Signature-based unique identifier
The technology described herein generates a unique identifier for a visual media that comprises pre-printed visual indications on the visual media and a user's handwritten signature. The location of the signature on the visual media can be determined by including preprinted fiducial marks on the visual media. The fiducial markers act as landmarks that allow the size and location of the signature to be determined in absolute terms. The unique identifier is then stored in computer memory on a user-experience server. The user-experience server can associate the unique identifier with a digital asset, such as an image or video, designated by the user. When the unique identifier is provided to the user-experience server a second time, the digital asset can be retrieved and output to the computing device that provided the unique identifier.
Systems and methods for personalizing QR codes
Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer readable media configured to select a code. An image on which the code is superimposed is selected. A block of the code is associated with a corresponding part of the image. A desired value of opacity of the block of the code is determined based on the corresponding part of the image. A personalized code is generated based on the desired value of opacity of the block of the code.
TRANSLUCENT MARK, METHOD FOR SYNTHESIS AND DETECTION OF TRANSLUCENT MARK, TRANSPARENT MARK, AND METHOD FOR SYNTHESIS AND DETECTION OF TRANSPARENT MARK
A method of generating a semi transparent QR code in which a QR code image and an ordinary color background image are synthesized, and a QR code detection method of separating a QR code and a normal color image from an image obtained by capturing a semi transparent QR code are disclosed.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR LABELING CONSUMER ITEMS WITH UNIQUE IDENTIFIERS
In some embodiments, methods of tracking uniquely labeled products are provided. An item representing one unit of a consumer product may be labeled with a unique label via automatically generating a random identifier unique to the item, associating the randomly-generated identifier with the item in a record of an electronic database, creating a label comprising a substrate and the randomly-generated identifier, applying the label to the item, and tracking the item via obtaining the randomly-generated identifier from the label. Products labeled with unique identifiers via such methods are also provided.
Authentication via camera
Systems and methods for authentication via camera are provided. In example embodiments, an authentication server transmits, to a mobile device, an identity verification image. The authentication server receives, from a computing device, a scanned image, wherein the computing device is different from the mobile device. The authentication server determines whether the scanned image includes data from the identity verification image. The authentication server transits, to a web server accessed by the computing device, an indication that a user's identity has been verified upon determining that the scanned image includes the data from the identity verification image.
Mobile device with scannable image including dynamic data
A mobile phone is disclosed. The mobile phone may receive a first request to generate an initial scannable image, and a second request to generate modified scannable image. The modified scannable image can include a static portion that corresponds to a static portion of the initial scannable image. The modified scannable image may also include another portion that has a different appearance than a corresponding portion of the initial scannable image.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, SHELF LABEL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, CONTROL METHOD, AND PROGRAM
A product recognition unit (2020) recognizes a product from an image on which the product and an electronic shelf label are imaged (target image). A shelf label recognition unit (2040) extracts a shelf label ID of the electronic shelf label from the target image. The shelf label recognition unit (2040) recognizes a position of the electronic shelf label (3000) from the target image. A relation information generation unit (2060) generates relation information based on a position of the recognized product and the position of the recognized electronic shelf label (3000). The relation information associates product information of the recognized product with the shelf label ID of the recognized electronic shelf label (3000) closest to the product.
SUBSTRATE WITH A FRAGMENTED MARKING THEREON
Disclosed is a substrate with a marking thereon. A part of the substrate has a two-dimensional structure attached thereto, and a part of the marking is present on the structure and the other part of the marking is present on the substrate itself.
Platform for registering and processing visual encodings
The present disclosure relates generally to the processing of machine-readable visual encodings in view of contextual information. One embodiment of aspects of the present disclosure comprises obtaining image data descriptive of a scene that includes a machine-readable visual encoding; processing the image data with a first recognition system configured to recognize the machine-readable visual encoding; processing the image data with a second, different recognition system configured to recognize a surrounding portion of the scene that surrounds the machine-readable visual encoding; identifying a stored reference associated with the machine-readable visual encoding based at least in part on one or more first outputs generated by the first recognition system based on the image data and based at least in part on one or more second outputs generated by the second recognition system based on the image data; and performing one or more actions responsive to identification of the stored reference.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD CAPABLE OF GENERATING 2D BARCODE USING WORDS CONSTITUTING TEXT IN DOCUMENT IMAGE, INPUT IDENTIFICATION INFORMATION, AND PREDETERMINED SIGN AND ASSIGNING GENERATED 2D BARCODE TO DOCUMENT IMAGE
In an image processing apparatus, upon input of first identification information through an identification information input device and a first document image through an image input device, a control device functioning as a controller recognizes a first text in the first document image, extracts a plurality of words constituting the first text, selects first symbols or characters from the first identification information in a predetermined first order, selects first words from the plurality of words in a predetermined second order, inserts, upon each selection of the first symbol or character and the first word, a predetermined sign and the first symbol or character between the first word and the next first word to generate a first character string, converts the first character string to a first 2D barcode, and assigns the first 2D barcode to the first document image. An output device outputs the first 2D barcode-assigned first document image.
