DATA COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
20220327170 · 2022-10-13 ·

The present invention relates to systems for communicating data. In particular, systems for communicating data to and from mobile devices are described. One system involves the use of a server to store the association between a shortcode and the data. A user device can be used to transmit the shortcode to a second user device. The second user device can then access the association at the server to access the data. The shortcode is transmitted via an audibly unique signal between the two devices. Further devices, systems, and methods for redeeming vouchers, transferring money, unlocking content on a device, and authenticating transactions all using audio are also disclosed. A method for managing data communication on a mobile device is further disclosed. In addition, a system for asynchronous transmission of the data is disclosed by use of reserving a shortcode at a server before the shortcode is associated with data.

Provided is a configuration that confirms a settlement means designated by a user who makes settlement and reliably makes the settlement involving communication with a user terminal of the user. A store terminal inputs a user utterance made by the user and designating the settlement means via a microphone, executes voice recognition processing to determine the settlement means designated by the user, and transmits the user utterance to the user terminal via a communication unit. The user terminal determines whether or not the user utterance input from the store terminal matches a registered user utterance for collation stored in a storage unit, and transmits a payment execution notification to the store terminal on the basis of determination that the user utterance matches the registered user utterance. The store terminal executes the settlement processing in response to the payment execution notification received from the user terminal.

PERFORMING PURCHASE TRANSACTIONS WITH AUDIO TRANSMISSIONS USING COMPLEX AUDIO SIGNALS

Methods and systems for performing purchase transactions with audio transmissions. In one embodiment, a method is presented that includes receiving, via a first communication interface, a first audio transmission containing purchase information for a transaction transmitted from a merchant device. The purchase information may be displayed and approval of the transaction from a user may be received. The transaction may be executed via a second communication interface responsive to receiving approval of the transaction from the user. A confirmation may be received via the second communication interface. An audio transmission containing the confirmation may be sent via the first communication interface, to the merchant device.

Conducting secure transactions by detecting credential message with audio between first appliance and second appliance

Provided is a system, method, and computer program product for conducting secure transactions with at least two appliances. The method includes monitoring audio data with a first appliance including a processor, a speaker, and a microphone; detecting, with the first appliance, an audible request to initiate a transaction from a user from the audio data; communicating, with the first appliance, a transaction request to at least one remote server in response to detecting the audible request to initiate the transaction; detecting, with the first appliance, a credential message received by the first appliance directly from a second appliance via an audio transmission, the credential message corresponding to the transaction request and including a limited use key provided to the second appliance from the at least one remote server or another remote server; and in response to detecting the credential message, initiating, with the first appliance, the transaction based on the limited use key.

User account matching based on a natural language utterance

Techniques are described for user account matching based on natural language utterances. In an example, a computer system receives a set of words, a voice print, and offer data about an offer based at least in part on a natural language utterance at a user device. The computer system determines a set of user accounts based at least in part on the set of words and determines, from this set, a first user account based at least in part on the voice print. The first user account is associated with a first user identifier. The computer system determines that the offer is associated with a second user account that is further associated with a second user identifier. The computer system generates associations of the user accounts with user identifiers and with the offer.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR VALIDATING CUSTOMER INTERACTIONS

A method may include generating, by a computing device, a first dynamic QR code comprising a plurality of QR code frames, each QR code frame transmitted at a first frequency, the plurality of QR code frames comprising non-viable QR code frame(s) and at least one viable QR code frame. The method may include displaying, by the computing device, the first dynamic QR code, the at least one viable QR code frame displayed at a first time. The method may include transmitting, by the computing device, a first pulse to a user device. The method may include capturing, by the user device at the first time and in response to receiving the first pulse, the at least one viable QR code frame. The method may include generating and displaying, by the user device, a second dynamic QR code, causing the computing device to complete a requested transaction.

STARTING NETWORK-BASED SERVICES USING A VOCAL INTERFACE WITH COMMUNICATION SOFTWARE ON A MOBILE COMPUTING DEVICE

A method for starting network-based services using a vocal interface includes collecting voice information from a user and identifying network-based service information and transaction data. The network-based service information includes a voice command for starting one or more network-based services for the user. The transaction data includes one or more parties associated with a transaction and a transaction amount. The method further includes sending at least a portion of the voice information that includes the network-based service information and the transaction data to a server to process the one or more network-based services based on the service information and the transaction data.

A method of providing blockchain wireless services in a controlled environment is provided. The method comprises a wireless communication device associated with an inmate of a controlled environment receiving one of a voice and video call from a device external to the controlled environment. The method further comprises the device placing the received call into a hold state and sending a request for validation of the call via a blockchain, the request identifying at least parties to the call. The method further comprises the device, upon receipt of validation, removing the call from the hold state; and enabling at least one of voice and video functionality for the parties. The method further comprises the wireless communication device sending the request for validation to a telecommunications server and the server conducting real time monitoring of the call. The method further comprises the device continuously recording the call.

Providing improved contact center agent assistance during a secure transaction involving an interactive voice response unit

A secure payment agent assist (“SPAA”) feature provides assistance to a contact center agent during a transaction involving sensitive information, where the sensitive information provided by the remote party is maintained in secure manner, so that the agent is not exposed to it. The agent is assisted by being provided with a pop-up window that allows the agent to invoke a “recollect” and “cancel” function during the transaction. The pop-up window also provides information to the agent making the agent aware of the progress of the transaction as the remote party interacts with an interactive voice response (“IVR”) unit. In other embodiments, a configuration parameter allows the prompts for the payment information to be provided by the agent or the IVR.
