Apparatus and methods for payment transactions using near field communication
In various embodiments, the mobile device includes an NFC tag for near-field communication. The NFC tag includes a first storage device and a second storage device. Personal data is stored on the first storage device, which is not accessible by an NFC reader device. Prior to a transaction, the personal data is transmitted from the first storage device to the second storage device, where the data is readable or accessible by the reader device. In one embodiment, the data remains stored in the first storage device and available for future use. In another embodiment, the data comprises financial product data.
CUSTOMIZABLE PAYMENT DEVICE
A customizable payment device includes a storage having at least one application. A central processing unit (CPU) is coupled to the storage, and the CPU is configured to execute the at least one application. An input/output (I/O) interface is coupled to the CPU and to the storage. The at least one application comprises a multi-function payment application in which at least one payment function is limited in operation based on a particular product or service.
Determining specific terms for contactless card activation
Systems, methods, articles of manufacture, and computer-readable media for determining specific terms to activate a contactless card. An application executing on a server may receive a request from a device specifying a uniform resource locator comprising encrypted data, the encrypted data based at least in part on a private key assigned to a contactless card. The application may decrypt the encrypted data and determine a type of the contactless card. The application may determine a plurality of terms associated with the type of the contactless card and transmit the terms to a web browser on the device. The application may receive, from the web browser, an indication specifying acceptance of the plurality of terms. The application may store, based on the decryption of the encrypted data and the received indication specifying acceptance of the terms, an indication in a database specifying the contactless card is activated for use.
UNBANKED SAFELOAD
A system having a payment-credential logic; a software application; wherein when an authorized person verifies an identity of a mobile customer using a government identification document, the payment-credential logic is then activated, the payment-credential logic is configured to create payment-credential information and to cause the payment-credential information to be stored for future access, wherein the payment-credential logic is configured to provide a way for the software application to be loaded into a mobile customer device, wherein the software application is configured to allow the mobile customer device to access the payment-credential information for one or more future monetary transactions.
System and Method for Rapid Activation and Provisioning of an Electronic Payment Device
Provided herein are systems and methods for rapid activation of electronic payment devices with a mobile device. The method includes generating, with at least one processor, activation data corresponding to a non-activated electronic payment device issued to a user, storing, on an activation element associated with the electronic payment device, a unique identifier corresponding to the electronic payment device, receiving, with at least one processor, an activation request from a mobile device in response to the user scanning the activation element with the mobile device, the activation request comprising identification data associated with the user and the unique identifier, determining, with at least one processor, that the activation data matches the identification data, and, in response to determining that the activation data matches the identification data, activating the electronic payment device.
MOBILE TERMINAL AND METHOD FOR RETAIL TRANSACTION SETTLEMENT PROCESSING
According to one embodiment, a mobile terminal for use in a self-service checkout system includes a processor, a communication interface connectable to a reservation management server, and a display screen. The processor receives product identification information for identifying a product to be purchased in a sales transaction, and displays a reservation request screen on the display screen to receive a reservation request for which a reservation time for using an accounting device for settlement processing of the sales transaction is set. The processor sends the reservation request to the reservation management server via the communication interface and receives a reservation request response from the reservation management server. The reservation request response includes reservation information when the reservation request is accepted by the reservation management server. The mobile terminal outputs identification information corresponding to the reservation information if the reservation request is accepted by the reservation management server.
EMBEDDED APPLICATIONS
Embedding applications, or parts thereof, into other applications, or parts thereof, is described. In an example, an engagement with a first application, or a part thereof, can be detected, which can trigger a second application, or a part thereof, to be initialized in response to the engagement. In at least one example, the first application, or a part thereof, can provisionally transfer to the second application, or a part thereof. Based at least in part on detecting a user interaction with the second application, or a part thereof, a portion of the user interaction can be embedded in the first application, or a part thereof, and the embedded portion of the user interaction can be presented via a user interface associated with the first application, or part thereof, via a user computing device.
Identity authentication, number saving and sending, and number binding method, apparatus and device
Disclosed are an identity authentication, number saving and sending, and number binding method, apparatus and device. The identity authentication method comprises: receiving a user identity authentication request sent by a data authentication platform client, wherein the user identity authentication request comprises user authentication information and user identification information, and a data authentication platform server pre-stores the user authentication information and a registration number and a password, which correspond to the user identification information; acquiring, according to the user identification information, the user authentication information pre-stored in the data authentication platform server; matching the user authentication information in the acquired user identity authentication request with the acquired user authentication information pre-stored in the data authentication platform server; when the matching is successful, receiving a result, sent by the data authentication platform client, of confirming the acquisition of the registration number by a user.
Secure and safe method to disabling payment functionality on lost or stolen transaction cards
The disclosure includes systems and methods for disabling a payment function of a transaction card. The system receives payment account data from a transaction card and transmits a payment authorization request message to a card issuer associated with the transaction card. The system receives, from the card issuer, an authorization request response message. The authorization request response message declines the transaction and includes a status response code corresponding to a status of the transaction card. The system determines whether the status response code indicates that the transaction card is to be captured, and if so, disables the payment function of the transaction card via activation of a disabling system.
Biometric generate of a one-time password (“OTP”) on a smartwatch
One-time password (“OTP”) generation on a smartwatch is provided. OTP generation may include communication between an application on a smartwatch and an application on a smartphone. The request for an OTP may be received at the smartwatch. A biometric identifier may also be received at the smartwatch. The smartwatch application may communicate with the smartphone application. An OTP may be generated within a third-party library within the smartphone application. The generated OTP may be transmitted from the smartphone application to the smartwatch application. The OTP may be displayed on the smartwatch.
