The seat back can fold upon the seat for transportability. The seat cushion and armrest cushion can be removably mounted and separately replaceable. The seat can be mounted upon various types of devices, including, but not limited to, wheelchairs.

Wheelchair footrest assembly

A footrest assembly for wheelchair of the type having a structure expandable from a contracted condition to an expanded position comprises a beam assembly having a structural member having a first end and a second end. A first joint one or more rotational degrees of freedom is adapted to interface the first end of the structural member to a first side of a frame of the wheelchair. A linkage assembly is connected to the structural member by a central joint with one or more rotational degrees of freedom and a lockable translational degree of freedom joint. A second joint with one or more rotational degrees of freedom is adapted to interface the linkage assembly to a second side of the frame of the wheelchair. A connector interface releasably engages the beam assembly to the linkage assembly and/or to the second joint when the wheelchair is deployed for use.

Mobility assistance device

A mobility assistance apparatus includes first and second frames positioned on left and right sides of a user; a hinge arm mechanism coupled to the first and second frames; and a pivotable securing unit or a walking seat coupled to the frames to transfer at least a portion of the user's body weight from the legs and to transfer weight through the user's hip or pelvis to the first and second frame enabling the user to stand or work for an extended period without requiring the user's arms to hold the frame.

Lifting, mobility, and rehabilitation apparatus for disabled patients

A mobility device that includes support assemblies that may be secured to feet, legs, thighs, and torso of a user. An exemplary mobility device may further include an actuator that may be coupled with the exemplary support assemblies and may actuate rotational movements of the exemplary support assemblies with respect to each other. Such movement of support assemblies may accordingly move respective limbs of a disabled user. An exemplary mobility device may allow for a user to change position from a lying position to a standing position or from a standing position to a sitting position, which may significantly increase mobility of a disabled user. An exemplary mobility device may further include an exemplary wheeled base that may allow a disabled user to further move around.

ADAPTABLE ATTACHMENT FOOT PLATE FOR A WHEELCHAIR

An adaptable attachment foot plate for a wheelchair that protects a user's feet and legs while providing interchangeable attachment of at least one functional attachment is described. The adaptable attachment foot plate replaces the conventional foot plate and is retrofitted to a wheelchair. The adaptable attachment foot plate is durable and resistant to damage from torque when additional pressure is applied to the adaptable attachment foot plate. The adaptable attachment foot plate includes a base and a guard. The base provides a means for attachment to the wheelchair and the guard provides a means for protection of the user's feet and legs and a means for attaching interchangeable functional attachments without the use of additional brackets to attach the functional attachments.

Convertible wheelchair

A convertible wheelchair system, between a wheelchair configuration and an all-terrain configuration, is provided. Embodiments include a central frame aligned along a central longitudinal axis, the central frame having a front and back bar parallel to each other and orthogonal to the central longitudinal axis, paired side bars aligned with the central longitudinal axis, and paired wheel cages, aligned with the central longitudinal axis and attached to the front and back bars, each wheel cage supporting an axle and a wheel mounted thereon. The system further includes a forward beam alignable with the central longitudinal axis, configured to support a forward wheel, and reversibly attached to the front bar. The convertible wheelchair is in the all-terrain configuration when the forward beam is attached to the frame, and the wheelchair configuration when the forward beam is detached from the frame, the central frame thereby standing without the forward beam.
