stored on the dynamic transaction card.
CONNECTING COMPONENT WITH BUILT-IN RADIO FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION ELEMENT
A connecting component with built-in radio frequency identification element which includes a main body and a radio frequency identification element is provided. The main body has a cylindrical body part and a head, wherein the body part has a connecting end and a free end; the head is connected to the connecting end, and the maximum outer diameter thereof is greater than an outer diameter of the body part; the head has an accommodating hole, and an opening of the accommodating hole is formed at a top of the head; the radio frequency identification element can be inserted into the accommodating hole.
