Terahertz frequency tags and methods for their preparation and use
Embodiments described herein provide for terahertz tags and methods of making and using them. A tag may include a terahertz reflective material; and a saturated hygroscopic material positioned on the terahertz reflective material. A tag may include a terahertz reflective material; and an anhydrous hygroscopic material positioned on the terahertz reflective material. A humidity sensor may include a terahertz reflective material; and an anhydrous hygroscopic material positioned on the terahertz reflective material. A temperature sensor may include a terahertz reflective material; an anhydrous hygroscopic material positioned on the terahertz reflective material; and a polymer overlay having thermally controlled water permeability disposed on the anhydrous hygroscopic material. Some embodiments relate to a tag identification device configured to transmit an incident signal toward the tag, and to receive a reply signal from the tag in response to the incident signal.
INTERCONNECTION SUBSTRATE AND METHOD OF INSPECTING INTERCONNECTION SUBSTRATE
An interconnection substrate having a barcode includes a core layer, an interconnection layer over a first surface of the core layer, an insulating layer to cover the interconnection layer, and one or more additional interconnection layers over the insulating layer, wherein the barcode includes cells arranged at spaced intervals, and a cell pattern is made by forming penetrating holes through the core layer in some of the cells but not in remaining ones of the cells, wherein the penetrating holes are filled with resin, and an end face of the resin is exposed on the same side as the first surface such that the interconnection layer is situated in a surrounding area of the end face but not over the end face, and wherein a number of interconnection layers over the end face is smaller than a number of interconnection layers in the surrounding area of the end face.
Method of manufacturing metal product and metal product
A method of manufacturing a metal product comprise forming a base region on a surface of a metal member by repeatedly scanning along a predetermined first direction while irradiating the surface of the metal member with a base laser beam over a first set of rows. The method further comprises forming a marking by repeatedly scanning along a predetermined second direction while irradiating the surface of the metal member with a marking laser beam over a second set of rows. The second direction is different from the first direction. An identification code having a predetermined pattern comprises a combination of the base region and the marking.
CONNECTOR AND LABEL FORMING METHOD THEREOF
A connector and labeling forming method thereof is provided. The method includes: a laser engraving device generating a laser beam, and controlling the laser beam to engrave a label on a labeling part of a metal shell of a connector. The connector includes a metal shell and a label. The metal shell has a labeling part and the label is engraved on the labeling part by a laser beam. As such, the invention can engrave the label on the labeling part of the metal shell of the connector by using the laser engraving technology to replace the traditional self-adhesive label, thereby being able to solve all the problems caused by the self-adhesive label.
PRINTED MATTER WITH IDENTIFICATION CODE FOR VISUALLY IMPAIRED PERSONS ADDED
Proposed is an identification code for visually impaired people on printed matter to enable people with visual impairments to understand the information printed on the packaging or the contained product's information. In terms of printed matter with this identification code for visually impaired people, the identification code for visually impaired people is readable by a mobile device that has a camera and a specified code reading function, is displayed on the surface of the printed material, has Braille-like convex points projecting outward at multiple points around the identification code for visually impaired people, and has a predetermined distance from center to center of each convex point that is greater than the distance from center to center in the most laterally separated raised dots in adjacent Braille cells.
Increased Storage Capacity for a Method for Long-Term Storage of Information and Storage Medium Therefor
The present invention relates to an information storage medium and a method for long-term storage of information.
INFORMATION BEARING MEDIUM AND INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM
An information processing system includes an information bearing medium and an information reading unit. The information bearing medium has a two-dimensional array of unit data zones. Marks are provided on some of the unit data zones so as to form a digital code. Mark patterns of any two Y-directional adjacent unit data zone strings based on the arrangement of marks in an X-direction differ from each other. The information reading unit generates a data string on the basis of a unit signal formed from a plurality of signals output from a group of detection units that detect the marks in synchronization and recognizes the digital code of the information bearing medium on the basis of a group of the data strings sequentially obtained from the array of the unit data zones.
Method of Production for Tamper-Proof Machine Components
-- A method for producing a machine component from a workpiece includes registering a dimension of a surface of the workpiece to be machined and a margin of tolerance of the dimension, generating a signature pattern for the surface to be machined, shaping the workpiece at least on the surface to be machined, where a signature pattern is simultaneously produced during the shaping, and producing a check code on the workpiece, where the signature pattern has maximum dimensions that are within the tolerance margin.
Shield Package
The present invention aims to provide a shield package having a highly distinctive patterned portion formed on a surface of a shield layer. The shield package of the present invention includes a package in which an electronic component is sealed with a sealing material, and a shield layer covering the package, wherein a surface of the shield layer includes a patterned portion and a non-patterned portion other than the patterned portion, and a ratio of Sal (autocorrelation length) of the non-patterned portion to Sal of the patterned portion is as follows: (Sal of non-patterned portion)/(Sal of patterned portion)>4.0.
Mechanically stamped unique features for authenticity and provenance tracking
Technology for managing objects. A method is applied to a set of objects, for example, in view of commissioning such objects. The method includes patterning a surface of each object of a set of objects to be managed. The patterning is accomplished by using hard particles to make indentations in a surface of each object of the set of object, with the pattern formed on each object being a unique physical fingerprint that can be used to identify the object when performing various manage method(s) on the objects.
