Folding human mobility device
A conveyance to carry humans, such as a wheelchair, is described having levers on each side of the wheelchair that are manually moved forward and backward to propel the conveyance. The user is able to shift into forward, reverse or neutral, brake, and change mechanical advantage (gear ratio), all this without removing the user's hands from the drive levers.
Toilet with internal frame and shroud
A toilet comprising a frame; a bowl supported by the frame; a seat supported by the frame; and an at least partially removable shroud for covering the frame is disclosed. A medical toilet comprising a bowl supported by a frame; a seat supported by the frame; one or more health and wellness assessment devices; and an at least partially removable shroud for covering the frame is also disclosed.
Toilet with internal lifting system
A toilet including a frame; a bowl supported by the frame; a seat supported by the frame; an at least partially removable shroud for covering the frame; and at least one first seat actuator pivotally attached to the frame and to the seat for adjusting the height or angle of the seat; and at least one second seat actuator pivotally attached to the frame and to the seat for adjusting the height or angle of the seat is disclosed. Also, a toilet including a frame; a bowl supported by the frame; a seat supported by the frame; an at least partially removable shroud for covering the bowl, frame, and other toilet components; at least one first seat actuator pivotally attached to the frame and to the seat for lifting and lowering the seat or changing the angle of the seat with the user sitting thereon; at least one second seat actuator pivotally attached to the frame and to the seat for lifting and lowering the seat or changing the angle of the seat with the user sitting thereon; and at least one third seat actuator pivotally attached to the at least one first seat actuator or to the at least one second seat actuator and to the frame for raising and lowering the seat or changing the angle of the seat with the user sitting thereon is also disclosed.
Footrest mechanism, chair support body having same and chair
A footrest mechanism, comprising a chair support body, a locking component and a leg component. The locking component comprises a locking rod, a locking arm and a locking elastic member. The locking rod is pivotally connected to the chair support structure. The locking arm is pivotally connected to the leg component and the locking rod, respectively. The locking elastic member is connected to the chair support structure and the locking arm, respectively. The locking arm can be locked to the chair support structure to define a locking state and the locking state can be maintained due to an elastic deformation of the locking elastic member. The leg component is pivotally connected to the chair support structure and in a transmission connection with a driving component, and the leg component is capable of rotating relative to the chair support structure when the leg component is driven by the driving component.
Nonmetallic Wheelchair
A wheelchair including a transparent frame including a first side panel, a second side panel, a back section between the first and second side panels, and a seat section between the first and second side panels, a plurality of wheels rotatably coupled to the frame, and at least one handle coupled to the frame, wherein the wheelchair is entirely nonmetallic.
Wheelchair mounting systems and methods of using the same
A system includes an adapter and a lock. The adapter includes a flexible collar and an attachment structure. The flexible collar is configured to at least partially surround a portion of the wheelchair such that the flexible collar engages the portion of the wheelchair and aids in preventing rotation of the adapter relative to the portion of the wheelchair. The attachment structure has a first arm attached to and extending from the flexible collar and a second arm attached to and extending from the flexible collar. The lock includes a body and a mounting platform attached thereto. The body of the lock is configured to engage the attachment structure to aid in maintaining the flexible collar in a closed position. The mounting platform has one or more coupling mechanisms attached thereto for use in removably mounting one or more accessories to the system.
LUGGAGE
A folding wheelchair comprising a luggage compartment, a collapsible frame and wheels, the wheels being mounted to a chassis of the collapsible frame for supporting the folding wheelchair in use, the collapsible frame having a first support pivotally mounted to the chassis at a first end of the first support, the first support and chassis being configured to rotate relative to one another between a stowed position, in which the chassis and the first support are adjacent, and an erect position in which the first support extends away from the chassis to support a seat and handles for pushing the folding wheelchair.
WHEELCHAIR APPARATUSES INCLUDING USAGE FEATURES
A powered wheelchair apparatus includes a chair component, a power base component and a wheelchair control system. The wheelchair control system includes a processor and a user input device communicatively coupled to the processor. A display is communicatively coupled to the processor. A memory module is communicatively coupled to the processor that stores logic that, when executed by the processor, causes the system to receive user instructions from the user input device and display a message on the display based on the user instructions. The display is on a back of the chair component.
MOBILITY ASSISTANCE DEVICE
A mobility assistance apparatus includes first and second frames positioned on left and right sides of a user; a hinge arm mechanism coupled to the first and second frames; and a securing unit or a walking seat coupled to the frames to transfer at least a portion of the user's body weight from the legs and to transfer weight through the user's hip or pelvis to the first and second frame enabling the user to stand or work for an extended period without requiring the user's arms to hold the frame.
Device configured to transport a human body
A device includes a main frame; at least one wheel; and supports. The supports are arranged in a support frame movably connected to the main frame. The support frame comprises a seat sub frame and a leg sub frame. The seat sub frame or the leg sub frame is fixedly hinged to the main frame, and the other is displaceably hinged to the main frame. A transformation mechanism associated with the main frame can convert the device between a planar support state and an angled support state. Supports enclose an angle to define a seat and backing support. The leg sub frame is extended beyond its hinge relative to the main frame and comprises a set of wheels at the free end of the extended leg sub frame. The extended leg sub frame provides a sturdy wheel base in the angled support state to define a wheel chair mode.
