Systems and methods for managing railcar usage
A system for managing the transportation of crude oil by rail includes a user terminal having a display screen and a processing system coupled to the user terminal through a communications link. The processing system is operable to generate a user interface on the display screen of the user terminal receiving input information from a user, including information indicating a loading facility for loading a selected set of railcars and an unloading facility for unloading the selected set of railcars. The processing system is further operable to forecast an arrival time for the set of cars at the loading facility and an arrival time for the set of cars at the unloading facility and display the forecasted arrival times at the loading and unloading facilities on the display screen of the user terminal.
System and method for reserving resources and notifying group members
An information processing apparatus is communicable with a reservation management apparatus and an information providing apparatus via a network. The information processing apparatus includes a memory and circuitry. The memory stores association information associating notification destination information and identification information for reservation with each other. The notification destination information is information used for transmitting notification to one or more target persons belonging to a same group. The circuitry obtains reservation information from the reservation management apparatus, and obtains, from the obtained reservation information, particular identification information for reservation identifying a user who requested a reservation of a resource indicated by the obtained reservation information. The circuitry identifies particular notification destination information used for transmitting the notification information relating to the obtained reservation information. The circuitry requests the information providing apparatus to send the notification information to a group associated with the identified notification destination information.
CAR RENTAL SYSTEM AND METHOD VIA PRICE ADJUSTMENT
A car rental system through price adjustment includes a rental-car information provision server configured to collect and manage rental-car data, a rental-car management unit connected to the rental-car information provision server and configured to manage an application program and to deliver rental-car management information of the car-rental company to the rental-car information provision server, a search database configured to collect rental-car demand information, a price adjustment server configured to collect a desired car model, price and demand during the specific period within a predetermined area from the search database, to analyze a demand and schedule of the user, a desired price category of the user, a real-time total stock of the car-rental company and a base price as variables, and to provide an adjusted rental price to the user along with the search result, and a user terminal configured to request price comparison search for an available rental car.
System for synchronizing entertainment production resource procurement with production project scheduling
Producing media content such as films, television shows, commercials, and other formats requires aggregating a large number of resources before, during, and after filming. A method of production scheduling that directly connects to real-time accessible marketplace resources (labor, equipment, services) to help producers find and hire the equipment, creative services, and human capital needed to produce a film or other audiovisual media is disclosed. This method helps producers schedule and book the resources they need to produce content. The resources are tied to a smart timeline that synchronizes production schedule changes against available resources. The method also alerts suppliers and producers of any changes to the production timeline.
Aggregated supply chain management interfaces
In some implementations, a system for providing interfaces for visualizing and managing a supply chain includes an inventory readiness date system that is configured to generate inventory readiness dates for items in the supply chain. Inventory readiness dates can (i) be calendar dates on which the items are expected to be available for distribution at destination locations, (ii) be generated upon creation of orders for the items, (ii) be configured to remain fixed and unchanged for the items regardless of events affecting delivery of the items to the destination locations. The system can further include a supply chain data system that is configured to receive and aggregate supply chain information for the items from a plurality of supply chain data sources. The system can further include a supply chain tracking system that is configured to generate and present interfaces for visualizing and managing the supply chain.
SEASONALITY VALIDATION AND DETERMINATION OF PATTERNS
Techniques are described herein for seasonal pattern determination and validation. In one or more embodiments, a set of time-series data is received to analyze for seasonal behavior. In response a plurality of patterns may be generated, including a first pattern and a second pattern, such that each of the first pattern and the second pattern approximate data points that represent a same sub-period of multiple instances of a season within the set of time-series data. One or more other instances of the season may then be analyzed to determine whether at least part of the first pattern or the second pattern is detected. Based at least in part on determining that the at least part of the first pattern is detected in the at least part of the same sub-period, a responsive action that is associated with the first pattern may be performed.
MANAGEMENT OF TASKS
A method, computer program and apparatus is disclosed. The method, performed by one or more processors, may comprise receiving, from one or more predetermined organizations, datasets representing entities and datasets representing one or more tasks for those entities and storing in a database, in accordance with an ontology which is common to the organizations, the received one or more datasets as data objects, the ontology defining properties of data objects and relationships between the data objects. The method may also comprise mapping the data objects stored in the database to the organization from which the one or more datasets were received and receiving, through a querying application, a query from a user of one of the predetermined organizations to view one or more data objects relating to a task. The method may also comprise identifying the organization to which the user is associated, generating, based on the mapping, a view including at least the one or more task data objects associated with the identified organization and not data objects associated with other organizations and displaying the view on a user interface.
EFFICIENCY ENHANCEMENTS IN TASK MANAGEMENT APPLICATIONS
Efficiency improvements for electronic task managers and an improved user experience are realized when more relevant and fewer irrelevant tasks are presented to users and users are given greater control in manipulating those task items. By heuristically determining times, locations, and semantics associated with task relevance and integrating the management of tasks into more applications, the functionality of the systems providing for electronic task management is improved, as computer resources are spent with greater utility to the users and the user experience is improved for the users.
Device, Method, and Graphical User Interface for Meeting Space Management and Interaction
An electronic device, with a display and one or more input devices: displays a first user interface element provided to create a calendar event, the first user interface element includes a location input element provided to receive user inputs in order to add a location for the calendar event; detects a first input that corresponds to the location input element; in response to detecting the first input, displays in association with the location input element one or more locations for the calendar event, where at least one of the one or more locations corresponds to a virtual conference; detects a second input that corresponds to the virtual conference; and, in response to detecting the second input: generates call-in information and a link for the virtual conference; and associates the call-in information and the link with the calendar event.
WORKER-MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS
A worker-management system having a computer-application, with the computer-application including a profile-module, a safety-ticket-module, a certification-module, an information-module, a notifications-module, and a calendar-module, all in functional combination. The computer-application includes multiple profiles and accesses such that the employee-user may store information related to multiple employers; and the employer-user may store information related to multiple employees. The worker-management system is useful for providing a computer-assisted application which provides storage, tracking and management of information such that the information which is generally issued and maintained via hardcopy (e.g., ID card, paper-copy, etc.) is maintained on/in a computer-operable medium to conserve resources as a tangible output. The worker-management system may further include digital-video-storage capabilities such that the user (employee-user and/or employer-user) is able to upload and download digital-videos.
